File Description:
Flightplan for the DHL-Air UK. DHL move his HUB at march 30th from Brussels to Leipzig. Leipzig are now the biggest HUB in Europe for a cargo based airline. Brussels still remains as a small local HUB like Stockholm, Bergamo, Nottingham/East Midlands and so on... With the first part of the DHL-flightplans comes the UK-division with 22 Boeing 757-200 converted sepcial freighters, diverted into old and new colors. Also included in this part 1 all needed paints for this plan. Old color, new color and both colors with white nose. All Paints were made with the new Paintkit from AIAardvark. To install the liverys please read the "install instructions" file inside this package. Many thanks to Josef Petric. He gives his blood in the last fiew weeks to create this plan, because it was very diffcult to get informations about the DHL-flights. Stay tuned. This is a DXT3 photoreal repaint of the Wilco A320 IAE Airbus that comes with the payware Wilco Airbus collection, Vol 1, Deluxe Edition.This repaint is based on the real life A320 IAE XL Airways Germany, registration number D-AXLA. Just XL Airways Germany and France still operating. Wilco Feelthere Vol 1, Deluxe Edition 320 IAE is necessary to use this Repaint. Livery works with FS9. THIS FILE IS ONLY ONE UPDATE. NEED THE BASE REPAINT (xl_airways_germany_daxla.zip). Hope you enjoy it.

This Aircraft crashed on 27.Nov.08 on a post-maintenance test flight into the Mediterranean Sea east of the French city of Perpignan, The aircraft was leased to XL Airways Germany by Air New Zealand, and had been repainted with Air New Zealand's livery in preparation for its return to Air New Zealand the following week.
I will be creating a new repaint for this aircraft in the future.****

| RAF Shepherds Grove - Suffolk, England |

File Description:
RAF Shepherds Grove is a former Royal Air Force station located 9.9 miles (15.9 km) north-east of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England.
The Station was originally built for the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Eighth Air Force during the Second World War. However the facility was not used by the USAAF and was opened by No. 3 Group RAF on 3 April 1944. The name came from a small copse nearby and the airfield is close to Walsham le Willows in Suffolk.
It was occupied by No. 196 Squadron RAF in January 1945 as a base for Operation Varsity, supporting the Rhine crossing.
Various American units occupied the station after WW2 but ended their use of the unit in December 1958.
On 22 July 1956, No. 82 Squadron RAF was activated at Shepherds Grove as a Thor missile unit. Thor launching sites were built on the main airfield and became operational in 1959.
The base was closed in 1966. Third party files are required - see the readme.txt for details.

| South China Sea Bases |

File Description:
This file contains five man-made bases with helipads which have been created in recent times by China, AND one man-made island airport with a large runway in the same area. The South China Sea is an area with disputed claims, with no natural land the UN has made several rulings. Many nations conduct what is called 'Right of Navigation' covered by the UNCLOS Part VII, which allows freedom of overflight and navigation. Also included is the Fuluo North East AB on Hainan Island. Note these are simple basic sceneries to allow flying around the area in FSX. There was nothing in FSX, and many dont have ICAO IDs assigned. These are not payware quality, however they were created with ADE. Thanks goes to them.

File Description:
This FSX Airport is more then just a AFX style Airport. As most know the Approach and Final (VMC) for AI Traffic in FSX is a straight in type landing and does not always consider high terrain at airports. This is due to the way that the coding is written in FSX and it puts limits on IFR arriving aircraft. At certain airports the AI Traffic will fly directly through a mountain once it is established on Final for a runway. What you will see with my files is a different type approach used for both the way I control AI and User Airplane Traffic in FSX. No longer do the AI Planes use a straight in approach when landing at LOWI. My AI Aircraft Approach coding for FSX uses a visual offset approach so AI Traffic does not fly through the mountains. The Innsbruck Control Tower will clear all AI Traffic (IFR FP) landing either on RWY 08 or 26 as a straight in landing even though the offset to final is 30 degrees from the runway center line. | Arctic Runway Signs in the "Northern Domestic Airspace", Canada |

