Ridge Soaring Gliderport (79N) is a public-use glider airport located two nautical miles (4 km) southwest of the central business district of Unionville, in Centre County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is privately owned by Knauff & Grove, Inc. Tom Knauff and Doris grove are among the whos who in American and International soaring community.
Portions of the 1999 movie The Thomas Crown Affair were filmed here.
Co-owner Thomas L. Knauff set five FAI world records, and over 50 NAA national records flying from this airport.
Co-owner Doris Grove set three FAI feminine world records flying from this airport, and was the first woman to fly a glider more than 1000 km.
This FBO airport is world famous for ridge, thermal and wave soaring. It is located on U.S. Route 220 (alternate) 8 miles south of Interstate 80, between Unionville and Julian, at the base of the Bald Eagle Mountain ridge. It is approximately 10 miles from State College and approximately midway between Altoona and Lock Haven in the Bald Eagle Valley. Visitors can look at an entire wall of U.S. National and World records that have been set from this airfield.
Sadly as with so many small airports, Ridge Soaring is in risk of disappearing. for sale for many years, with no takers it may be sold to developers and disappear forever.
In FSX the airport was on the wrong side of the highway and cut into a mountain, I moved it to its proper location and heading, made the runway the correct size and heading, and added all the current buildings.

FS2004 - (Glasgow)Prestwick International Airport.
This whole package is intended to compliment the comprehensive scenery for Scotland provided by the Scotflight Commercial Product, whilst at the same time being fully compatible with default scenery also.
This Fs2004 only compatible scenery gives highly detailed scenery for Prestwick Airport and it's immediate surrounds.
Prestwick Airport is a hub for the low-cost carrier Ryanair providing flights to many European destinations. Other holiday charter flights operate from the airport and there is a busy cargo terminal. Also adjacent to the airfield is the BAE Systems factory ( formerly Scottish Aviation) and extensive detailed scenery for this site is included.
The ground elements of the scenery are drawn with Lee Swordy's excellent Afcad program. The same file also adds AI traffic and accurately placed gates and parking spots. Included is the recently added FlightCentre, with AI traffic movements, the new Ryanair Service Hangar and new Business Park.
All added buildings are custom made, many with photo-texturing. The scenery has taxiway signs, active wigwags and full night lighting and a few static aircraft, discreetly placed.
A stretch of redrawn accurate coastline is included allowing the addition of the sandy beaches on the approach to Runway 13.
The two renowned championship golf courses of Royal Troon and Old Prestwick also feature on the seaward approach plus further golf courses in the towns of Prestwick and Ayr.
A local replacement road system covering the airport surrounds and the towns of Prestwick and Ayr is also included and this together with the replacement coastline should be compatible with any of the new Coastline and Roads products now available.

File Description:
Buckland is a village on a small river, around 45 miles east of Deering and 15 miles inland from the river mouth. Like Deering, the population of 420 live from fishing and the land. The airfield is close by and has a gravel runway aligned 10-24 and 3,300 feet long with VASI at both ends. Apart from the airfield itself, and it's buildings, this scenery modifies the local (mostly treeless) land class, adds village buildings while reducing the village size to reality, and creates a new airfield background. Bering Air flies into Buckland from Kotzebue and is included in the AI. A note here about my scenery making. This is post number 505 and there will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes. There is a limit to what can be located online and I have already been making use of the little there is; eg Unalakleet. So, if you are near an airport (preferably Canadian or Alaskan) and have a camera..... Let me know.

| Durban Island CWFB FOX-E DEW line station in Nunavut, Canada |

Durban Island is 40 miles north of Cape Dyer on the southeast corner of Baffin Island, and around 60 miles southeast of Qikiqtarjuaq (known as Broughton until recently). Sitting on the top of the island is FOX-E, an intermediate station that was part of the DEW line. There is no runway (and once you have seen the island you will know why) and the station and its (usually) five man crew were supported by helicopter flights from Cape Dyer. The main feature is a 300' high mast, topped by comms gear to link both to Broughton to the north and Cape Dyer to the south. There was only one really habitable building, 80' x 30' in round figures, and this contained the generators, technical spaces, sleeping areas, kitchen, mess, and showers etc. There were also what were known as Anderson shelters, originally put up to house the construction crew and used in the summer for any maintenance people who visited for short periods. There was also a garage for a snow cat and tanks for fuel. And a view.
This post also includes new bgls for Cape Dyer to provide the 300' tower there too.

