Most of us modify panels at some time or another. If understanding more about panel construction catches your interest, then this 4-part tutorial can help get you started. By building a panel from beginning to end, graphic techniques will be illustrated in a step-by-step, easy to learn approach. They will teach how to make the structural components of a panel and wrap them in simulated 3D effects to achieve near-photographic realism. By Glenn Copeland.

Covered areas are Innsbruck Airport, the city of Innsbruck, 100 km of the Inn valley, the Wipptal Valley, the Stubaital Valley, the Zillertal Valley, the Gurgltal, seefelder Plateau, Mieminger Plateau, St. Johann Airport, Zell am See Airport (Salzburg) and some minor areas. Tested with FS2002 default terrain mesh. Created with John Cillis' fantastic Landclass Assistant.

A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 1)

File Description: The L.3 was a partially failed attempt to create a very simple and cheap monoplane trainer, better suited to the entire basic training syllabus of Regia Aronautica pilots from 1940 onwards. This open cockpit version was also adopted for 'lead in' training, by the Croatian Air Force, and eventually the Luftwaffe, and by the A.N.R. for assault glider pilot training. Some also served as 'unit hacks' during WW2. Full details are in the supplied contextual history. This release (Part 1) provides two open cockpit MDLs, with different landing gear, many relevant liveries, a combined contextual history of both the open and closed cabin versions, and an illustrated Student Training Manual to allow realistic simulation of the wartime Axis 'lead in' training syllabus. The Part 2 of this release will later feature the enclosed cabin version. VC only. It also works subject to some limitations within in FSX. FS2004 Tutorial: Gauge graphics, Part 1. This comprehensive article describes methods for simulating gauge bodies, data windows, controls, and panel cutouts. Shadows, transparencies, text, beveling, feathering, contouring, textures, illumination, plus a host of other techniques are detailed. Over 300 illustrations were used to show how the graphics for an example FS gauge were created. The demo gauge is fully functional and available separately for D/L, file PatGauV1.zip. Greece SRTM Mesh Part 1

File Description:
This terrain mesh scenery covers Greece, including all Aegean sea islands, plus most parts of Albania and Macedonia up to 41°50'N. Some parts of Bulgaria and Turkey are also included in northern and eastern boundaries of the mesh. The greek island of Crete isn't part of this mesh because SRTM data isn't yet released for the whole island. Based on SRTM Data (3 arcsec, 90m), generated with Matthew Styles's program "SRTM To BGL v1.04", sampled to LOD9 resolution (76m). While only tested with Fs2004, this mesh should also run with FS2002. This part contains northern parts of the mesh: Greece-N.bgl, Greece-NE1.bgl and Greece-NE2.bgl. Australian Lighthouses - Part 1 - Queensland

File Description:
Around Australia's coastline there are over 350 lighthouses. I received a suggestion a month ago asking if I would do the locations of the lighthouses down the coast of New South Wales and when I did a bit of research I thought, why not do the whole 36,735 kilometres around Australia? So here is the first chapter - the lighthouses that dot the Queensland coast, from the tip of Cape York to the border at Coolangatta, about 30 in all. Note that only the default Flight Simulator items are used; there is no requirement for any third-party objects.

Russia-Missing Fields part 1

File Description:
Missing, misplaced or "Runway only" airfields in the Russian Federation for Prepar3D version 3. Not tested in other versions!!! Only basic scenery made with ADE 1.7 with stock buildings and objects. All airfields have parking spots for AI aircraft. For correct use of the Terminal navaids you should have updated your stock navaids database. Read the textfile inside the zip for info about updating these navaids. More fields will follow in a couple of weeks
