File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of G-PBYA, originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A. It was built by Canadian Vickers at Cartierville, Quebec and was allocated their constructors number CV-283 before adopting the RCAF serial 11005. It was taken on charge by the air force on 27 October 1943 and initially saw service with 9 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron at Bella Bella on the British Columbia coast between Vancouver and Prince Rupert. It was on their inventory from November to the following August. 9 Squadron had been based at Bella Bella for some time prior to the arrival of Cansos, having operated Supermarine Stranraers there. The Cansos were mainly operated from water despite their amphibious undercarriages and were used on day and night patrols, looking out for enemy submarines. By mid-1944, the threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Canada had receded and it was decided to disband 9 Squadron and close the station at Bella Bella. The Cansos, including 11005, were flown to Alliford Bay in the Queen Charlotte Islands, also in British Columbia, and transferred to 7 (BR) Squadron in August. The job was the same – anti-submarine patrols mostly – and 11005 remained with 7 Sqn until it too was disbanded on 25 July 1945. After a post-war career as transport and waterbomber, it was acquired by Plane Sailing in 2004, restored and repainted as a OA-10A of the USAAF. It is based in Duxford. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc BR290, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Bowery, when it was flown off USS Wasp on the 9th of May 1942. Lessons had been learned from an earlier delivery run, and all 61 aircraft that reached Malta were immediately refuelled and rearmed, to be ready to repell the axis airfleets that came to destroy them early on the 10th. In the resulting air battle, the Italian bombers were chased away, and 47 German fighters were shot down (for the loss of 3 British), marking the end of daylight raids on Malta. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains two repaints for the A2A Lockheed L049 Constellation in the colors of 5Y-ABF of Britair. British East Africa Airways was formed by Captain Marian Kozubski in November 1964, formerly owner of Falcon Airways, as a charter company to operate IT charters from Europe to East Africa. One L-049 (G-AHEL) was bought from Euravia and registered 5Y-ABF. It operated every thee weeks on schedules from Rotterdam to Nairobi and Mombasa via Malta staring 20 December 1964. A fleet of four 049's were planned, but the airline suspended operations at the end of the summer of 1965, and only operated that aircraft. 5Y-ABF was finally scrapped in Shannon in 1966. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
This airport took me forever to do. It has 132 gates, 4 cargo spaces, and 6 GA parking spaces. The inside runways (8R/26L and 9L/27R) are used for takeoffs and the outside (8L/26R and 9R/27L) for landings. I tried to make it as accurate as possible by looking at the terminal layouts on their website. Concourse T is for American Airlines, United, and Delta. Concourses A and B are all for Delta. Concourse C is mostly for ASA and some for AirTran. Concourse D is for Air Canada, America West, Continental, Corporate Airlines, Frontier, Midwest, Northwest, Vanguard, and Delta. Concourse E is for mostly international flights such as Air Jamaica, British Airways, Korean Air, Lufthansa, AeroMexico, Air France, Delta (international), and South African Airways.

| Viscount Hunting Clan Air Transport |

File Description:
Formed in 1945, Hunting-Clan Air Transport was another of the well establish independants that went on to form British United. They used a fleet of Viscount 700 and 810 series to replace Vikings on trooping flights and services to Central Africa in association with Airwork. The trooping flight largely dried up however causing the sale of the 700 fleet some of which were unused. The 833 series like the Airwork examples had the large door of the 800. The middle one of a batch of three, G-APTC like the other two was built with only one window ahead of the wing on both sides. | Oceanic Grumman G-21 Goose |

File Description:
Designed to be a 'commuter' plane for businessmen in the Long Island area, the Grumman Goose was first manufactured in 1937. She was designed to cater for up to 7 passengers. The US Navy showed an interest in the amphibious aircraft in 1938, eventually acquiring 222 airframes. The Goose also served with the US Coast guard and the US Army, and later served in a military role with the British, Canadian, French, and Portuguese armed forces. 376 of them were built by 1945. Subsequent modifications (since 1966) have seen some of the aircraft modified to use turbine powerplants.
This particular Goose is in a fictional paint scheme. TEXTURES ONLY! This model requires Mike Stone's G-21 Goose, which is available on AVSIM or on Mike's homepage (http://www.pmstone.com). Repaint by Graeme Porter.