Waihi Beach (ICAO: NZWV) is a small airstrip north of Tauranga and near the small beach settlement of the same name, in the Bay of Plenty of New Zealand. It is a grass strip with offset thresholds giving usable landing lengths of 640m and 517m for RWY 13 and 31 respectively, a width of 55m and a group rating of 5. No night lighting or fuel is available. A very basic airstrip, there is only one recently built hanger and the airstrip is slowly being encroached on by
new housing developments. The airstrip itself is usually very sodden due to its low elevation but is a nice stop over for sightseeing from Tauranga and up the Coromandel peninsula.
The FSX model includes custom textures and models placed on a high resolution aerial image and a 15m mesh. It makes extensive use of items from the free VLC object libraries which are required to be installed (Available from www.vectorlandclass.co.nz Downloads menu). This scenery and
the VLC libraries have been funded by sales of VectorLandClass and although you do not need VLC to use it, your purchase helps further development.

CYOD was made by John Stinstrom and you should download and install it first; there is also a "fix" for the apron lights textures. I am posting a modified AFCAD for CYOD with John's knowledge; this changes gates and atc identifications for the gates, so that with my version of the CYOD AI there are pairs of F18s taking off every 20 minutes or so. This means that the nearby Cold Lake Regional CEN5 works within the busy environment of flights to and from the nearby base. There is also a Hawker Hunter that drops in, and transport planes. The planes are listed so that you will know which are required to be downloaded. CEN5 may have "Regional" attached to its name, but there are now no scheduled flights and it is a peaceful and relaxed little airfield. There is fuel, and a little clubhouse building, and some hangars. There is ai for it here, using original FS9 planes so no downloads are required. Right hand circuits for runway 25 to stay as far away as possible from CYOD, and it is the CYOD tower that controls all flights in the area.

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 Flogger (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-23, with just over 5,000 built, was Russia's first production of a true multi-role aircraft with a beyond-visual-range air superiority role as its primary function. The aircraft was arguably the direct counterpart of the F-4 Phantom, although it carried about half of the ordnance load. Nevertheless, in capable hands and late versions, the Flogger has been and is a very potent adversary; having served in multiple conflicts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The MiG-23 entered service in 1970, was eventually operated by 43 countries, and is still in service in 14 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-23MLA, MiG-23MLD, and a what-if had the MiG-23-98 been put in serial production; with 20 models and 82 repaints. Convair F-102A Delta Dagger. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for the second of the Century Series fighter aircraft, one of the backbones of Air Defense Command and Air National Guard squadrons from the mid-1950s to mid-1970s. The "Deuce" first flew in 1953, and 1,000 of these aircraft served as strategic interceptors during the height of the Cold War. Late examples served until 1979, over twenty years after its introduction; and many were expended as target drones on live fire ranges. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world.
This package is a complete representation of the F-102 through its entire career, in the service of the USAF as well as NASA, and the Hellenic and Turkish Air Forces. Models included are F-102A/TF-102A with both Case X and Case XX wings, and the PQM-102 manned and un-manned drones, with a total of 10 models and 164 repaints, to include over 70 individual squadron schemes. This version of Chesterfield Inlet corrects the VASI position on the runway, and also updates the taxiway edge lights to a newer and smaller version which is more realistically sized. This is a complete version and does not require you to have installed the old version. There is new AI, which is for Arviat, Whale Cove, and Chesterfield Inlet; this enlarges on and replaces the version posted with Whale Cove so use this one. The First Air and Calm Air flights also visit Rankin Inlet (made by Sid) and the GA flights originate in Rankin Inlet. There is a revised Rankin Inlet bgl so that the planes are allowed to use the gates. Chesterfield Inlet is a small village on the west coast of Hudson Bay, with a population of 340 or so. It is the oldest community in Nunavut and was established around a Hudson Bay Company post in 1911. It is 55 miles north of Rankin Inlet (Sid and Pete's post). The airfield is close to the village and has a gravel runway 3,600 feet long aligned 124T/304T (true, not magnetic).
