Hong Kong Kai Tak 1963

File Description:
This is Kai Tak airport as it was in 1963. Kowloon Bay has yet to be filled in, and the runway is only 8405 ft long. Includes mesh files by Holger Sandmann and charts of the era scanned by Chic Eather. Navaids backdated to the early 60's, except the IGS for runway 13 is included although not actually installed until 1974. Curving approach lights will help you find the runway. Chek Lap Kok airport has been removed. The IGS and other approaches created by Jim Vile. The AI aircraft will follow the curved approach to runway 13 in good weather or bad. Please note that Jim Vile has produced a modern version of this airport (kaitak98.zip).

File Description:
AI Ships on Hong Kong Harbor. This enhancement is designed to compliment the 9Dragons version of the old Kai Tak Airport (VHHX). One of the World's busiest harbors will get even busier as this package adds a number of AI ships sailing near the airport and the dock areas, adding visual interest to the Harbor which is already well populated with static ships. You will see a beautiful Yacht, several container ships, a tramp steamer and the SS Ile de France Cruise ship - all arriving and/or departing the area. A properly installed 9Dragons Kai Tak scenery is required. Models used are by Phil Crowther and Mitsuya Hamaguchi (Hama). A few technical notes are included if you wish to experiment with adding AI ships to your own scenery. This enhancement is for FS2004 only. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the easy installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Active ILS, Hong Kong Kai Tak - VHHX Ver 1.1

File Description:
It has been brought to my attention that the IGS 13 Localizer is set to 111.95 in my original upload of the Active ILS, VHHX (Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport) for FSX. This is not the correct frequency. The correct frequency is 111.90. This update fixes that problem.

Active ILS, VHHX (Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport)

File Description:
This FSX Airport is more then just an enhanced style Airport. As most know the Approach and Final (VMC) for AI Traffic in FSX is a straight in type landing and does not always consider real world approaches. This is due to the way that the coding is written in FSX and it puts limits on IFR arriving aircraft. At certain airports the AI Traffic will fly directly through a mountain once it is established on Final for a runway. What you will see with my files is a different type approach used for both the way I control AI and User Airplane Traffic in FSX. My AI Aircraft Approach coding system for FSX uses a visual offset approach so AI Traffic does not fly through the mountains but flys the IGS/LDA 13 approach to the Checkerboard. Try your skill flying a Large Heavy Airplane vectored by ATC onto the approach course of the IGS/LDA 13 approach to Kai Tak. Read the text file for all the enhancements added to the FSX VHHX Airport along with a full understanding of how the new Approaches work *** Full set of Freeware Approach Charts included ***

Hong Kong International Airport (VHHH)

File Description:
AFCAD file for VHHH Hong Kong International Airport (Chek Lap Kok). More relaxed approach compared to the old Kai Tak checkerboard! Parking for 45 airliners at the terminal, properly labelled. Every passenger boarding ramp has an aircraft space available with the aircraft parked at the foot of the boarding ramp. Runway 07R/25L for takeoff, runway 07L/25R for landing.

Hong Kong Scenery - Series 2 (Shek Kong)

File Description:
Shek Kong (VHSK) is located somewhere near Yuen Long. Its geographical location is worse than Kai Tak, since Shek Kong is enclosed by 3 sides of mountains. The airfield is military but is open for VFR flights during weekends.
