| McDonnell Douglas F-4M Phantom FGR.2, Royal Air Force |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
McDonnell Douglas F-4M Phantom FGR.2, Royal Air Force. This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set is what I originally envisioned when I undertook the modification of Nick Black's F-4E source files. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains models representing early and late use of this aircraft by the RAF. This package has 24 loadout variants and 48 repaints, plus a Photoshop paint kit. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.

| RAF Bottlesford - Lincolnshire, England |
|
File Description:
Royal Air Force Station Bottesford or more simply RAF Bottesford is a former Royal Air Force station located on the Leicestershire-Lincolnshire county border, 6.8 miles (10.9 km) north west of Grantham, Lincolnshire and 7.6 miles (12.2 km) south of Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire and about 107 miles (172 km) north-northwest of London, England.
Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force (RAF) and United States Army Air Forces (USAAF). During the war it was used primarily as a troop carrier airfield for paratroopers and as a bomber airfield before closing in 1948.
Today the remains of the airfield are located on private property with the technical site being used as an industrial estate.

| WASP PT-17 Stearman (N59293) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N59293, owned/operated by Andrew and Mike Porter, based at Spring Lake, New Jersey. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-25714 and was used continually from June 1942 until June 1945. During WWII the aircraft had multiple assignments, one of which included Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, home of the WASP (Women's Airforce Service Pilots), where it was based from February 1943 until August 1944. Sold surplus after the war, the aircraft was used as a crop duster in New Mexico all the way until 1981. Starting in 2006, the aircraft was restored to factory-original award-winning condition, and painted in the same markings it wore while stationed at Avenger Field, flying as a tribute to all of the WASP pilots. (In one of the aircraft's other WWII training assignments, Donald Strait flew this aircraft during flight training and would go on to become a double-ace flying P-51's with the 361st Fighter Squadron).

| VYMM Mawlamyine Intl Airport V2.0 with Traffic-Pack 2 |
|
File Description:
Mawlamyine International Airport in Burma, Myanmar, include Traffic-Pack 2. Traffic-Pack 1 comes with vyyy4tp1.zip. Traffic-Pack 3 comes soon too. This scenery was produced based of suppositions, stories and voices. It is therefore pure speculation. Whether this airport is ever increased, the God know. If the planned Asean-Highway leads at it past, this airport should gain importance very quickly. Version 2.0 with new docks, jetways, already extended runway, taxiways and new taxisigns. First of all we corrected the airport location to the real one. With Myanmar Air Force area, Helipads and even more parkings for civilian airplanes. You need mai321x.zip, mai738x.zip and mai744x.zip to use with this. Many Thanks go to Harald Nehring and Frank Weiss,
Robert Versluys, Mike Stone and the teams of HOUSE-RP in Burma, FSX Planner, SceneGenX, SBuilder X, Open Ports Scanner, AFXBgDownloader, FSUIPC, Google Earth and AI Flight Planner. This scenery is pure fiction and for FSX only, for FS2004 please download newVYMMfs9.zip and newVYMMup.zip. By HOUSE-RP, Switzerland and Burma

| Antonov AN-225 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This version of the AN-225 is almost too accurate, yet as easy to fly as the real "Dream" it was designed to be. Everything has been incorportated in this version in order to make this the best of the best AN-225 versions for FSX ever produced. This work required well over 50 flight test hours and thousands of dollars worth of research and skill. It's all free, and offered for educational use. Anyone who has flown the previous versions will see a huge improvement in all aspects now offered in this fully refurbished model, based entirely on modern design data and aerodynamic details offered only recently. This model includes all factual performance, weight/balance, and aerodynamic details, and realistic thrust points with high turn radius wheel design. This model is absolutely realist in ever aspect. | Whati CEM3 in the Northwest Territories, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Whati is a village at the southern end of Lac La Martre, a smaller lake (only by Canadian standards, at over 40 miles long) halfway between the Great Slave Lake and the Great Bear Lake and around 100 miles north of Yellowknife. The North West Company established a trading post there in 1793, and this was the centre for local trading in the area for 100 years until a post was opened by the Hudson Bay Company on the Great Slave Lake. The current population is in the region of 520. There is no graded road access and access is by boat or air. The main local economy revolves around hunting and fishing, with efforts being made to increase tourism amid the wilderness and the wildlife. The airfield is just over a mile east of the village, with a runway of around 3,400 feet of gravel aligned 09-27 as of 2010, with PAPI at both ends and lit. There are scheduled flights from Yellowknife by Air Tindi, included in the AI, and some GA. The terminal building is similar to that of Lutselk'e, but with a different colour scheme and with solar panels on the roof. It appears that they repaint the sign on the front of the building with a different wording every time; the one I have used is one of three that have existed in the last few years. The photos I had originally were taken in the winter, with snow. Seeing it in the summer I discovered that my version of the building is not at the right level above the ground by about a foot, or 30cm. I was too lazy to make it again, which was the only way to get it right and still have it throw a shadow on the ground. This scenery modifies the lake shore, corrects levels for land and lake, and adds the village and a connecting road in addition to the airport. A note here about my scenery making. There will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes, plus I expect to move on from FS9 at some point during next year.
