Air Glaciers - HTAI Beech and Mike Cronin Pilatus

File Description:
This package lets you have a Beech holiday in the mountains. Air Glaciers operates Beechcraft King Airs from Sion to various destinations closer to the sea. They are frequent visitors to Corsica across to Krk (Rijeka) from their mountain lair. This package contains three Beech King Air repaints based on the Henry Tomkiewicz AI King Air 200 (4-blade, strakes) and, one they've got you to Sion there are three Pilatus Turbo Porters (based on the Mike Cronin low-poly PC6) to carry you onward into the mountains. The King Airs have accurate weekly flightplans (plus a few charters) and the Turbo Porters have very simple plans that service nearby airports. The effect at Sion is quite nice. If you want the Turbo Porters to service altiports you'll need to devise your own plans and find a way of landing AI on steep slopes! If you manage that, you can start on the choppers ... Now I'm going on the piste ... (aka having a beer ...). Enjoy!

RCAF Avro Arrow 416 Lynx Squadron

File Description:
Textures only. Avro Arrow in 416 Lynx Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force. Real plane, real livery, but fictional that this livery was on this plane, as the real plane was never addopted into service. Inspired by a repaint by Shane Strong (do a search for his repaints, some 190 quality paints!) on the Alphasim Voodoo, I undertook to replicate (nothing coppied from his work) the feel of that historic 'special' livery, on what the RCAF pilots SHOULD have been flying...the Arrow. If you don't know this plane, or it's history, you really ought to do a search and check out it's story. Amazing, powerful, speedy, had many technological firsts, and many more which were being designed but never completed (imagine for instance it's missiles, which were basically simple AMRAAM's in the 60's) Requires:Mike Stone's Avrow Arrow, get it at: http://www.pmstone.com/ or any of the usual big sites. Optional:"Version 2 Update" (edit/tweek, effects) by Bob Chicilo (got mine at Avsim).

At least that's how it appears in the case of a local bush pilot, Randy Morgan, who had quite a large one to tell. At 6 PM on the evening of the 16th, Randy and one passenger took off in a Cessna 182RG from Maloney's Tavern on his way back to Ketchikan. "The weather was good and I had no idea what was about to happen" said Randy Morgan. "We had planned our flight to pass over Raptor's Roost and Punchbowl Lake before heading into Ketchikan when I saw it." Eurocopter EC-505 Tiger, for FS2004 (INFO: FREEWARE - previewversion: limited detail and without virtual cockpit) TIGER HAP The Tiger HAP is an air-to-air combat and fire support medium-weight (6 tonnes) helicopter fitted with 2 MTR 390 engines. It is daytime and night combat capable and is operable in NBC environments. Three basic parameters were taken into account right from the start of the development phase: low (visual, radar and infrared) detectability, which provides excellent survivability on the battlefield, maximum efficiency of the weapons and the associated fire control systems without heavier workload for the crew, and an optimized logistic concept offering minimum possession costs. The Tiger HAP is fitted with a 30-mm gun turret; 68-mm submunition rockets, and air-to-air Mistral missiles. It also features a firing sight with 3 sensors: infrared, TV camera and direct optical channel. The complete avionics suite includes multi-purpose color displays and radar/laser warning receivers. LOU IV Texture for Baron 58

File Description:
Updated texure for my previous LOU IV texture. This texture is for the Beechcraft Baron 58 by Dreamfleet, a paint sceme copied from a P-51 Mustang. This scheme requires, that you have Dreamfleet's Baron 58 installed to Flight Simulator. The scheme was designed with the lite version, it is not tested with the Reality XP version. Copy the LOU IV2.bmp and LOU IV2_a.bmp into your FS9\DreamFleet\DreamManager\Paint Schemes folder and use Dreamfleet's Dreammanager to create a new aircraft variation. After this, copy the DFB58_PROPDISK.bmp to the texture folder (for example c:\FS9\Aircraft\DreamFleet Baron 58 Lite\texture.E2-C ). It is needed for the spinning prop. Without this, the spinning prop has two white stripers instead of the yellow tip. Changes from the previous texture: - Slightly darker colors, - white outlined E2-C letters, - yellow engine housing, - yellow prop spinners, - Black "Hamilton Standard propellers" with yellow tips - LOU IV emblem

Douglas DC-3 Santair

File Description:
Few people realize that Santa Monica Airport, where the venerable Douglas DC-3 first flew on 17th December 1935, was named after Santa Klaus and his wife Monica. The Man In Red was quick to spot the benefits of undertaking his yearly mission in a mode of transportation ideally suited to the task, and was one of Douglas' first customers. "Hallmark Cards and Thomas Kincade can keep their reindeer and chimneys", he declared. "I'm going with Pratt and Whitney. Fuel me up, elf". And so it is today. 70 years later, if you look up into the sky on Christmas Eve ... there's every chance you'll get hit in the eye by a plummeting box, should any of Monica's hand-sewn parachutes fail to open. Based on the default DC-3, with parachute present delivery effect adapted from the work of Pierino Primavesi. Also features Christmas lights on the cabin top. Merry Christmas to all!
