Flight Simulator First Officer V2 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Flight Simulator First Officer is a generic virtual copilot that can be used with any aircraft. The primary function of FSFO is to assist the Pilot In Command (PIC) to fly the aircraft safely while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is accomplished via virtual checklist and sharing of cockpit duties/responsibilities. Specifically, the First Officer reads the following configurable checklist: - Pre-Flight - Before Start - After Start - Before Takeoff - In-Range - After Landing - Shutdown After reading the checklist item, the Copilot will wait to ensure you (i.e. the pilot) have configured the aircraft correctly before proceeding to the next item. Also, the Virtual copilot is capable of performing the following actions: 1. Call Vspeeds based on your input 2. Raise/Lower the Landing Gear on Takeoff/Landing 3. Retract the Flaps 4. Extend the Flaps 5. Manage the taxi/landing/strobe lights 6. Tune the ILS frequencies 7. Call Climb Power based on your input 8. Reset Vertical Speed when the Aircraft is within 1000 ft of the programmed altitude 9. IAS warning (e.g. Aircraft is above 250 IAS while below 10000 ft) 10. GS Warnings (e.g. Aircraft is above 25 knots while taxing) 11. Resets the altimeter to standards when passing TA 12. Engage Heading Hold on Takeoff 13. Engage Altitude Hold on Takeoff 14. Reset Speed on Takeoff 15. Engage Speed Hold on Takeoff 16. Engages Rev Thrust on Landing 17. Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS) 18. Over Speed Warning 19. Stall Warning 20. Bank Angle Warning 21. Vref monitoring 22. Set AutoBrakes 23. Loads Fuel/Payload 24. Random Payload/Pax generator 25. Plus much more! PIK2004 Download

File Description:
FS2004 - (Glasgow)Prestwick International Airport. This whole package is intended to compliment the comprehensive scenery for Scotland provided by the Scotflight Commercial Product, whilst at the same time being fully compatible with default scenery also. This Fs2004 only compatible scenery gives highly detailed scenery for Prestwick Airport and it's immediate surrounds. Prestwick Airport is a hub for the low-cost carrier Ryanair providing flights to many European destinations. Other holiday charter flights operate from the airport and there is a busy cargo terminal. Also adjacent to the airfield is the BAE Systems factory ( formerly Scottish Aviation) and extensive detailed scenery for this site is included. The ground elements of the scenery are drawn with Lee Swordy's excellent Afcad program. The same file also adds AI traffic and accurately placed gates and parking spots. Included is the recently added FlightCentre, with AI traffic movements, the new Ryanair Service Hangar and new Business Park. All added buildings are custom made, many with photo-texturing. The scenery has taxiway signs, active wigwags and full night lighting and a few static aircraft, discreetly placed. A stretch of redrawn accurate coastline is included allowing the addition of the sandy beaches on the approach to Runway 13. The two renowned championship golf courses of Royal Troon and Old Prestwick also feature on the seaward approach plus further golf courses in the towns of Prestwick and Ayr. A local replacement road system covering the airport surrounds and the towns of Prestwick and Ayr is also included and this together with the replacement coastline should be compatible with any of the new Coastline and Roads products now available.

File Description:

Jazeera Airways is a low-fare airline with its head office on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport in Al Farwaniyah Governorate, Kuwait. It operates scheduled services to the Middle East and Europe. Its main base is Kuwait International Airport. The airline has grown since its launch to become Kuwait's second national airline and has been dynamic in popularizing low-cost carriers in the Middle East. Jazeera Airways is one of the largest operators at Kuwait airport, having handled a quarter of all aircraft movements and passengers at the airport during July 2009. According to the July 2009 report issued by Kuwait Directorate General for Civil Aviation's, Jazeera Airways had the largest number of aircraft movement in the month with 1834 take-offs and landings, overpassing the second largest carrier in aircraft movement by 4%.

Invermere CAA8 in British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This airfield is in the Columbia Mountains (which are part of the Rockies) on the border between BC and Alberta. Invermere is in the same valley as Golden, 65 miles south and midway between Golden and Cranbrook. The town is at the northern end of Lake Windermere, on the western side, with a population of around 3,400. The main touristic feature of Invermere appears to be the provision of a wide choice of golf courses. These are included in the scenery, as are some of the surrounding commercial buildings including a nearby hotel and retail units. Invermere CAA8 is half a mile northeast of the lake, and is home to the non-profit Canadian Rockies Soaring Club that trains pilots during the summer months. The Invermere Soaring Centre, a separate organisation, provides glider towing services and rides for the general public. During the summer the airfield can only be described as busy, with gliders taking advantage of the terrain for ridge soaring. The AI here includes gliders that will take off and then circle around north of the field. The take off is not a realistic glider style launch, and the wind should be from the north; these gliders do not taxi and then turn around at the far end of a runway too well. Once again, like Golden, there is no runway or taxiway lighting, so daylight use only. There are GA visitors to CAA8 between the gliders, presumably carrying golfers and clubs. Due to the surrounding terrain AI aircraft might impact high ground before landing and then just show up on their parking spot.

