In the late 1930s with a new war on the horizon, extra airfields were again needed to accommodate an expansion of the RAF. Former First World War stations were surveyed for suitability, and an area just to the west of the original Elsham site was deemed to be better suited. work began in the winter of 1939-1940, and the station opened with the arrival in July 1941 of 103 Squadron. The station was equipped with a main runway 2,000 yards (1,829 m) long, and two subsidiaries of 1,600 yards (1,463 m) and 1,400 yards (1,280 m). Three hangars (two T-2's and one J-Type) and 27 aircraft hardstands (later increased to 36) were built. Three more T-2 hangars were built in 1944. Accommodation for around 2,500 personnel was dispersed in the nearby farmland.
No. 103 is credited with more operational sorties than any other 1 Group squadron, and consequently suffered the group's highest losses. Of the 248 bombers lost on operations flying from Elsham Wolds, 198 were from No. 103 Squadron. By type, losses were 28 Vickers Wellingtons, 12 Halifaxes and 208 Lancasters. One Elsham Wolds Lancaster, Lancaster III ED888 M2 (Mike Squared)[3] which served with both Nos. 103 and 576, held the Bomber Command record for operational sorties, having completed 140 between May 1943 and December 1944.[4] A total of 974 operational hours. | Kugaaruk CYBB and DEW Pelly Bay CWPB in Nunavut, Canada |

Kugaaruk is on the coast of northern mainland Canada on the Boothia Peninsula, 60 miles into a deep north-south fjord-like inlet called Pelly Bay. The name was changed from Pelly Bay in 1999, and the population is around 800. Gjoa Haven is 150 miles to the west, and Hall Beach just over 200 miles to the east. Six miles south of the village, and connected by a gravel road, there is a NWS station and what remains of a DEW Auxiliary Site; the DEW site was closed in 1992, a year after the NWS station became operational. There is also a 3,350 feet long gravel runway beside Barrow Lake 2 miles east of the site, Pelly Bay CWPB. Kugaaruk airfield is adjacent to the village and the 5,000 feet of 100 feet wide gravel runway is aligned 049T/229T where T stands for "true" as opposed to magnetic. There are flights by First Air and Canadian North and the AI includes a daily flight of each from Yellowknife via Gjoa Haven (as per real life) plus a cargo visit by Buffalo. Although the runway is long enough to accomodate a 737 it is not licensed for regular scheduled jet flights; the reason for this is that the approach lighting is "inadequate". Included here is a new .bgl for Gjoa Haven which will remove the small hold short line from the gravel; my mistake.

| St Andre-Avellin CAA2 in Quebec Canada |

File Description:
St Andre-Avellin is a new airfield in Quebec Canada, 35 miles east of Ottawa and 10 miles north of the Ottawa River, and just northwest of the village of the same name. There is a 03/21 grass runway that is 2,870 feet long and slopes up towards the north. To show this slope I have not "placed" a grass runway (which would immediately flatten the slope) and anway there is not so much traffic that the grass would be notably marked. Because of the lack of an FS-recognised runway I have not made parking or a traffic file as AI would not work; anyway this airfield with constant activity would not reflect reality. There are no facilities at the airfield except a hangar for the owner and space to park.

This skyscraper was once the seat of the Communist party of former Yugoslavia. The building was heavily
damaged in NATO bombings in 1999. After the NATO aggresion the remains of the building were sold to a
private company which reconstructed the whole site and now rents the office space to serbian,american and EU
companies. This building was also a target of the unsucssesfull attack back in 1967, when Nikola Kavaja
hijacked a Boeing 737 on O'Hare Intl. in Chicago and tryed to swap it for Boeing 747 with intents to crash
the aircraft in this building and "kill dictator Tito".
He was prevented from doing this by US Police officers.
A skyscraper with some history! Enjoy!

This is an AFCAD2 fille for athens eleftherios venizelos international airport. It adds 88 parking gates ramps etc. in order to allow more airlines to use more parking space so the sirport to be crowded with aircraft trying to match reality.
Accurate gate numbering.Information used from many friends like which airline parks at which gate ramp etc, has been considered and the gates assigned accordingly.Parking have been checked not to overlap with nearby aircraft. e.g. Not to overlap wings when parked next to each other.I have included an powerpoint presentation more like an airport layout in order to explain the structure of this particular AFCAD file,Night lightning has also been adjusted to the new ramps and gates thanx to the AFCAD 2 program and the new airport will look very nice.

What a race... when The Battle of the Airlines Trophy organization announced the upcoming race "Mission Moon" back in December 2002 the community of flightsimmers was astonished.... going to the Moon with MS FlightSimulator was just not possible.... or was it?
After a frantic race made up of 8 stages it became clear: it was possible. Starting in February 2003, for two months the 1500 pilots had to find their way that took them from the far north to the far south on the American continents. Not only did they have to fight their competitors but also short runways, failing aircraft, suicidal flightplans and most of all: RaceRunner Ray. But the reward was worth the hardship when they entered space and made it to the Moon and back!

EDTD - Dunsfold Park Industrial Estate (formerly Dunsfold Aerodrome) for FS9 default scenery. Dunsfold is visible as you make you turn onto final approach course for runway 08R at London Gatwick. It is a private airfield, landing by prior permission only and not an airport of entry. As such, this is not intended for the user, or AI, to fly to, merely a visual reference point on the Gatwick approach. There is a space for the parked B747 and some token GA spaces if you'd like to send AI here anyway. Old runways, taxiways, ramps and indication of building positions are shown but positioning is very approximate. Users of photoreal VFR scenery do not need this file. Famous (in the UK) as BBC Top Gear's test track. Visual approach procedure only, no ILS.
