KLM Aerocarto DH-89B Dominie (PH-OTA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This file contains a repaint for the beautiful de Havilland DH-89A Dragon Rapide by Dave Garwood c.s. which is available at Classic British Flight Sim. It features the DH-89B Dominie PH-OTA of KLM's susidiary KLM Aerocarto which was used from 1952 till 1962 for air photography. The real aircraft still exists, in the camouflage livery it had during its days with the -then- Netherlands Air Force. It is part of the static collection of the Nationaal Militair Museum (National Military Museum) at Soesterberg, Netherlands which is to open its doors in the Autumn of 2014. The de Havilland DH-89 Dragon Rapide was designed as a short-haul airliner for 6-8 passengers, making its first flight from Hatfield on 17 April 1934. During WW2 many Dragon Rapides were impressed by the military forces for communications transport and served under the name de Havilland Dominie. Additionally over 500 Dominies were built, the majority as radio and navigation trainers but several also as communications and transport aircraft. Since de Havilland's priority was the mass production of the famous Mosquito, 335 of the Dominies (including PH-OTA) were built by Brush Coachworks Ltd., Loughborough, UK. In all 731 DH-89's were built, several of which are still airworthy some 68 years after production came to an end. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Quebec CYQB Download

File Description:
All pilots have used or heard the word "Quebec" during their radio communication but not many pilots actually landed at Quebec International airport (CYQB). A great number of Head of States, VIPs, tourists came to Quebec City for summits, special occasions or to visit the city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Quebec airport is also hosting a great airshow and this year in June, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Quebec City, five of the world best aerobatic squadrons will perform simultaneously over Quebec: the British "Red Arrows", the French "La Patrouille de France", the US Navy "Blue Angels", the USAF "Thunderbirds" and the Canadian "Snowbirds". It will be quite a sight. This very accurate scenery will give you the opportunity to visit CYQB with your simulator. Months of effort were devoted to make this scenery as real as possible. This package includes more that 25 highly detailed hangars and buildings all having night textures, some of them have windows with specular effect. Light poles provide aprons lighting. The adjacent mount Belair have communication towers with strobe lights visible for over 12nm which provides a good visual reference coming into the airport. Exceltech, a maintenance facility has static aircrafts parked in front. A second publication will include the new terminal which is presently under construction.

WPDL Dili International Airport v1.0.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an X-Plane 11 scenery for Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport (WPDL/DIL) in Dili, East Timor (Timor Leste). This airport may serve as a stopover for flights between Java and Papua, for the Susi Air scenery package. Susi Air is pictured in the 2014 TV mini-series "Worst Place to be a Pilot", that follows the highs and lows in the lives of the young British pilots who work for Susi Air, as they fly and land their planes in some of the most breath-taking, remote and dangerous locations on earth. For more info, search for "Worst Place to be a Pilot" in YouTube. This scenery was tested and is operational (as of January 16, 2017) in "X-Plane 11 Public Beta #6 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. It was also tested and is operational (as of January 16, 2017) in "X-Plane 10.51 Public Beta #3 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. In XP10, you may have a scenery error message saying the sceney may not look correct. This is due to one file used from XP11 native library. If you see this message, just ignore it, bypassing it by clicking "understood". The scenery will load and will be operational in XP10 users (as a courtesy), despite being created natively for XP11 users.

Focke Wulf TA152 JG301 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Classics Hangar FW190D / TA152 package, in the colors of WkNr 150168, 'green 9' with JG301, one of the TA152's flown by Oberfeldwebel Willi Reschke during the latter days of the war. Reschke (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willi_Reschke) was one of only two pilots to shoot down enemy aircraft while flying the TA152, one RAF Tempest on 14 april 1945 and two Russian YAK-9s on 24 april 1945. The aircraft was captured by the British Army, and used for flight testing by Eric 'Winkle' Brown at Farnborough. The aircraft was exhibited with other captured aircraft in 1946 and later scrapped. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the blank textures by Classics Hangar. Please note: I have painted a swastika on the tail for this repaint. If you have the 'historical markings' installed for the FW190D/TA152 package, then these will show over the swastika of the paint. In order to prevent this, I suggest removing the file "ch_Ta152_stencils" from the "Classics Hangar_FW190D-9\texture"folder and placing it in the respective 'texture.1' folders within the "Classics Hangar_TA152H-0 and -1" folders. This will allow that swastika on the tail to be visible in the original paints, but not in this one. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Classics Hangar.

