Australian Lighthouses - Part 2 - New South Wales Download

File Description:
Around Australia's coastline there are over 350 lighthouses. I received a suggestion a month ago asking if I would do the locations of the lighthouses down the coast of New South Wales and when I did a bit of research I thought, why not do the whole 36,735 kilometres around Australia? The first chapter - the lighthouses that dot the Queensland coast, from the tip of Cape York to the border at Coolangatta, was released on February 4th. Here is Part 2 - the lighthouses located down the coast of New South Wales. A Read Me file is included and only default Flight Simulator 2004 objects are used.

I received a suggestion a month ago asking if I would do the locations of the lighthouses down the coast of New South Wales and when I did a bit of research I thought, why not do the whole 36,735 kilometres around Australia? Here is Part 4 - the lighthouses located around the coastline of the island State of Tasmania. Some installations no longer exist but I included them for those of us who like historical and period flying. If it was there in 1935, it's there in this package! A Read Me is included. No third-party items are required.

Curtiss Helldiver Italian Air Force Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Aerplane Heaven Curtiss Helldiver in the colors of S2C-5 MM4693 86-42 of the 86 Gruppo Antisom of the Italian Air Force, based in Grottaglie, 1952. Italy’s experience with the Helldiver was brief but interesting. In 1950, when the first post-WWII formal rearmament plan was put forward, the Italian navy identified as a priority obtaining a surplus American light aircraft carrier, with appropriate air wing. A team was sent to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi TX, where two pilots trained and qualified on the Helldiver, later practicing carrier operations aboard USS Midway (CV-41) where four more pilots earned US Navy carrier wings. In September 1952, two surplus Helldivers were presented to the Italian navy as a gift by the USA. The two planes were delivered to Naples, Italy. Unfortunately for the Italian navy, there was still a Mussolini-era law on the books called Legge 1000 Kilo (law of a thousand kilograms) which mandated that only the Italian air force could fly planes over 2,200 lbs weight. As the result of a bizarre inter-services lawsuit, the navy was forced to abandon plans for both it’s aircraft carrier wish and the Helldivers. A total of forty-six Helldivers were eventually transferred to the Italian air force (the two former navy planes plus a further forty-four). The Italian air force assigned them to the 86th Autonomous Antisubmarine Group at Grottaglie air base, where they flew ASW missions with depth charges. The Helldiver was not popular with the Italians…as an anecdotal example, they were housed in a disused WWII-era blimp hangar. They were viewed as obsolete and too difficult to master pilots on. The crews were also not keen on flying a single-engine type on long overwater patrols. The Italian planes were only in frontline service for about one year. In 1953, they were replaced by PV-2 Harpoons and (later) S-2 Trackers, which were much more suitable to long-range ASW missions. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

Whati CEM3 in the Northwest Territories, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Whati is a village at the southern end of Lac La Martre, a smaller lake (only by Canadian standards, at over 40 miles long) halfway between the Great Slave Lake and the Great Bear Lake and around 100 miles north of Yellowknife. The North West Company established a trading post there in 1793, and this was the centre for local trading in the area for 100 years until a post was opened by the Hudson Bay Company on the Great Slave Lake. The current population is in the region of 520. There is no graded road access and access is by boat or air. The main local economy revolves around hunting and fishing, with efforts being made to increase tourism amid the wilderness and the wildlife. The airfield is just over a mile east of the village, with a runway of around 3,400 feet of gravel aligned 09-27 as of 2010, with PAPI at both ends and lit. There are scheduled flights from Yellowknife by Air Tindi, included in the AI, and some GA. The terminal building is similar to that of Lutselk'e, but with a different colour scheme and with solar panels on the roof. It appears that they repaint the sign on the front of the building with a different wording every time; the one I have used is one of three that have existed in the last few years. The photos I had originally were taken in the winter, with snow. Seeing it in the summer I discovered that my version of the building is not at the right level above the ground by about a foot, or 30cm. I was too lazy to make it again, which was the only way to get it right and still have it throw a shadow on the ground. This scenery modifies the lake shore, corrects levels for land and lake, and adds the village and a connecting road in addition to the airport. A note here about my scenery making. There will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes, plus I expect to move on from FS9 at some point during next year.

