Paramount Air Airport JY04 , NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles N of Green Creek, New Jersey on 20 acres of land, Paramount Air Airport is a private turf strip 2000' in length, although about 300' of it at the end of Runway 32 isn't in the best shape. The runway is 100' wide but closely hedged in by trees along both sides for the length of the runway. A hangar is past the end of Runway 14 but no services are offered for transient aircraft. Still, you can choose to start parked at the hangar if you wish. There is no hard surfaced runway so having your terrain mesh set as high as possible is recommended. No windsock is present, so know your weather (KWWD is very close by) and the airport is unlit so daytime VFR operations only are recommended. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 005. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

New Outer Terrain Textures - Version 2

File Description:
A set of 26 textures for the Outer Terrain. This is a second 'beta' version of my new textures: transition and variation textures are provided for all 25 land textures, but water transitions are NOT yet included. Also included is a texture transition spreadsheet and artwork (as TarGA image files) for the 26 base textures.

A J Eisenberg Outer Terrain airport

File Description: Uncontrolled public airport for FU3 Outer Terrain. A J Eisenberg is at the north end of Whidbey Island, just outside the Seattle region. Paved runway, Unicom, AI traffic, ambient sounds et c. as usual. Includes instructions on where to place an optional VOR/DME and on how to improve detail in the surrounding terrain textures. Works best if used in conjunction with some freeware object libraries that are available in the library here. They're optional, and not included in this package, but the airport will be underpopulated without them.

FU3 Outer Terrain Tag File Information

File Description:
These Excel spreadsheets contain information about the contents of the outer terrain's 3 tag files: - outtaga.tag - outtagb.tag - outtagc.tag The file outer_tag_offsets.xls contains a complete list of the file offsets of each file within the three tag files, i.e. the starting position (as byte number) of the level 0, level 2, level 5 .geo files and corresponding gtl files within each tag file. The last three columns of each worksheet contain the relevant information: filename, file position, and file size. The file outer_tag_x&y.xls lists all the L0 .geo megatiles within each tag file and provides the position of each megatile within the OT region as an X and Y co-ordinate. Columns K, T, U and V provide the relevant information. These spreadsheets may be of use to anyone wishing to develop the outer terrain region.

New Outer Terrain Textures (Beta version)

File Description:
New outer terrain textures for FU3. Zip contents are as follows: GENTILES.TAG: 19 new textures, a total of 754 individual .tga files containing the base texture tiles, variation tiles and transition tiles. This is a BETA version and does not contain any water transitions. Copy and paste this file into your Flight3\gentiles folder. This file also includes 7 extra base textures: the intention is to expand the set at some point so that we have a full set of 26, the maximum number permitted by FU3. At the moment, no variation or transition tiles are provided for these 7 additional textures, and as no rules are provided for them they do not yet appear in the OT. RULES.TXT: a rules file for the 19 new textures. Even if you use the GTL tiles provided you MUST copy and paste this file into your \Flight3\gentiles folder as it also defines the texture types, rotation and mapping. GTLs.ZIP: 2460 GTL tiles as created by the new RULES.TXT file. Generating your own GTL tiles using the RULES.TXT file is likely to take an hour. You might prefer to copy and paste the GTL tiles provided into your \Flight3\outterr folder instead.

Replacement Landclass for Atlanta / Ultimate Terrain

File Description:
Landclass adjustment for the Atlanta metro area, primarily for use with Ultimate Terrain. This will change the majority of the "grid" urban and suburban tiles to "non-grid" versions, resulting in a much more realistic look around Atlanta, as most roads twist and turn in a seemingly random fashion. The core downtown / midtown areas are transparent to allow the original UT grid landclass to show through.