These are scenery bgl's to replace those previously posted for Cape Dorset, Gjoa Haven, Igloolik, and Whale Cove. All of these airfields are within what is marked on the chart as "Northern Domestic Airspace" and their runway signage is not given as a magnetic bearing but as a true bearing. This is because at those latitudes, close to magnetic north, the magnetic field is more vertical than horizontal and magnetic readings become unreliable. Planes report their course as a true course, and fly at a height that reflects their true course instead of their magnetic course. The picture shows the runway sign for Qikiqtarjuaq CYVM (which used to be called Broughton Island) which I am working on right now, and I realised that my training was so far behind me that I had forgotten all of the above. The boundary line of the two air spaces is not a straight line; the furthest south it reaches is on the west coast of Hudson Bay just north of Churchill. To the east it passes through the southern end of Baffin Island, and to the west it is north of the coast at the Alaskan border, and there is an illustration included here.

This folder contains a repaint for the Douglas C-54 / DC-4 by Flight Replicas. It shows Douglas C-54A NL-302 of the Netherlands Government Air Transport, 1945. This was originally 42-72274 of the USAAF, which was bought by the Dutch Government in 1945 in a batch of 14 C-54's. These were converted to carry passengers. Although the aircraft were carrying military markings, they were in fact carrying passengers for KLM, among others to the Dutch East Indies. Since civilian aircraft were not always permitted to fly along this route immediately after the war they wore military paint. In 1947 all aircraft were transferred to the KLM and NL-302 became PH-TAD. It later flew with several European companies with registration F-BDRJ, before being scrapped in 1965. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Flight Replicas.

File Description:
Welcome to Galatea (ICAO: NZGA), a gateway to exploring the Urewera ranges and the east coast of New Zealand. Galatea is a small and basic airstrip with only one old hanger, a public toilet and a small clubhouse on a wide plain surrounded by native bush and pine plantation near Murupara in the Bay of Plenty of New Zealand. It is a grass strip of 1025m length and 60m width and aligned 01/19 with a group rating of 8. No night lighting or fuel is available.
The FSX model includes custom textures and models placed on an aerial image. It makes extensive use of items from the free VLC object libraries which are required to be installed (download from www.vectorlandclass.co.nz downloads menu). This scenery and the VLC libraries have been funded
by sales of VectorLandClass and although you do not need VLC to use it, your purchase helps further development.
To the south west of Murupara township and sawmill is the LakeLand Helicopters base which just fits onto the photo-real coverage. Library objects have been placed here although they may not be accurate as the site was not visited when taking reference photos. This airfield makes a great stop over when flying between Rotorua, Mount Tarawera, Whakatane or Gisborne.

Squamish is a town with a population of just under 20,000, located at the northern end of Howe Sound where the Squamish River reaches the sea. Howe Sound is 25 miles deep and around 10 miles northwest of downtown Vancouver. It was for years based on the surrounding timber and a pulp mill, but with the closure of the saw and pulp mills now is more tourist oriented and the escape for Vancouver residents looking for (relative) peace and quiet. The runway is 2,400 feet of asphalt aligned 14-32. The buildings are built on differing levels of terrain, and the taxiways are sloped access ramps between the levels. This, of course, cannot be replicated in FS9, but it explains what at first sight appears to be a strange layout. The buildings are fairly well replicated. This is not an airport, it is an airfield meant for summer use as there is no lighting of any sort for runway or taxiways. The AI includes both GA and the helicopter flights by the two companies with bases at Squamish, Black Tusk and Blackcomb, the latter having several bases in this area with a HQ in Whistler. If you have the Vancouver scenery by FSAddon then you will need to move some of their bgl's aside; there are screenshots so that you can see which ones I have relocated.
