Isles of Scilly Skybus Summer 2004

File Description:
Flight plans for use with Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004 AI traffic. They are based on the company's Summer 2004 timetable which is published on their web site and in publicity booklets. Their scheduled services operate between various mainland airports and the Scilly Isles. Aircraft in the fleet consist of BN2 Islanders based at St Just (Lands End), and DHC-6 Twin Otters based at Newquay (St Mawgan). All of the schedules are accurate, except for the unknown timings of balancing flights.

File Description:
This is my first attempt at making any kind of scenery for Flight Simulator. I live in Boston and love getting up into the White Mountains both in Summer and in Winter, so I decided to use my ultimate power of MSFS Eminent Domain and evicted the owners of this small private field right in the heart of the Presidential Range in order to create a fictionalized Pilot's home. It's nothing fancy, but it is a nice base for VFR flights throughout the region. We don't have the drastic vertical topography as many other places around the world here in New England, but I guarantee you that we have some of the prettiest, especially in the fall. Coffs Harbour (YSCH), NSW, Australia

File Description:
Coffs Harbour Regional Airport (YSCH) FS2004 ******************************************** Coffs Harbour airport, located roughly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane on the East coast of Australia, is owned and operated by Coffs Harbour Council. They took over the airport in the early nineties and after a massive expansion plan including widening the runway to handle jets up to a Boeing 767 and building a new terminal at a cost of $4 million dollars. This terminal was opened in November 2000 and should handle the expanding traffic for the next 10 years. At present over 200,000 passengers pass through the terminal. The scenery re-creates the entire airport for FS2004 including the new terminal, old terminal, all of the ga hangars, flying school, airport tower and many more structures. All modelling was carried out using textures from photographs taken on site to ensure an authentic result. In addition the harbour at Coffs Harbour has been modelled as well as Mutton Bird Island that was missing completely in the default. To conserve frame rates the harbour has not been fully detailed but is accurate in placement and looks realistic on an approach to runway 21. AFCAD file and traffic tools file is included to populate the airport with additional AI traffic. Also contains three sample flights, which can be selected from the flight simulator select flight menu.

Vintage Props & Jets

File Description:
This file contains flight plans for use with Flight Simulator 2002 or 2004 AI traffic. They are based on the company's Summer 2004 timetable which is published on their web site at http://www.vpj.com/ . Their scheduled services operate between various Florida airports and the Bahamas. I don't know too much about the airline, but it appears that their fleet is neither "vintage" nor "jet" and apparently consists of four thirty-year old Beech King Air 100s (almost vintage!) and a Beech 1900C, along with three Piper Chieftans and Navajos. The Pipers operate charters throughout southern USA and the Caribbean. I've created some optional imaginary flight plans for these, too.
