FS2004 Scenery - Naval Submarine Base New London Groton CT. On the east bank of the Thames River near Groton, CT, New London Naval Submarine Base was the birthplace of the submarine force. It was originally a Navy yard, converted to a submarine base in 1916, and greatly expanded in World War II. The advent of nuclear power required an improvement in training and support facilities. By 1959, New London had become the largest submarine base in the world with 8,210 active personnel. The base was recommended for closure by the DoD in the 2005 BRAC Recommendations. heavily updated Concorde Sound Package. A realistic sound pack for the Olympus 593 engine. 3D sound cone technology has been used, you can hear the afterburners blasting from the behind Concorde. This will make your concorde come to life again. Uber realism with the spool up, start up, takeoff roars and afterburners from behind. Interior sounds have been carefully recorded and old videos have been used for realism. The Olympus engines are two spool engines, 38,050 lbs of thrust was delivered to push the Concorde to mach 2. File Description:
Welcome to Whenuapai Air Force Base. The base is situated north west of Auckland City, in Waitakari District, in the North Island of New Zealand. Whenuapai is home to several different R.N.Z.A.F. squadrons, with varying aircraft and helicopter types, including the Lockheed P3 Orion, Lockheed C130 Hercules, Iroquois and Seasprite helicopters. This scenery is designed and built to fit the "RealNZ Auckland City" photoreal scenery (payware) by Robin Corn. It will however, work fine in default FS9. The scenery contains some custom items, and also custom ground textures for all 4 seasons to replace the original RealNZ ground textures. The scenery was also designed to work with the newly updated RNZAF AI package, filename rnzafa11.zip, by Charl Du Toit. The AI package is freely available here on Avsim. Scenery also requires some EZ Scenery Object Sets (see INSTALL instructions for detsils).
