| MD-83 Fly the Maddog Panel Update |
|
File Description:
Here you can see my unofficial update for the MD-83 Fly the Maddog. This update will change a lot of things from the panel, like a removeable flightyoke. This update includes also a real MD-83 AP and an altitude rader. I have also changed some other gauges to make the panel more realistic. MD-83 Fly the Maddog is needed for this update!

| FS2002 Val-U-Prop Plane and Panel |
|
File Description:
FS2002 Val-U-Prop Douglas DC-3 Plane and Panel
Val-U-Prop is a (fictional) rogue airline based in Bloomington, Indiana, that flies everything from VIPs to sheep manure anyplace and anytime. VP's motto is "No job too small; No fee too large," and our DC-3's and DC-6's can be seen hedge-hopping into various obscure airports throughout the USA. Based on the lovely DC-3 Pluna by Daniel Gazzano, this aircraft is a re-paint of the fabulous DC-3 OH-LCH by Jan Visser, Erik Ellis, Roy Chaffin, Ian Roper and Bill Rambow, to which FS2002 lights have been added. Panel includes everything on main panel, except for GPS, so there is no tabbing. (Default pop-up radio stack is also included.) Panel is based on photographs by Bill Blanchard (lower panel) and Shawn Clark (upper). The very aluminal wing views were shot by Thomas Andre Hjelmen, and the 1930s cabin was photographed by Ben Wang and is populated with various VIPs. All of this brought to you by Val-U-Prop - where WE VAL-U-YOU! By James Underwood

| Work-around tutorial for the PIC panel |
|
File Description:
Since I posted screen shots of my PIC panel in FS2004 in the AVSIM PIC Forum, I have recieved dozens of emails requesting a tutorial on how I achieved these results. This is that tutorial. This download will explain how the vector gauges can be displayed via undocked windows with the panel remaining exactly as it appears in FS2002. It is only useful for owners of PIC. THIS IS NOT A PATCH FOR PIC TO WORK IN FS2004.

| Streamlined panel for Grumman Goose G-21 |
|
File Description:
This panel streamlines the cockpit and virtual cockpit (VC) views in Lynn and Bill Lyons' Grumman Goose G-21 (cc9g21f2.zip). Why mess with perfection, you might ask? I like the Goose a lot: it's elegant, versatile, and has great views for VFR sightseeing. But on my system, the virtual cockpit's a bit sluggish. There's nothing wrong here with the airplane: it's just what happens when you try to run a complex piece of software on old hardware. Rather than give up, I decided to reduce the number of gauge objects, first in the cockpit (which I don't use very much anyway) and then in the virtual cockpit (which is where you should be flying this great old bird anyway). I also eliminated some of the hotspots. With fewer gauge objects, there are more system resources left over for the sim. The result, on my system, is smoother flying. While I was at it, I also replaced the magnetic compass with a VOR gauge. I know that's unrealistic, but that's what I did.
