(Spanish acronym: Aerovías del Continente Americano, formerly Aerovías Nacionales de Colombia) has been the national flag air carrier of Colombia since 1919, making it the second-oldest continuously running airline in the world behind Dutch based KLM. Likewise it is the largest airline in the country. Avianca was founded in Barranquilla, but its main operation base and headquarters are in Bogotá adjacent to El Dorado International Airport where it operates domestic flights and approximately 25 daily international scheduled and chartered flights to 20 cities in 13 countries in Europe, North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America, accounting for almost 50% of the total international operation at El Dorado Airport. Malta International Airport is the only airport in Malta and it serves the whole Maltese Archipelago. It is located between Luqa and Gudja. It occupies the location of the former RAF Luqa and was completely re-furbished, becoming fully operational on 25 March 1992. It is still referred to by locals as Luqa Airport, and sometimes as Valletta Airport internationally, as it is located 5 km (3.1 mi) southeast of the Maltese capital Valletta.

Cà Mau Airport (IATA: CAH, ICAO: VVCM) (Vietnamese: Sân bay Cà Mau) is a small airport in Cà Mau Province, the most southern part of Vietnam. The airport is currently served by Vietnam Aviation Service Company (VASCO) with flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport, SGN). As of April 2011, Vietnam Air Service Company operates two flights daily for Ho Chi Minh City-Cà Mau route with ATR-72 aircraft.

| Sioux Lookout CYXL in northern Ontario, Canada, updated |

This greatly modifies my previous post of Sioux Lookout; it is stand-alone and does not require you to have the 2009 version. The AI provided with the post complements what was included with Dryden (March 2013). Sioux Lookout is in northern Ontario, 40 miles east of Dryden, and 145 miles northwest of Thunder Bay. The town is on the northeastern shore of a lake that I don't know the name of (I've been there, but has anyone COUNTED how many lakes Canada has?). It has a population of around 5,000. The main businesses are lumber, tourism, and health care. The airport is immediately adjacent to the northeastern corner of the town, and has 5,300' of asphalt which is aligned 16-34. There are two taxiways which curve and climb up to the apron which is 20 or 30 feet higher. When you taxi on them the knowledge that in reality you would be climbing makes sense of the curved routing. The apron is large and a mixture of asphalt and gravel. I did not make the terminal building and I have no photo or even a recollection of what it looks like, so you should first install Northwest Ontario Airports by Eric O'Link as he has a terminal building for CYXL that might be how it looks; some of his airfields collide with other and newer versions and I have kept only his CYXL and CYPL bgl's.

| Smiths Falls CYSH near Ottawa in Ontario Canada |

File Description:
Smiths Falls airfield is four miles east of the town of Smiths Falls and some 30 miles southwest of Ottawa. In bad visiblity it can be found by following the multiple power lines that run east-west half a mile or a mile north of the airfield. There are 45 hangars on the airfield and I have run out of time for modelling the last ten; I will get to them, but later. All of the hangars in the front line visible from the runway have been newly modeled specifically for this, along with the radio shed, gas pump shed, odds-and-ends shed, flying club office, and the new clubhouse, making 40 buildings in all. The old clubhouse burnt down in the summer of 2006, and the concrete slab is still there beside the car park. The new building cannot be anything other than an improvement.

Emsdale is on Hwy 11 about midway between North Bay and Lake Simcoe. A mile north of the town is Emsdale airfield CNA4, with two grass runways that are 12/30 2,500 feet long, and 17/35 2,000 feet long. There is only one hangar, no fuel, and in general there does not appear to be a lot of action. "Grass" may be a generous description of the runway surface, particularly for 12/30.
The second field is two miles southwest of Emsdale and privately owned. It has 2,700 feet or so of asphalt runway and a parallel grass runway (which is short at under 800 feet, plus a hangar at the north end!). There are six buildings, between hangars and office or club house and that about sums up all I know about it. If anyone knows more about this field please let me know.

| Herb's Field C417 near Ottawa in Ontario, Canada |

Herb's is on the 417 between Ottawa and Montreal at the junction with highway 34, which is south of Hawkesbury. Herb's is a truckstop and a repair garage and a restaurant and a gas station, and is still (but only just!) an airfield. Which is to say there is still a runway, some 1,200 feet long and 30 feet wide. Do not go in your Cessna 172 as only the northern half is usable, and that after inspection from the air for any obstacles, parked cars, dogs, and similar obstacles. The southern half is the way in for trucks and cars, so make sure you can stop well before the ex-hangar which is now for truck repairs only. The planes all belonged to Herb's father, and even a casual inspection will reveal that they haven't moved for some time. If there is anything using the service road immediately to the north of the runway go around again, you won't be able to clear a vehicle and then land on the threshold.

| Ontario Small Fields in Canada: #02 Harrow CGL2 |

File Description:
This is the second in a series of small airfields in southern Ontario, Canada. It is Harrow CGL2, a field near a small town of the same name close to Lake Erie. The airfield has a grass runway of 3,000 feet, with short displaced thresholds (400 feet) at each end; the south due to the trees and the north due to a road and fence. The electric cable strung along this road (unlike Leamington, with it's warning visibility spheres) is buried for a short stretch the width of the runway, but avoid the poles. The intention is that downloaders will add further posts to the earlier ones, which will avoid unnecessary texture duplication (for instance for parked cars or planes) and avoid adding yet another small field to the FS9 scenery library. The third airfield will probably be Essex CNE9, a grass field to the west of Harrow.