Flight dynamics Douglas DC-3 V7.0 Download

File Description:
This Corrected Aircraft.cfg VERSION.7 dated OCTOBER 13th, 2003 Features the Following.... 1. The DC-3 will now not level itself out on a coordinated turn (This was the biggest issue and is now fixed) 2. Flaps now have a little more drag when used. (Will realistically slow down for landings and you wont roll down the runway so much) 3. Differential braking now has a little more power. (Will realistically allow for tighter turns during taxi) 4. The DC-3 itself now has a little more power. (Default version is underpowered and used up too much runway, and.. Default version cruise speed was a little low). 5. Corrected Manifold pressure from 47" to 48" full power (Default version had it slightly wrong) 6.Fuel is now down to 200 per tank (Default has version was a little over) 7. All control surfaces, ailerons, rudder and elevators now have delay (There is a certain lag time when flying a DC-3 and it now shows with these corrections which delays your input to the controls) 8. Elevator trim is now fixed (To much play in the default elevator trim , it is now fixed with less play and also has a delay/lag effect) 9. Rudder trim now with delay/lag 10. Aileron trim now with delay/lag 11. Fuel Flow is now fixed, the DC-3 will burn 90 GPH instead of the original 118 GPH 12. Increased power scalar very slightly for correct cruise airspeed 13. Manifold pressure will decrease 1" MAP per 1,000 feet after 2,000 feet Altitude 13.Exactly 140 kias on full tanks at 9,000' ASL 14. Added Strobe Lights to the wings 15. Adjusted steering (just a tad) for better taxiing 16.Prop (rpm) and Power (map) throttles interact correctly Took off some delay with ailerons and rudder Removed some drag and pitch up from the flaps Added more brake power to the differentials 17. Added a working NAV light to the Nose I have also added a corrected DC-3 reference sheet". In the zip there are two aircraft.cfg's.. one is modified if you are already using the add-on for special effects.

Heinkel He-111 Sonderkommando Blaich Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Heinkel He-111 P2 by Aeroplane Heaven, in the colors of the He 111-H6 of Sonderkommando Blaich, 1942. The Sonderkommando Blaich (English: Special detail Blaich) was a German special unit consisting of one Heinkel He 111 medium bomber that raided Free French–controlled Fort Lamy (present day N'Djamena) in the Chad region of French Equatorial Africa in January 1942. The raid against a target located 1,250 mi (2,010 km) from the German-Italian bases in North Africa was a success but, on its return flight, the German plane ran out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing; both crew and plane were rescued a week later. More on this raid here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonderkommando_Blaich. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.

FSX/P3D TWA 747-131 1976 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 747-131 in TWA 'Star Stream' colors. The freeware 747-200 'Ready For Pushback' - RFP is needed for this repaint. This is a repaint of TWA 747-131, delivered to TWA on February 23 1970 and flew for the carrier until September 1997. The actual aircraft, as mentioned above, was a 747-100, as RFP only has the 200 model, I used that model for the repaint. Also, I have used the FSX version of the RFP model that was converted from FS2004 to FSX by a dedicated simmer named Andiroto. A link for his conversion is provided. For the FS2004 users, the RFP 747-200 is available here on Avsim. The file is: "rfp_v2.zip". Textures are 32bit DDS. This repaint was tested FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Aviacsa Boeing 737-200 (XA-NAV) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Aviacsa, a Mexican airline serving destinations throughout the Republic of Mexico as well as in the United States, still operates a sizable fleet of six 737-200s. This is one of that fleet, registration XA-NAV. The history of this aircraft started far away from Mexico in New Zealand. It was delivered to Air New Zealand from Boeing in February 1986 as ZK-NAV. This aircraft was the first of the B737-200s Aviacsa acquired from ANZ. This aircraft was fitted with a hushkit until 2003; since then it is configured as you see it here.

This is a textures only package; you must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip). The textures in this repaint are 32-bit with no mips. NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.

Canadian North 'new livery' Boeing 737-275C (C-GOPW) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Canadian North has served the Northern Territories for over 75 years. It is a company 100% owned by aboriginals and provides service to all northerners including its 30,000 shareholders (Inuvialuit and Inuit of Nunavut). This particular Boeing 737-275C, painted in Canadian North's new "full polar livery", like several in their fleet, is actually a Combi model which can be configured to carry both passengers and cargo. This type of configurability and flexibility is necessary for the routes and destinations this airline flies. A splash screen is included in this package.

This is a textures only package; you must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip). The textures in this repaint are detailed 32-bit with no mips. NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.
