Cayman Airways latest addition to its fleet of aircraft a Boeing 737-800, arrived on Grand Cayman to much fanfare on Friday 2 December. All four of the airline’s aging 737-300 jets, which are between 15 and 20 years old, will be replaced with new “state of the art†aircraft over the next four years. The national flag carrier plans to retire the oldest of its current jets in June next year, meaning it will operate with an enlarged five plane fleet for the next six months. MEGA Maldives Airlines has introduced a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet as part of its fleet modernization drive.The aircraft is just over 4 years old with 12 business class seats and 156 economy class seats with the latest Boeing Sky interior and new extra fuel saving “split scimitar†winglets. It is part of an overall strategy for the airline to update and re-structure its fleet over the next year. The aircraft will support MEGA’s plans for increased connectivity between the Maldives and short to medium range markets. This includes India and Sri Lanka, with new routes starting within the 4th quarter. MEGA also plans to restart its Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah routes, although these routes will operate primarily on larger 767 aircraft in MEGA’s existing fleet. he new B737 aircraft is wet-leased from Czech operator Travel Services, but will fly in the MEGA Maldives Airlines colours and livery and MEGA Maldives cabin crew will service the flight onboard. This is the third time MEGA has wet-leased an aircraft from Travel Services. Furthermore, in support of the national drive to increase tourism, the aircraft also sports the “Maldives – sunny side of life†logo prominently. File Description:
The Pober Pixie was a light aircraft designed in the United States in the early 1970s and marketed for homebuilding. It was a conventional parasol-wing monoplane with fixed tailwheel undercarriage and a single-seat, open cockpit. In response to the 1973 oil crisis, the EAA launched "Project Econoplane" to develop an aircraft with high fuel economy that would therefore be affordable for its members to operate. The Pober Pixie was the result, with fuel consumption of 3 to 3.5 US Gal (11 to 13 L) per hour. Plans were completed in January 1974 and the prototype flew in late July, in time for the EAA Annual Convention that year. After the convention, the prototype was returned to the shop for minor improvement work, including installation of a Limbach SL 1700 EA engine (60 hp @ 3550 rpm) and Rehm 5330 two-blade fixed-pitch propeller. The improvements were incorporated into the plans.

Welcome to OSM Wold: South America! This is a vector data scenery package covering the South American area. Coastlines, Rivers, lakes, roads, railways, and power lines with detail never before seen! All in an autogen-compatible density! You can see roundabouts, train terminals, harbor areas in a resolution of a point every 10 meters. At this same resolution a vectorial city class places residential (in small and big building variations, depending on surface area) and industrial areas exactly where they are supposed to be. This gives the city areas a resolution far superior to the capacity of FS-2004 default landclass bitmaps, limited to approximately 1 Km x 1 Km squares. OSM World: South America will even give you small roads leading to small towns (even a few houses across)! From big highway intersections, including ramps, to the tiniest rural pathways covering the entire South american area! Wherever in South America you fly, there is something to see!
You can enjoy this scenery near coastlines too! harbor areas and extremely detailed coastal topology (try the southern Chile). This scenery makes sure that the ocean is always flat, you can forget about the climbing water often found around photo-sceneries! This scenery is best paired with a good set of terrain meshes (like the freeware global SRTM mesh by Stephen Rothlisberger , available here: http://simviation.com/1/fs2004terrainmesh).