Kindley Field Bermuda 1955-1962 Download

File Description:
Kindley Field, on the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda, was built as a joint RAF/USAAF facility during the Second World War. Subsequently the RAF area became the civilian terminal while Kindley Air Force Base was operated by the USAF between 1948 and 1970. It was primarily a staging post between the US and Western Europe for land-based planes unable to cross the Atlantic non-stop, very like Ernest Harmon in Newfoundland and the civilian Gander, and like Harmon it closed when the jet age made such bases redundant. Prior to that it hosted no combat units, but the 59th and then 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadrons, the 'Hurricane Hunters', were based there, and also from 1 February 1956 to 15 June 1963 the 303rd ARS Stratotankers were present to support Strategic Air Command and other refueling requirements. After 1970 it became a US Navy facility primarily concerned with tracking Soviet submarines, and was closed at the end of the Cold War. This scenery represents Kindley between 1955 and 1962 and has custom made scenery by Dan French and ai military traffic by Al Von Pingel to add to the downloadable California Classic civilian and MATS traffic available at Tom Gibson's site. Like Harmon and Gander, it was one of the most important airfields of its time.

Caproni-Vizzola C-22J Ventura Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Machine: A fully aerobatic, very-light Jet that compares to the Bede BD-5J, but heavier and sporting two instead of one TRS-18 turbojets. Up to Mach 0.47 and 650 NM of range, with a service ceiling of 25000ft. A low stall speed (for a jet) makes the aircraft good for short field operations. Certified for VFR operations only, yet includes a good avionics suite. This is a "Classic" aircraft featuring "Steam" gauges and radios. Yet, controls and systems are easy to operate. The History: The C-22J is the last aircraft to be adorned with the legendary Caproni name. Originally known as "Caproncino", then marketed as "Ventura". A very-light jet developed in the 1980s as a military trainer, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft. Powered by two TRS-18 turbojets fed from a dorsal NACA intake, the aircraft reached Mach 0.47 and was fully aerobatic. The airframe shows its origin in a glider design, the Caproni A-21 Calif. After the merger with SIAI Marchetti, the project was cancelled in favor of the SF-260. The Simulation - 3D Model: This aircraft ships with a 3-D cockpit, that incorporates realistic night lighting, in the form of a dim dome flood light, backlit gauges and luminous digital displays. The flight crew of 2 is affected by your input in the payloads menu of Flight Simulator, allowing to choose between male, female or empty seats. The Copilot Figure can be hidden with a quick click in the internal 3D view as well. The Simulation - Realism: This aircraft has been tuned with the invaluable help of Engineer Carlo Ferrarin, who created the real aircraft. Unique and one-off documentation has been kindly provided, and used extensively, for the creation of this product! Just like the real aircraft, the systems are simple and of easy operation. Engines can be started with the press of a button. Systems modelling allows the following of real-world checklists as closely as Flight Simulator allows. An in-sim checklist is included, as well as a full flight manual. The flight model is tuned with advanced aerospace techniques, resulting in a highly realistic aircraft, yet, it is very pleasant to fly, both during aerobatic displays or "A to B" cruising. Highlights: - High-Resolution 3D cockpit - Full Documentation - Aerobatic FS-2004 Version comes with limited support and is free due to platform limitations. See Readme. FS-X & P3Dv4 (64-bit) versions are commercial products.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, which rolled off Boeing's production line in Seattle in march 1944. This was around the transition from camouflaged to bare metal aircraft, which led to the odd situation that the datablock was stencilled onto a OD panel, while the rest of the aircraft was left bare metal. This was because the datablock was sprayed on right at the beginning of production. The aircraft was assigned to the 401st BS of the 91st BG, and was collected at the depot in Burtonwood by Paul McDuffee, who was so impressed with its smooth handling that he asked to be assigned to it. The aircraft was named by its crew chief, Hank Cordes, and was named after a popular song by the Andrews Sisters. Originally, the name was 'Shoo shoo baby', applied in gothic letters, which was later replaced by a Vargas girl and an additional 'shoo', painted by Cpl. Tony Starcer. McDuffee flew 13 missions with 076, before completing his tour of duty. On completion of his last flight, he buzzed the airfield and flew so low that fencing wire became entangled in the tail wheel. On the plane's 23rd mission, on 29 may 1944, Lt. Robert Guenther was flying 076 on a raid to Poznan when he suffered engine failure on one engine, and a while later, flak knocked out a second engine. 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' started to fall behind, and when a third engine started to falter, Lt Guenther decided to turn to neutral Sweden, with the crew jettisoning all loose equipment. A group of FW190's closed in, but did not open fire, peeling away. By the time 076 reached Bulltofta airfield near Malmö, it had only one engine left, but it did manage to perform a safe landing. The crew were interned, and the aircraft was impounded. The crew returned to the UK in October 1944, and 'Shoo shoo shoo baby' would later tour the world... Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

