| P13 San Carlos Apache Airport (Globe, Arizona) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
San Carlos Apache Airport is an airstrip 7 miles east of Globe, Arizona.
I made this because I have bean there and the default FSX scenery looks nothing like real world does!(of coarse not!), I did a colour match to the default scenery around the area to make it look good with default land class, I included a large area of photo scenery for the surrounding area to give the right "look and feel" as you approach the airport at low altitude!. Hope you like it?

| Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument/East, Escalante (1L7), Utah, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This scenery contains the eastern part of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. It extends from the town of Escalante down south where it connects with the Page/Lake Powell scenery. Contains the upper part of wonderful Escalante Canyon. To explore the scenery depart from Escalante Airport (1L7). Thanks to Joop Mak for providing a custom AFCAD that corrects the airport layout so that it matches with the photo-textures! High resolution versions of this scenery for FS9 and FSX (much sharper, but larger and multiple downloads) are available at www.blueskyscenery.com/CNY_South2West3.html . The screenies are taken from the high-res versions, so expect this version to be slightly more blurry. YourDonation@Work: Dedicated to Jay, Donald and Franz

| Watson Lake CYQH and CEJ9 in the Yukon Territories, Canada |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Watson Lake is at 2,200 feet asl on the east side of the Rockies, in the Yukon Territories. The town is less than five miles north of the border with BC and is built around Wye Lake, just a few miles southeast of the much larger Watson Lake. Whitehorse is some 200 miles to the west, and Fort Nelson 220 miles to the east. The airport was built during WW2 and there remains one surviving original hangar, along with later additions. Unusually, the town of Watson Lake came into being because of the airport's existence, though with the closure of one mine that the airport used to serve and the serial closure of another (closed four times?) both the airport and the town (population 500) are in a downward spiral. The airport is 5 miles to the west of the town. There were two runways, but one is now closed and the remaining one is 08-26, 5,500 feet and 150 feet wide. There are two aprons, the northern one being half-used by CL 415 fire-fighting planes (included in the AI, along with Central Mountain Air). All the buildings for CYQH are modeled specifically, but the CJE9 shed is a guess.

This folder contains a repaint for the MAAM-Sim B-25J 'briefing time', in the colors of N5-180 'Ada' of the 18th BS, Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force, Australia 1944. The aircraft took part in a few long distance reconaissance raids over Java. To give the people in the internment camps some support, the aircraft were equipped with extra large Dutch flags on the fuselage and below the wings. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.
