| Ontario Small Fields in Canada: #7 Lucan CPS4 |

This is the seventh in a series of small airfields in southern Ontario Canada, Lucan CPS4; plus revised AI and parking for #6 Nixon CNX8 to include a crop spray plane (the Grumman 164) which I have just identified from a photograph; plus a note re an addition required to the different crop spray aircraft (the AT802) config file so that it parks correctly at St Thomas CYQS.
Lucan is 15 miles north of London Ontario, and 20 miles southeast of Lake Huron. The airfield is the base for a small crop spraying business and has a grass runway of 3,100 feet aligned 09/27, and with lighting. The overhead cables that previously imposed a 550 feet threshold displacement on the runway 09 approach (up to and including 2010) have now been buried. The lighting is owner-controlled and cannot be turned on from the air. Fuel and oil is available. The crop spray plane is a Grumman G164A Ag-Cat, which was manufactured in the 1970's and remains in use with a lot of owner-operators.

This FS2004 package is a free texture update for our previous greek "Santorini big scenery". The original project contain the "Santorini Thira Int. Airport" (Iata: JTR - Icao: LGSR)scenery and the "Santorini island" scenery (lanclasses, landmarks, autogen and more).
With this texture update (over 50 new files) you'll become new textures for some ground service veihcles (better quality and updated fuel companies), new textures for some airport buildings (updated to summer 2015, better resolution and quality), new "soft edge transition" on the apron textures, reduced texture size for the far away scenery objects (the result is a frame rate improvement) and other minor texture updates. This package contains textures only so the original "Santorini big scenery 2012" demo/free or full version is required.
Watch the screenshot and the demo video on the Albysim youtube chanel and check all scenery features reserved to the Premiun User (3D papi lights, 3D taxi lights, new vehicles, new autogen greek houses, new volumetric grass, new cablecar, other new details and objects).

This is the fourth in a series of new and renovated float bases in BC. Health Bay is a small village on the west coast of Gilford Island, just 13 miles northwest of Minstrel Island (the previous post in this series). There is no fuel or oil available. The AI is a further adaptation of the original CF36 AI and involves a Baxter Beaver flying from Port Hardy on a round trip in the area through Port McNeill, Health Bay, Echo Bay, and Sullivan Bay. At Health Bay the AI appears to work for both landing and takeoff, though landing will still depend on wind direction. I have played with circuit height and runway length at Minstrel Island and there are improvements, so there is a Minstrel Island replacement bgl. All of these float bases can be installed together in the same folders, with a saving in duplicate textures. So a series called BC Floats (or whatever you want to call it) or individually installed float bases; your choice. The next in the series will be Echo Bay, shown in an included screenshot.

| Minstrel Island CAX7 float base in British Columbia, Canada |

This is the third in a series of new and renovated float bases in BC. Minstrel Island is on the south side of Knight Inlet and 25 miles west of Knight Inlet Lodge (the previous post in this series). There is a resort on the island, though it is hidden from the air by the trees. Fuel and oil are both available at the dock, and there is a 17 feet tidal range, which would be interesting of it could be replicated in FS. The AI is an adaptation of that for CF36 and involves a GA Cessna, and a Seair Beaver flying from Campbell River to Knight Inlet Lodge via Minstrel Island. Again, because of large hills the landing of the AI may or may not take place, depending on wind direction and whether or not they fly into solid rock before landing. Take off and departure will take place. Ultimate Terrain Alaska/Canada would be a definite plus to get the water in the right shape and place. This scenery will not work without it.

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire LF IXc OO-ARE as it looked around 1960 when flying as a target tug with Cogea in Belgium. Originally NH238, it went to the Dutch Air Force in 1946, where it flew as H-60 and H-103. It went to the Belgian Air Force in 1952, becoming SM-36. It was sold to Cogea of Ostend in 1956, and was used as a target tug until 1961 with the registration OO-ARE. It was sold to the UK, becoming G-MKIX. It was dameaged from a ground fuel explosion in Exter in 1961, but restored again. It went to the US in 1969, where it became N238V, returning to the UK again in 1979. It was last flown as NH238/D-A, but it was removed from the registry in 2002. It is rumored to be in storage at Greenham Common. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

| Republic P-47D-20 365th FG (B4-U) "Turnip Termite" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-15-RE 42-76127 B4-U "Turnip Termite". It was the assigned aircraft of Captain Arlo Henry, of Dearborn, Michigan, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG. He had touched the ground with his prop on one of his earlier missions and the ground recovered from his engine on that occasion gave rise to the name 'Turnip Termite' for his aircraft. On 7 June 1944, Lt Joseph Miller was flying Henry's B4-U over Normandy when he thought he was low on fuel and could not reach the base in England anymore. He bellied in near Omaha Beach in a minefield, and he had to walk out through the fresh furrow created by his aircraft. 'Turnip Termite' was recovered, but was consigned to be salvaged. The cowling panels with the name were used on later versions of Capt. Henry's 'Turnip termite'. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

By 1998, Aloha Air was down to operating 737-200s, having ditched the 737-300s and 737-400s that they flew earlier in the 1990s. The 737-200 would remain the mainstay of the inter-island fleet until the shutdown in 2007. Impressively, every one of the airlines' high frequency routes was daily. The arrival of the 737-700s and flying to the mainland USA would come a little later. The airline would eventually fail in 2008, after a hike in fuel prices and competition from Mesa Air Group's iflyGo! forced the airline into hardship. In it's history, Aloha opearted 63 different 737-200s. Some of them lived on as the company re-organized into the much smalled "Aloha Air Cargo" which is around today. This is a reasonably accurate and up-to-date version of Metro Oakland Intl airport with two optional files and made only for FSX users, do not use in P3D: There is one version with the Crosswind runways operating where all 4 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default airport runway operation.
This update removes the "jfk jetways" mainly for those who have had issues installing the textures to get these Jetway to display, these have now been replaced by Jetway extensions that are more like the real world, Terminals 1 and 2 rebuilt with something better than the stock airport, assigned parking as per their website with extra parking, the Fedex and UPS ramps and buildings replaced, all taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, support vehicle roads rebuilt, extra fuel trucks, Helipad added to the GA apron and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

| 13 Northern Ontario Airfields in Canada |

These are 13 airfields in northwest Ontario, Canada. They were previously posted individually, but not on Avsim. There is a screenshot of Google Earth showing their names and locations. There are also updates to two previously posted airports, Red Lake CYRL and Sioux Lookout CYXL, and AI with the supply flights that are vital for these isolated outposts. Pickle Lake is a northern airfield that is connected to the rest of Canada by an all-weather road, and a large number of the supply flights originate from there. In fact these flights are the primary reason for the small towns existence. This will be followed by a posting of a similar number of northern Manitoba airfields. You may wonder about the numbers of fuel tanks at these airfields. These are not for the airfield use, they are for the settlement to be able to generate electricity and also to provide heating in the winter. A livery of PMDG 747-400F in colours of a cargo company named Cargo B.Cargo B Airlines started operations on 14 October 2007 with flights to Johannesburg.The company ceased operations on 1.7. 2009 The fleet consisted of 1 747-200 freighter leased from 3P Air Freighters Ltd and 2 747-400F. Cargo B was based in Belgium, with it's head office in Zaventem. This is a repaint of their first 747-400F OO-CBC named Artemis. I hope you will like this repaint. I hope that the worst times are behind us!
