Aerostar S700 'Spirit of Kai Tak'

File Description:
The Aerostar Super 700 is the World's fastest piston twin aircraft. The "Spirit of Kai Tak" competed in and won the London to Sydney Air Race in March/April 2001. This FS2000 & FS2002 only computer model performs similar to the real aircraft and also has a custom cockpit panel which I have designed (thanks to Harald Scheidl for the Yoke gauge, which I have modified for the Aerostar Yoke). I designed the panel using CFG Edit and the aircraft using Abacus FS Design Studio Pro and Aircraft Animator. There are many animated parts, including a steerable nose wheel, spoilers and it also has an illuminating landing light beam. Also included is a very good Piper 350 engine sound package (Author Unknown).

St. Louis-Lambert LDA fix

File Description:
St. Louis-Lambert Int'l Airport LDA fix for LDA approaches to runways 12L and 30L. Microsoft put the LDA (Localizer Directional Aid) in the sim for this airport, but they are physically located on top of the regular ILS for these runways. In real life, the LDA transmitter is offset to the left of each runway. This file corrects that error.

D200160 Gxx.trn Files

File Description:
This Fly!2 upload contains four edited gxx.trn files which flatten the bodies of water in globe tile D200160. Globe tile D200160 includes Bradford (KBFD) to the northwest and Lockhaven (KLHV) to the southeast. The edited gxx.trn files flatten the W. Branch of the Susquehanna R., its branches, and other streams. Important: the globe tile was rendered with options set for subdivideDensity=8 and subdivideTolerance=500. Border areas were not edited to avoid compatibility problems with bordering globe tiles. The flattening is imperfect in spots and involves some compromises.

Red Arrows Display Team Gypo 4 (GMAX) start-up RAF Scampton

File Description:
This start-up situation replaces that uploaded with REDPACK7.ZIP (required) for those users who have downloaded John Young's latest version of RAF Scampton, scamp3.zip. Simply replace the existing files with those in this download. The situation remains identical but for a slight shift in geographical positioning of the runway.

'Red Arrows' Documents Update

File Description:
This is a small but important correction to the README files in the folder RED ARROWS DOCUMENTS shipped with REDPACK.ZIP, REDPACK4.ZIP and REDPACK7.ZIP. Sound guru Mike Hambly's files were included in the soundset REDPACK5.ZIP and he was not credited. He should have been, he is now, and apologies are due. Please drop these replacement README files into the relevant folder or, if you followed previous download instructions, simply unzip this zip file to your main FS2002 folder. By Mark Beaumont.

X-33 Venture Star and Launch Complex 1.0

File Description:
The Venture Star package includes the ship, launch complex for Edwards Air Force Base (example config file and instructions included), a satellite, animated tower, and five different scenarios. This ship utilises Vinka's Spacecraft.dll (also included) and has animating landing gear and cargo bay doors. Special thanks to Vinka for providing this excellent module, without which I wouldn't have even considered doing this ship.
