Tips and Tricks - 24 - The FINAL issue. Issue number 24 officially brings to an end the Tips and Tricks for FS2004 series. This issue is packed with some useful tips and how-to's, valuable web-site links and much, much more. The "From the E-mail bag" segment explores several ways to recover disk space and there is a special interview with a prolific author of FS scenery. You will also find a Bonus File which will make the startup of a reviewed aircraft considerably easier. Look for a special Holiday recommendation (for kids of all ages). I have even thrown in a bit of Aviation humor. An updated index for the entire series (by John Burford) is also included. Hopefully you will find something of use, be you a "newbie" or a long time simmer. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder. This is a texture-set made by Leen "Flybike" de Jager for the Ercoupe 415C made for X-Plane by Arno54 , Khamsin & Beber. Published and downloadable at XPFR.

Though this model was initially ment for low-end computers with X-Plane9 it happens to be a very nice model to be used with X-Plane10 as well.
Adding normalmapping to this model resulted in a bit more realistic looking little bird,wich is absolutely a thrill to fly.
No feet needed this time its a pedal-less plane.
How to implement?
If you do not have the plane already, download it from XPFR and install it first.
Unzip USA_Ercoupe.zip into a temp. folder.
Now you`ll find in this folder:
a map called "american125196"
a texture file named"ercoupe_EXT_nml.png"
a PDF file named "american125196_README FDF"
Start reading this PDF carefully!!

Latest Beta Release of this FS2004 Scenery Utility to manage objects and create scenery. Several major new functions in this release include A 'Fencing Tool' which can accurately place a line of fence or wall sections in your scenery - no more disjointed fences, Scenery Maker places them end to end with no gaps. Line Maker, a tool which can place a selection of objects along a multi segemented line in your scenery; with variable object spacing; variable object scale; and variable offset from the line. Can place streets of buildings, rows of trees, cars in the street or billboards on the roadside in one pass. A Fill Area Tool - can place a one thosand tree (or more) 'wood' with as many different tree species as you can find, with different tree scales in less than a minute. File Description:
Bernard Harbour was a DEW line "iStation" (a small station with a staff of 5 or 7 people) on the nothern mainland coast 75 miles north of Kugluktuk, and 45 miles west of Lady Franklin Point. It closed in 1963. The slowly deteriorating buildings are still there, along with a fallen radio communications mast. The runway is also still there and has 3,040 feet of gravel, aligned 122T/302T. There is now no runway lighting, no signage, no windsock, and the bushes growing amid the gravel are winning, though slowly. In 1991 a North Warning System (NWS) automated station was established 3 miles to the southwest and there is a second smaller runway there (1,450 feet) along with a helicopter pad. A road joins the two sites for when diesel resupply is undertaken from a ship in the summer, and the zigzag route is (in reality) dictated by the numerous ponds that are too small to be picked up by Ultimate Terrain.

| Weight Spreadsheet for PMDG 777X for use in PFPX [V2] |

File Description:
I've just spent a while trying to figure out a process to distribute weight in the same ratio received when setting the FMC Payload to MAX. This is a method I have worked out.
I use PFPX to get a random cargo load then my own math to create weights to input into the FMC. I've tried it several times with different weights and have everything matched.
OPENOFFICE is necessary to use this, because I don't own Microsoft yet and a OpenOffice-Version won't work correctly in Microsoft Office. I will do a Microsoft Office-Version later.

| LEDA Lleida-Alguaire Airport |

File Description:
Catalunya has a new airport. Barcelona is the main airport in the region, followed by Girona that is located very near to the Costa Brava, and that is not forgetting Reus, just a few kilometres from Tarragona. Lerida airport (Lleida in Spanish) has a strategic location in the north-east of the country and lies at the very base of the Spanish Pyrenees.
The Lleida-Alguaire airport is located 15 Km from Lleida town centre.
Includes a Landclass file
This is just a small scenery in order to fill a void, I am no expert or even talented to create the real terminal :)

This scenery is located about 30 minutes from Orcas Island to the northeast. It includes Landclass, AFCAD2 and FSE files. FSE is not required to enjoy this scenery but it provides enhancements.

This file corrects a issue with the Tri_Jet Panel - there is a extra engine start gauge laying on the ADF Radio :( Additionally there is a revised version of the Sgl_Jet panel that uses different engine info gauges (deals with an issue some users had with the panel but is not really a fix, just a different version of this panel). Also included are minor corrections to the position of the DME in the SglRecip and TwnRecip Panels (simply a alignment thing). You MUST have installed Purple Panel Project Black (v5) [PBPP_v5.zip] to use this file.

File Description:
The virtual airfield includes several buildings such as a hangar, a restaurant, a club house, military shelters, a playground and stationary cars. The surrounding area of Reichenbach has been populated with autogens: From the lake of Thoune down to Gemmi pass South of Kandersteg, and up until Adelboden to the West. Moreover, there is a high-voltage power line from Gemmi pass to the Gürbe valley, which should help during visual flight.
The scenery has been designed in Gmax and optimized for the mesh of Switzerland Professional. In order to save system performance, a series of LODS have been created.

I have created an easy to install program, of which is now a fully automated process! This package contains a professional panel by Greetmir Goodeguard; and a professional soundset provided by Steven Persson. Thank you for enjoying mine, and other peoples work. This is a freeware package for Euro Link members. Keep an eye out as more are yet to come from me :D
This is the final release which corrects a slight bug with the un-installer
