Aeroflot Russian Airlines Fleet Pack 4

File Description:
Aeroflot began in March 1923 as Dobrolet with a mixed fleet of De Havilland, Vickers, Junkers and other aircraft. Dobrolet merged into Dobroflot in 1929 and flew all services within Russia. By 1932 the airline was called Aeroflot. After the second world war international sevices began. At one stage Aeroflot had a massive fleet of over 7,500 aircraft although this fleet was pretty much ALL the civilian aircraft in the former Soviet Union. Aeroflot began the world's first sustained jet airline service using Tupolev Tu-104 'Camel' jets (developed from the Tu-16 'Badger' bomber) on an extensive internal route network from the summer of 1955. The Tu-104 saw service until the mid-1970s. After the breakup of the Soviet Union Aeroflot broke up into lots of smaller carriers and became known as Aerflot - Russian International Airlines. Aeroflot began using leased Boeing 767s and 737-400s alongside the older soviet types and with a revised livery. The Russian flag replaced the Red Flag. Contents of the packs include only textures. Aircraft model is by PAI and can be obtained at the associated sites. These packages support MRAI fightplans for WI04.

Nick's Prop Dust with Control Gauges

File Description:
Prop aircraft users are in for a real treat. This gauge/effects package automatically senses the terrain the aircraft is in contact with or flying over and changes the dust and water effects for the aircrafts prop/rotor wash based on dirt, dry mud or clay, snow, rain, water, ice, sand, gravel and short grass. In addition the real time surface conditions are also sensed. In example, a dry asphalt or concrete runway will produce no dust, however, the same runway with snow conditions present will automatically produce a throttle controlled snow blowing effect. The 25 included effects files and 5 gauges have been tuned to reflect a realistic representation of the dust/mist produced by different types of aircraft taking off or touching down on different terrains and surface conditions. The effects are properly influenced by cross wind conditions and reverse pitch is also supported. Effects files and gauges are included for large and small, single engine, multi-engine, amphibians, helicopters and massive scale military and commercial transports. It requires editing/adding lines in the aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg files. The README files include very complete and comprehensive instructions including a quick and easy copy/paste file for all the Microsoft prop aircraft and tutorial on making custom gauges from the ones provided. (Ski) York, Co-pilot: Lt. Robert G. Emmens, Navigator: Lt. Nolan A. Herndon, Bombardier: S/Sgt Theodore H. Laban, Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. David W. Pohl. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo.The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Texture, and Damage Files included.
