This is a new AFCAD for the default KCLT - Charlotte Douglas International Airport. It adds additional gates for US Airways express (9), the South Carolina Air National Guard, the cargo ramp. Also included is a new perimeter fence and VEHICLE road, and a landclass to clean up stray autogen buildings not belonging near the airport.

The airfield was put into operation in 1958 in duty of the NVA (National People's Army). It accommodated the FAG-15 with Mig-21U aircraft.