FSX/P3D/FS2004 Trinidad and Tobago Air Services DC-6B 1978 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Douglas DC-6B in Trinidad and Tobago Air Services - TTAS colors. The freeware CalClassic DC-6B by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. Trinidad and Tobago is an island nation of the southeastern West Indies, in the Caribbean. It consists of two main islands — Trinidad and Tobago — and several smaller islands. Caribbean United Airlines Ltd. was the main carrier operating a service from Trinidad, the main island, to Tobago, which is off to the North of Trinidad. However, Caribbean United Airlines - established in 1970, failed as an airline and stopped operations in 1974. The government of Trinidad and Tobago consequently formed TTAS at Port of Spain on June 12, 1974 to take over the Port of Spain to Tobago service suspended upon the failure of Caribbean United Airlines. With a pair of Douglas DC-6Bs, TTAS, became the second national carrier, and undertook air bridge flights to Tobago, as well as routes to Grenada, Martinique, and St. Lucia. The DC-6Bs were replaced between 1977 and 1978 by HS-748s. After a short lifespan of 6 years, TTAS was taken over and merged into the main Trinidad and Tobago national carrier - British West Indies Airways, in 1980. Textures are 32bit bmp. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. It should also work on FS2004.

Macedonian Aviation Douglas DC-3 Download

File Description:
Macedonian Aviation was formed as a charter operator in the summer of 1972 with a Dove and one DC-3 G-AMPO based at Luton and later, Southend Airports. By February 1973 the Dove had been sold and operations continued with the DC-3. Operations steadily grew and by December 1973 charter flights started to be flown in the oil rig support business from Aberdeen. With this work increasing Macedonian looked for further DC-3s to expand its operations, and in March 1974 it purchased British Island Airways' remaining three DC-3's. The first of these, G-AMHJ and G-AMRA were in service at Aberdeen Airport by May 1974 and G-AMPO was moved back to Southend to continue charter flights from there. The oil companies were beginning to insist on turbo-prop aircraft for the transportation of their personnel. Macedonian started negotiations to replace the DC-3's with Viscount or Heralds, but these negotians were unsuccessful so operations continued with the DC-3's. The third ex BIA DC-3 G-AMSV eventually arrived at Southend in September 1974 but this aircraft never entered service with Macedonian. In November 1974 all aircraft were flown back to Southend and Macedonian ceased all flying having been unable to raise any finance to support turbo-prop operations, and the DC-3's were sold. This repaint is of G-AMPO. Requires default Douglas DC-3.
