Tel Aviv Lod Airport Scenery 1961

File Description:
Lod Airport, now called Ben Gurion International Airport started out in 1936 as Lydda Airport, an airstrip of four concrete runways on the outskirts of the Arab town of Lydda. By the mid-1960s, 14 international airlines were landing at Lod Airport. I have backdated Lod airport back to 1961, when it was much smaller than today. Lod was and is Tel Aviv's major airport, used for all airline flights in 1961, and most international flights today. I have used GMAX to create the terminal and many of the hangars and other buildings at the airport, and have also used many library objects to increase the detail around the airport. Landclass files are included to reduce the city area back to their sizes in the 1960's. I have also backdated 4 other airports: Eilath (LLET), Sde Dov (LLSD), Mahanaim (LLIB), and Beer Sheeba (Teyman LLBS). These use library objects to increase the airport detail as well. These cities constituted the entire route network of Arkia, the local airline of Israel, in 1961.

KCOS - Colorado Springs Memorial Scenery Update

File Description:
This is an update for the KCOS - Colorado Springs Memorial scenery by Jim Cook released on November 8th, 2008. It will change the scenery from "Maximum capacity" for the flyin, to "Maximum realism" for general use. Realistic Airline, Ga, and Military parking have been added, taxiway and apron configurations are the same as the first release. In honor of Shelly Johnson. May She rest in peace.

These textures are for the AI propliners by Classic AI Airliners group (http://www.calclassic.com/AIAircraft.htm) You will need Ttools utility by Lee Swordy to make these DC-3s display as static aircraft. LFRD2004 Dinard/St-Malo VFR Scenery

File Description: LFRD is a regional airport in Brittany, France. This scenery was created entirely with GMax and the latest Microsoft compilers. Everything was made to ensure maximum framerate while giving maximum visual impact, even on humbler machines. This scenery will run just as fast as the default one (which is very bare) with your current settings, even though there are literally thousands of houses, buildings, trees and a detailed airport. This is a complete package: -SRTM local mesh with custom coast trimming -Custom phototexture (200sq km), with seamless blending into FS9 standard landclass -Full autogen with custom local texture -Custom landclass and waterclass -AFCAD2 file with parking codes -Custom Hi-res photographic textures at airport. -Gmax buildings and xml librairy objects. It was made by a real life pilot and is totally aimed at recreating the feeling of being there, not so much on the ground (after all, this is a FLIGHT simulator), but at circuit altitudes. This is not about recreating an airport in all its glorious details at the cost of framerate, but instead an exercise in balancing visual cues and details as viewed from up there to make it 'as real as it gets' within the limits of FS9.
