B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2297, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane #14. Pilot: Maj. John A. Hilger, Co-Pilot: Lt. Jack A. Sims, Navigator/ Bombardier: Lt. James H. Macia, Flight Engineer: S/Sgt. Jacob Eierman, Gunner: S/Sgt: Edwin V. Bain. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Enjoy!

The Airbus A380 is a doubledecker, four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. It first flew on April 27, 2005 from Toulouse, France. Commercial flights should begin in 2006 after 15 months of testing. During much of ist development, the aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX. The A380 is now the largest passenger airliner, topping the Boeing 747, which was the largest for 35 years. However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft. The media has termed the A380 a "superjumbo", with some comparing it to Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose. The first A380 prototype was unveiled during a ceremony in Toulouse, France, on January 18, 2005. Its manufacturer's serial number is 001, and is registered as F-WWOW. The new Airbus will initially be sold in two versions: the A380-800, carrying 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or up to 800 passengers in a single-class economy configuration. Expected range for the -800 model is 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km). The second model, the A380-800F dedicated freighter, will carry 150 tons of cargo 5,600 miles (10,400 km). Airbus made the cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics similar to those of other Airbus aircraft to reduce crew training costs. | B-24 USAAF 489th BG "Sharon D" |

File Description:
This Ford-built B-24H was assigned to Lt Col Leon Vance, deputy commander of the 489th BG. It was Vance who had brought the aircraft from the US to Halesworth. The bomber was named after its pilot’s infant daughter Sharon, who had been born in 1942. Lt Col Vance was flying a different aircraft on the 5 June 1944 mission against a German coastal defence complex near Wimereaux, France-a mission in which the latter aircraft was lost, and for which Vance was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was the only B-24 crew member in the Eighth Air Force accorded this distinction whilst flying a mission from the UK. Vance was heading home to recover from combat wounds when he went down on a C-54 Skymaster carrying wounded and crippled veterans over the North Atlantic on 26 July 1944. In October 1946, at the age of four, Sharon Vance travelled via US Army Air Forces transport to Enid, Oklahoma (now home of Vance Air Force Base), for a ceremony in which Maj Gen James P Hodges gave her the Medal of Honor awarded to her father. Today, daughter Sharon Kiernan of San Diego, California, is an Air Force wife, and she helps to keep alive the memory of her father, and of the bomber named after her. The Sharon D retained its nickname throughout the war, and was eventually transferred to the 445th BG. It survived the conflict, and was eventually broken up for scrap.

I am proud to present to you my new realistic and accurate (And probably the most realistic and accurate) Boeing 757 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 sound pack for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and X. This is intended for use on Project Opensky's models, but should work decent on other freeware and payware 757s in FS. The interior sounds are from a passenger perspective (As if you were in first class). Once you load your aircraft with these sounds, you'll hear the APU System in the cabin. You hear the famous RB211 whistle sound at idle after you have started the engines. You spool up the engines at takeoff and then hear the buzzsaw-like sound of the RB211 engine's fans at full throttle. As you throttle down for climb power the buzzsaw intensifies like on a real plane! Pretty much every engine sound in this sound pack has been recorded from a real RB211-535E4 engine! Once you lift off and put up the landing gear, you will hear a chime from the cabin. It features realistic cockpit sounds like the autopilot deactivation siren, stall clicker, overspeed siren, gear up warning sound buzzer, flaps, rattles and bumps with tire-roll on takeoff/landing, and rattles on touch-down. I am sure that if you are a frequent Boeing 757 aircraft flyer, or if you're a pilot or flight crew on board a RB211-powered 757 aircraft, that you will be very impressed by these sounds! Give this sound pack a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

This folder contains a repaint for the Spitfire Mk.IX by FlyingIron, in the colors of Spitfire IX MK392 JE-J of Wing Commander J.E. 'Johnnie' Johnson, No 144 Wing, based in Ford and B3 St Croix sur Mer, June-July 1944. He was the highest scoring Spitfire pilot of WW2, with 34 individual victories over enemy aircraft, as well as seven shared victories, three shared probable, 10 damaged, three shared damaged and one destroyed on the ground. Johnson flew 700 operational sorties and engaged enemy aircraft on 57 occasions. Included in his list of individual victories were 14 Messerschmitt Bf 109s and 20 Focke-Wulf Fw 190s destroyed making him the most successful RAF ace against the Fw 190. This score made him the highest scoring Western Allied fighter ace against the German Luftwaffe. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

This is an X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 10 scenery package for Santa Maria Airport (IATA: RIA, ICAO: SBSM), which is the airport serving Santa Maria, Brazil. It is operated by the Brazilian Air Force. Some of its facilities are shared with the Santa Maria Air Force Base of the Brazilian Air Force. It includes corrected aprons, ramps, gates, taxiways, lighting system, city buildings, ortho-photoscenery for the airfield area, and (XP11 only) airport ground services (like push back). This scenery was tested and is operational (as of May 23, 2017) in "X-Plane 11.01 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. It was also tested and is also operational (as of May 23, 2017) in "X-Plane 10.51 64 bit", Windows 10 Home. Only the default X-Plane 11 libraries, by Laminar Research, are needed. No third party libraries are used.
