This is an accurate and up-to-date version of George Bush Intercontinental Airport with two optional files and made only for FSX, do not use in P3D: There is one version with the Crosswind runways activated and in full operation where all 5 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default airport runway operation: All terminals have been completely replaced with something better than the stock airport, this now includes terminal B south and the new terminal C expansion, the Fedex ramp and building replaced, and the northeast cargo ramp and buildings updated, assigned parking updated as per their website including a gate and parking spots for the A380, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, drainage canals, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

File Description: Yet another terrain mesh package of the European Alps? Well, this one is different in that it is NOT primarily based on the Shuttle Radar (SRTM) data with their incomplete coverage of prominent peaks and ridges. Instead, most of the source data for this project were developed over many months by Jonathan de Ferranti using detailed topographic maps. While Jonathan's work is unrelated to flight simulation he kindly gave me permission to compile his data for use in FS. The result is a wonderful improvement in detail and accuracy over any existing SRTM- or DTED-based mesh file, freeware or commercial (a link to an extensive set of screenshot comparisons is included in the read-me file). I've compiled the source data at LOD10 (38-m) grid resolution because the coverage area is smaller than most existing mesh files. Thus, anyone can use these files without having to first uninstall their current mesh set. Also included are LOD9 and LO8 buffer mesh files. Note: if you own Switzerland Professional with its high-resolution terrain mesh then you don't need this package, at least not the Switzerland files!

Robert J. Miller Air Park Airport (KMJX), NJ

File Description:
Located 05 miles SW of Toms River, New Jersey on 232 acres of land, R.J. Miller Air Park is a public asphalt strip 5949' in length. The airport buildings and immediate surrounding area have been included, magnetic variation adjusted, PAPI properly placed, taxiway lines drawn accurately, beacon properly placed, lit winsock and wind tee (both functional). The parking available has been matched to the current configuration of the airport, which is still undergoing renovation. Not included is the under-construction building just to the south of the terminal and the additional large hangar just north of the already-existing one. Taxiway lighting could not be seen in aerial photos - complete liberty on behalf of the author was taken when placing taxiway lights. Helipad is lit at night although the real world pad is not. Tiedown parking is available on the main tarmac in three sections: Southwest, Northeast, and regular Parking which is in the middle. RAMP_GA_SMALL parking spots are for aircraft with wingspans no greater than 40 feet. RAMP_GA_MEDIUM parking spots are for aircraft with wingspans no greater than 60 feet. RAMP_GA parking spots are occupied/blocked by static objects and should not be chosen as a start location (although collision detection with all such objects has been disabled). There are 4 open hangars - three to the Southwest are for RAMP_GA_SMALL aircraft while the Northeast one is for RAMP_GA_MEDIUM aircraft or smaller. All hangar parking spots are labeled DOCK_GA. A hangar on the main tarmac and a hangar on the tarmac to the south and west removed from the airport have attendants that can be called on NAV2 - this appears to be FS9 only. Both hangars have undecorated interiors and no parking spots to start from. There is only one helipad to start on but helicopters can also start in any RAMP_GA_MEDIUM location with no problem. Fuel for aircraft/helicopters is available by stopping next to the fuel pumps (not the fuel tank) at the north end of the main tarmac. The helipad will supply fuel when landed on. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 002. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Qantas Consolidated PBY-5 5 paints

File Description: Five repaints for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of PBY-5's operated by Qantas on the 'Double Sunrise Service' between Western Australia and Ceylon between 1943 and 1945. In 1943, Royal Australian Air Force personnel were seconded to operate Catalinas under the banner of Qantas. The plan called for flights between Perth, Western Australia, and RAF Base Koggala in southern Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). The flights were the longest non-stop air route of any airline, over 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km) across the Indian Ocean. Navigating without the aid of radio, the crews relied solely on rudimentary navigation by compass and stars during the trip. Only Catalinas had that kind of range, so five PBY-5 flying boats were converted to make them suitable for the trip. They received camouflage paint, with a RAAF roundel on the fuselage, but also a civilian registration, since they were officialy operated by Qantas, and they were named after the stars they would be using for navigation: Vega Star (G-AGFL/FP221 - tail code 1) Altair Star (G-AGFM/FP244 - tail code 2) Rigel Star (G-AGID/JX575 - tail code 3) Antares Star (G-AGIE/JX577 - tail code 4) Spica Star (G-AGKS/JX287 - tail code 5) Taking between 27 and 33 hours, with departure timed so that the flight crossed Japanese occupied territory during darkness, the crews would observe the sunrise twice, which led to the service being known as "The Double Sunrise". The flight route flown was along the coast from Perth to Exmouth then setting out towards Cocos (Keeling) Island or Christmas Island (though neither was actually sighted during the flight) and onto Kogalla, a journey of approximately 3,580 nautical miles (6,630 km). After the success of the initial flights, it was decided to run a weekly service, with some services flying over Rottnest Island and then taking a direct line to Kogalla. As part of the Australia-England air route there was a surface component from Kogalla to Karachi that added considerable time to the service. This was later replaced by the Double Sunrise service, with Karachi to England flown by BOAC. Air crews would change in Kogalla taking the next plane in either direction minimising the time taken to complete the journey. Though stripped of all non-essential equipment, including de-icing equipment and insulation, the average takeoff weight was 15,900 to 16,000 kg; this included 9,040 liters of fuel, which gave the Catalina a range of 3,600 nautical miles (6,700 km). The service made 271 crossings, delivered over 4,500 kg of mail and carried 860 passengers, including among them British MP Edith Summerskill and the journalist Keith Murdoch. 'The Secret Order of The Double Sunrise' was an illustrated certificate given to passengers aboard the flying boats of the Australia-England air link, to attest they had been airborne for more than 24 hours. After the war the five modified Catalinas that had flown The Double Sunrise service were scuttled. Repaints by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft

File Description:
Welcome to Southern Alberta! These three flights will take you over wide-open prairie and gentle, rolling foothills that rise up into the majestic Rocky Mountains. Over places where dinosaurs once roamed, and cowboys still ride the range. Small towns, badlands, and spectacular parks. I suggest you download and install Dwayne Matheson's mesh files for southern Alberta. There are 5 zip files in all to cover this area you'll be flying in. For one of the flights you'll need an aircraft w/ tundra tires. I suggest you download Brian Gladden's Piper Super Pacer.
