Qantas Empire Airways - Sydney to Hong Kong - 1949

File Description:
Desiring to expand air links with the Far East, Qantas Empire Airways (QEA) conducted a successful proving flight to Hong Kong in March 1949. Regular services commenced on the 26th of June 1949, utilising Douglas DC-4 aircraft that QANTAS had purchased from British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines (BCPA) when that airline took delivery of their new DC-6’s. Route was Sydney - Darwin - Labuan (Borneo) - Hong Kong. Please take time to read the included Word.doc file which provides additional information about the flight. This recreation uses Jens Kristensen’s DC-4 and Wayne Tudor’s QEA livery.

A Pair of Flights with the Christen Eagle

File Description:
Here's a pair of flights to practice your formation flying using Matthias Neusinger's flight recording addon for FS9. Get it here: http://www.neusinger.net/recorder The recorder enables you to record a flight and fly as "number two" in playback so that you can practice formation flying and aerobatics. Just unzip these files into your FS9 "Flights" directory and use the recorder's playback function. You can either fly along or simply enjoy the ride. You'd do best if you have the Lago "Emma Field" installed, if not, the take off and landing may be rough ;)

A330-200 Fuel Calculator V2.2

File Description:
V2.2 - Because of some errors in the previous version, Made some Changes, I suggest that it will now work correct. This is a Flight Planner (Fuel;Vr:V2) for Use with Airbus A330-200 P&W Engine Aircraft. A weather plan link to JEPPESSEN is also included. The Programm does not plans a route, it only calculates the needed Fuel and the V-speeds. You may have downloaded my first version (---A330-200 Flight Planner---.zip), also Downloadable here at Avsim.com), but this version will work more accurately now. Have FUN.

GOL Boeing 737-700 Special Alberto Santos-Dumont colours

File Description:
Special colours with 14 Bis, 100 years a first flight of the GOL 737-700 AI Aardvark boeing 737-700. Alberto Santos-Dumont was a important early pioneer of aviation, who was born in Brazil. The flight of the 14 Bis on 12 november 1906, is considered to be the first to take off, fly, and land without the use of catapults, high winds, launch rails, or other external assistance. This file contains only textures. The non-winglet 737-700 model is required. It can be found here on Avsim. Just search for aia_737.zip.

VFR Silk Route

File Description:
The historic (1st century BC up to the 15th century) Silk Routes followed several different (northern and southern) tracks, mainly between Istanbul, Turkey and Xi'An, China, the centre of the Chinese silk industry. The 46 VFR flight plans link the centre of the European silk industry, Lyon, France, to Xi'An, and back via a different route. Such historic routes deserve to be flown with a classic plane: the FS 2004 default Lockheed Vega! Download and install Winfried Orthmann's chinaairports_version_2.zip. In fact, a large part of the flight plans cannot be executed without his scenery.

The HA-PET is one of the various planes flown by Hungarian Peter Besenyei, a two time World Aerobatic Champion and participant of the Red Bull Air Race 2006. While Peter Besenyei uses the Extra 300S, the Velox Revolution II and the Zivko Edge 540X in the Air Race, he is doing Air Shows with the Extra 300L HA-PET, sponsored by the Austrian lemonade company Red Bull. KLGA TEC And Low Alt Routes

File Description:
KLGA FAA Preferred Low Altitude and TEC Routes Each of the flight plans included in this archive have been tested only with SB and FS2K2, although if you have all the updated data files for SB and FSNavigator, the should work fine in FS2K and FS98. I believe they will work with all versions of FSNavigor from 3.0 and up. You should be sure to select an aircraft from the FSNavigator Aircraft menu if you plan to use the FSNavigators FMS functions. Also be sure to set the proper altitudes for your direction of flight!

35RTWest Takeoff

File Description:
An FS2002 GPS flightPlan update for 35RTWest and is intended to be of help in the departure from Paro in that flight plan. Being a Wrinkly and having one of my senior moments I included the finals flight situation file with 35RTWest rather than as intended, the files in this zip. My apologies to those who as a result have been unable to leave Paro, my congratulations on those who succeeded on their first attempt (it took me a whole day of attempts before I worked out how to do it).