Golden CYGE in British Columbia, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This airfield is in one of the north-south valleys in the Columbia Mountains (which are part of the Rockies) on the border between BC and Alberta. The town of Golden (population just under 4,000) grew along with the Canadian Pacific Railway and the logging industry, both of which are still the mainstays of the town. Tourism is a more recent development along with the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, which is only 3 miles to the west of the town. There are occasional flights into CYGE related to the richer echelon of tourist groups for Kicking Horse, particularly at the weekends; three actual such flights are included in the AI. Golden CYGE is immediately to the west of the town beside the Columbia River, with the 4,500 feet of asphalt runway aligned 14-32; right hand circuits for 32. There are no runway lights or landing aids, and no taxiway lights, so this airfield is for daylight use only. There is a helicopter company based on the field (Alpine) and a volunteer search and rescue group, a skydiving operation at the northern end, plus an active club with a long open hangar with a club room. A friendly airfield. The AI helicopter was included in my post of Alma CYTF. The Beaver will not show up unless you have the Aerosoft Beaver installed. I found the other planes without a problem on flightsim or avsim. Due to the surrounding terrain AI aircraft will usually impact high ground before landing and then just show up on their parking spots. A northern wind improves but does not totally solve this.

Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress #43-97976 "A Bit o' Lace" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the accu-sim version of the A2A B-17G Flying Fortress. It represents #42-97976 "A Bit o' Lace", which was assigned to the 709th BS /447th BG. The nose art consisted of a cartoon by Milton Caniff. The co-pilot was Lt. John Bauman, a fraternity brother of Milton Caniff. He sent Caniff a detailed idea of the proposed artwork and the sketch was returned with Caniff's annotation: "A Bit-O-Lace for Lt. John H. Bauman, and the rest of the gang, with my best wishes - Milton Caniff NY, Oct. 1944". Nicholas Fingelly, an artist attached to the 709th BS, carried out the work and completed the painting in about six hours and gave Milton Caniff full credit for his his character. Her first crew flew 35 missions over Europe with no injuries, although returning with a good many holes, at times. The closest call was when a piece of shrapnel came up through Navigator's table and "Ike" Eisenhart's arms, but missed him. A surprise souvenir for Ike, which he still has. She flew more missions with different crews, until the april 4, 1945 flight. From the navigator, John Kirkwood: "Right over Kiel, and seconds before the bomb release, I heard the co-pilot say that "This airplane feels funny." Seconds later the tail gunner, who had regained his power of speech, blurted out something to the effect that part of "The tail was gone." A flak shell had gone right through the left horizontal tail, leaving only a partial surface, and completely removing the left elevator. We dropped out of the formation, and tried to drop the bombs, but the electrical system failed. We flew north a minute or so, the plane now in the hands of the pilot. The pilot did not want to drop over Denmark, so we turned out over sea, and dropped via screwdriver. Actually, we were over Schleswig-Holstein, according to my position, but it was close, and Tom did not want to chance killing danes. We flew on, at a reduced speed, far out to sea on a west-south-west course with occasional ETA's to the pilot. Several fighters joined us, and finally we got back to the base, and the runway was cleared for us. A decision had to be made by the pilot: To jump or ride her in.. Tom decided that he could land the plane, so we all congregated to the radio room, and that was that. I might add that none of us had any desire to jump. Most of the photos of 976 were taken after repairs, hence the dark colored rudder and left elevator. As you know, the color prior to the damage was silver. 976 flew one or two missions after that, but I never saw her again, other than in a color photo of the moth-balled fleet in Arizona." Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by A2A.

P-51D G-SIJJ "Jumpin'Jacques" Download

File Description:
"Jumpin Jacques" is a P-51D-20-NA model, built at North American’s Inglewood facility in California. Accepted by the USAAF on December 21 1944 as 44-72035, she was assigned to the 332nd fighter group in the Mediterranean Theatre of operations. The 332nd became very famous as the first all Afro American manned Group known as "The Tuskegee Airmen" although references to them at the time refer to them as "The Red Tails". She entered combat with the 15th Air force around March 1945 serving out the last few months of the war on escort and ground attack sweeps over Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. She still carries the battle scars to this day, with bullet repairs in several places on the fuselage. After the war, she was repatriated to the US and served with several ANG units. She was released from active duty in 1953 and in 1956 sold to Whitman Enterprises, CA, who registered her as N5411V. She remained in the Us until 1981, when she was sold to Colombia. In 1989, she was bought by Jacques Bourret of Aero Retro, based in St.Rambert, France, with the registration F-AZMU. When looking for a colour scheme for the P-5, Jacques came upon the photo of a Mustang named "Jumpin’ Jacques" and could not resist adopting this as the new scheme. The original "Jumpin’ Jacques" was flown by Lt Jacques E Young of the 3rd Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Commando Group, a unit that operated out of the Philippines. At present, she is with the Hangar11 group of North Weald, UK, flying with the registration G-SIJJ. She has been repainted completely in early 2007, and it is this paintscheme that is depicted with this repaint. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters P-51D Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.
