From June 1943 to August 1945, the 560th, 561st, 562nd and 563rd Bombardment Squadrons of the 388th Bombardment Group with B-17's, flew 331 missions (including 19 Aphrodite missions from Fersfeld) losing 179 B-17s. On 6 September 1943, the 388th lost 11 B-17's on a mission to Stuttgart including all the aircraft of the 563rd BS. The airfield was not used again and sold off in 1957.
This add-on is not compatible with VFR scenery. Sorry for that.
Included in the download is an AI traffic BGL file that makes this base come to life. To get this file working, you must have the Wings of Power Heavy Bombers and Jets add on installed. You must also have downloaded the two repaint set for the B-17 done by my friend Chuck Lawsen. This last file can be found here at Avsim, it�s called: wop_388_b17.zip This project is as always dedicated to all the brave young men that contributed to the effort of getting Europe out of the claws of a dark, perhaps the darkest period in modern history, but this time it is especially dedicated to 1st Lt. Ralph M. Reese, co-pilot 562nd Sqd., and of course all the brave men of the 388th.

| RAF Tempsford |

File Description:
RAF Tempsford was perhaps the most secret airfield in the Second World War. It was home to the Special Duties Squadrons, No. 138, which dropped Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents and their supplies into occupied Europe, and No. 161, which specialised in personnel delivery and retrieval by landing in occupied Europe. RAF Tempsford is very close to Little Gransden Airfield and can be clearly seen from flights climbing out from the westerly runway 28. Other active airfields nearby include the former RAF bases at Gransden Lodge and Bourn.
By 2002 part of the former Tempsford airfield was a concrete-making facility and some of the main airfield buildings had been turned into various commercial workshops. A nearby public footpath led to the end of a substantially intact runway and then on to Gibraltar Farm, the agents' final dispatch point.
This barn contains several plaques and memorials to the agents, both men and women, who were flown from the airfield, many of whom were later killed after being captured and tortured. A memorial is also to be found in St Peter's Church, in the nearby village of Tempsford, and the Tempsford Memorial is outside the church, commemorating the men and women who served as secret agents in occupied Europe during the Second World War and the RAF aircrew who transported them.

Close to the mountain Aninger we find a small but nice airfield, mostly used by VFR pilots from the closed City of Vienna.
We have also a Flight school including helicopter training on this Airfield.
This airfield is transfered, with kind permission from Mr. Gerhard Scholz, from his x-plane Version with ADE.

Roanne airport is located 50 nm west from Lyon, in France. It is a very busy place for general aviation, sailplanes and ultralights. Two daily passenger services are operated between Roanne and Paris-Orly. Located in a plain, but very close to mountain areas, it is a conveniant airport for a flight to or from Lyon, the Alps, Loire valley or the Auvergne.

Come and visit the area and maybe even try to soar over to Dyer (2Q9) on the Nevada border or try to see Mammoth Yosemite (KMMH) in a sailplane. The area will make for a good weekend of soaring fun.

The first Boeing 737-8Z9 to wear Austrian colors is OE-LNS. All Lauda Air 737-8Z9 are going to be repainted in the Austrian color scheme within the next months. I made this repaint according to the real aircraft. It's named 'Geschriebenstein' (it's mountain in Burgenland,it is 884 meters high). This repaint requires the payware PMDG 737-800 for FS2004.
