File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II (Version 2)- Part 1 of 2. This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This revised model set is what I originally envisioned when I undertook the modification of Nick Black's F-4E source files. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early, middle, and late F-4D base models; as well as the no-IRST and LORAN-equipped variants. The six main aircraft variants include a total of 45 loadout options, and a whopping 100 repaints representing these aircraft in service with the USAF (plus ANG and AFRES); as well as the South Korean and Iranian air forces. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for repainters. Of particular note, I have taken great pains to ensure that virtually every USAF/ANG/AFRES line unit is represented in some time period. This project properly updates my comprehensive (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.

| Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S |
|

File Description:
Royal Air Force Dassault Mirage IVK/S. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's follow-on to the immensely successful Mirage III family. Built in 1959, this aircraft served for over 40 years in the roles of strategic nuclear deterrence and strategic reconnaisance. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this aircraft in the flightsim world. This package is a speculative study, if you will, of the might-have-been progression of this aircraft. The RAF expressed interest in the Mirage IV in the 1960s, but re-engined with the Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan which powered their versions of the F-4 Phantom II. Additionally, exploration was made to use technology from the unsuccessful BAC TSR project for the RAF Mirage IV. This package represents two variants, the Mirage IVK, essentially the IVA with RR Spey engines; and the Mirage IVS, the more re-designed aircraft incorporating some of the BAC TSR technology. Ultimately, this proposed variant did not become reality. In addition to the RAF, Israel, India, and France expressed interest, so paints from all four countries are included. Loadouts are generous, covering heavy strategic bombing, electronic warfare, precision strike, and the original nuclear and recce configurations. In total, there are 32 models and 50 repaints in this package. Lastly, I am including layered Photoshop paint kits for all variants in this package. Original aircraft model, flight dynamics, some effects, and textures by Michael Pearson; tremendous amounts of help from Michael MacIntyre and Frank Safranek.

Images related to this file:
File Description:
FSX Agusta Westland EH 101 v2 Updated. The EH101 one of the world's best helicopters, but Microsoft did not put much effort into this model and it lacked a lot of stuff. The helicopter has been reworked to make it more like the real world aircraft. Reworked the aircraft configuration flight dynamics to stabilize the engine surging that occurs with the default aircraft. Reworked the air file to make the aircraft handle more realistically. Added a couple of landing lights on the rear struts found on the Asian and S.O.P. operators of aircraft. Added heat and exhaust effects to all three engines. Added new reflective strobes that double flash off body of aircraft. Added two working radars that will track aircraft. First the pilot's radar has tracking for aircraft only. Second the co-pilot's Radar has tracking for airports, land mass terrain following, aircraft, NDBs, VORs, airport ID. Added radar controls for both systems within the VC. Added easy to read MFD and PFD screens. Moved engine read gauges to lower level. Added Helmet Mount Display (HMD or HmountD) with mouse clickable switches with ground speed that will read in negative (reverse) flight and useable timer. Added radios (default Extra 300). Added pop-up GPS. Added pop-up door control gauge, for quick access to aircraft. Added pop-up light switch. Added switch-able vocal ground proximity warning system with fire alert, rotor low / high alert, under carriage alert, altitude alert Added auto-hover gauge. Added pop-up radar control for ground track system.

