World Rally 2004 Douglas DC-3

This is a repaint of the FS2004/FS2002 MAAM-SIM Passenger DC-3 in a specially commissioned livery for the 2004 DC-3 World Rally, organized by the team at DC-3 Airways VA. Visit www.dc3airways.com for information about this exciting event, which runs from 15 October through 30 October 2004. Thereafter, you can keep this lovely lady as a souvenir of how well you flew! Island in the Sky Douglas C-47 Skytrain USAF 'Corsair'

File Description:
Based on original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set is a representation of the fictional USAF C-47 flown by John Wayne as Dooley in the 1953 classic film, "Island in the Sky". It is intended to complement an article written by Harold "Farmboyzim" Zimmer for the December 2007 issue of "Computer Pilot" magazine. Harold's review of "Island in the Sky" can be found at http://farmboyzimsflightsims.com/IslandintheSky_film_review.html. The texture set requires the base R4D-6/DC-3A package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org, together with two subsequent free C-47 enhancements to that product. Most gauges will work by simply copying these .cab files into the main gauges folder in FSX from their respective Simobject\airplanes folder. Simulated Aircraft Bubble Sextant Chart (addon)

File Description:
This is an add-on to the "dc3_bbsx.zip" Simulated Aircraft Bubble Sextant Gauge. While the simulated sextant determines the elevation to the star, it requires drawing lines of position on a chart to ascertain the latitude and longitude of the fix. The Global Navigation Charts (GNC) at scale 5,000,000:1 are suitable but not generally available for this purpose. This gauge simulates small sections of the proper chart, and automatically places the LOP from the sextant on the chart in the proper orientation. It includes installation and operating instructions, and an example flight description. Install the "dc3_bbsx.zip" first, if it hasn't been installed already.