File Description:
C421C advanced physics
Modification for the Alabeo C421 C Golden Eagle
Version: tested for P3DV4; should work also with P3DV5 (and probably FSX)
1. Why I developed the advanced physics version
I was asked via this forum, via PMs and also by e-mails to provide a modified version of the Alabeo C421C which can be used for serious multi-engine training. It should have accurate type specific performance for both AEO (all engine operative) and OEI (one engine inoperative), the latter for either a windmilling prop at various speeds and for a feathered engine. Feathering should work as realistic as possible.
Thus, I developed an advanced physics version of the Alabeo C421C. It shows realistic physics for negative thrust (prop drives engine). This is necessary for OEI training and more realistic idle power simulation.
2. Modified files
Modification includes “c421.air†and “aircraft.cfg†files. Data is based on real world Cessna 421C, N100L, 421C-0313.
Aircraft data, equipment list, checklist and other documents for N100L,
as well as some images of C421C, registration N100L, can be found here, too.
Unfortunately, due to copyrights, I can’t upload the full files and can’t provide the AFM and other copyright protected documents.
3. How to install
To update “c421.airâ€:
- Copy the original Alabeo C421 to another aircraft folder, e.g. “C421C advanced physicsâ€.
- Use AirEd (freeware) and open the original “c421.airâ€.
Open AirEd a second time and open “modifications advanced physics c421.airâ€.
Copy the modified tables 511 and 512 to the original .air file
(right click in modification file -> copy -> right click on original file -> replace from clipboard)
To update “aircraft.cfgâ€:
Just copy the modifications to the corresponding position in the original file.
4. Legend of modifications
Modifications in aircraft.cfg:
- Basic Empty Mass (actual mass for N100L 5,154 lbs inserted; most C421C are more heavy, ours is on diet)
- correct basic data for engines + props
- engine friction included (necessary for all negative thrust scenarios)
- flaps lift + drag scalar adjusted (split flaps)
- 2 vacuum pumps
- VMO = 151 KIAS; VNE= 240 KIAS
- cabin: max. differential pressure: 5.0 psi
Modifications in c421.air:
- implemented negative thrust scenarios in prop thrust and efficiency curves (tables 511 + 512); adjusted thrust curves for high TAS at high ALT
5. Side effects of modifications:
- more realistic engine starting:
starting the engine needs the throttle to be 2 cm above idle (see checklist) for the first 15 seconds
- if you start the engine and don’t retard the prop to medium RPMs immediately, you will overstress engine and prop. So be careful when doing an air start, you might lose the prop and the aircraft. (In the real aircraft, these effects are less severe, but you have to avoid high RPMs until the engine is warmed up and have to avoid rapid change of RPM.)
6. Additional Notes:
- Basic aircraft data as published by the manufacturer, like range and service ceilings, especially OEI, are based on MTOM.
- The use of high payloads close to MTOM and higher ambient temperatures are making for a more challenging OEI training.
- In the sim, climb power is too low compared to full power (about 65 % instead of 75 %). I have to find a way to adjust that.
- I have buttons for engine failure under the mixture (see images)
- Seat Position is, like in many Aircraft, higher than as per Default by the sim. For the C421C and me being 5 ft 7 in, that's about 7 clicks arrow up.

| B-26K (A-26A) Counter-Invader |
|
File Description:
In the early 1960's, meeting the need for a "counter-insurgency" aircraft, the USAF chosen On Mark Engineering Company of Van Nuys, California proposed the following major modifications to the already existing B-26 airframe: a complete remanufacture of the fuselage and tail assembly, an enlarged rudder, rebuilt and strengthened wings, re-engining with 2,500 hp P&W R-2800-52W engines, larger, fully reversible propellers with automatic feathering and clipped tips, full dual flight controls, two 165 gallon wing tip tanks, a full compliment of airborne electronics and more. This new aircraft was first delivered to the USAF in June of 1964 under the designation B-26K. Later aircraft had their cowlings revised with the air scoop being relocated further back on the cowl. By April of 1965, all forty B-26K Counter-Invaders had been delivered to the USAF.
For all effects, gauges, and the excellent A-26 sound package by David Copley, the original SOH A-26 Invader is required to be installed before installation of this aircraft. Included in this package: model by Milton Shupe with K model modifications by John Terrell, textures by Russel Smith, Henry William, and John Terrell, 2D panel and gauges by Rich Murray, flight dynamics by Jerry Beckwith and Tom Falley modified by John Terrell, pilot figures by Jan Visser. A special thanks goes out to Milton Shupe who generously provided me the original source model to work with as well as a great amount of help whenever I ran into a tough spot. Also I'd like to thank Cliff Presley for all of his excellent resources he has provided to this project.

File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 2). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set utilized FSDS source files for Nick Black's original F-4E Phantom II 8-LOD AI model, and has been heavily modified for this project. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early, middle, and late F-4D base models; as well as two Iranian Air Force F-4D variants. The five main aircraft variants include a staggering total of 42 loadout models, and 42 paints representing these aircraft in service from Vietnam to current day. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for eager repainters. Of particular note, the celebrated units in this package are the 555th TFS (USAF), 134th TFS (Vermont ANG), 184th TFG (Kansas ANG), and 3rd TFW (Iranian Air Force). All listed units have multiple serial repaints; as well as several other unique paints. This project is the continuation of what will hopefully be a comprehensive and fairly complete (AI traffic) history of this aircraft.

McDonnell Douglas F-4J(UK) Phantom F.3 (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 5). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,195 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set utilized FSDS source files for Nick Black's original F-4E Phantom II 8-LOD AI model, and has been heavily modified for this project. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains one F-4J(UK) base model, but is split into two time periods, representing use of both Sparrow and Sky Flash missiles. There are two full squadron paints for 74 Squadron, including eight loadouts and 15 serials per squadron; representing these aircraft in service from 1984-1990. I am not including the usual paint kit because these aircraft were only used by one RAF squadron, and I have included all serials. This project is the next part of what will hopefully be a comprehensive and fairly complete (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I learned a lot from previous releases, and these models are vastly improved from the original releases I have done recently (v2 models for those will be forthcoming). I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included.
