With the proliferation of Flight Simulator add-ons which modify scenery texture files, it may occasionally be necessary to restore files originally installed by FS2004. “TexPand2” can be useful when you have a texture file problem and you wish a solution less drastic than re-installing the entire Flight Simulator package. Use this utility if you wish to install an add-on which requires the original files to be present, or if you wish to remove any texture, water, cloud, or night lighting add-on such as NuRoads©, Ultimate Terrain©, BirdsEyeView©, Flight Environment©, Silver Wings, or add-ons which have no “UNINSTALL” feature. SplashSpinner v1.0 – A Flight Simulator splash screen randomizer
This program will allow you to see a different splashscreen in Flight Simulator each time you load it. The program should work with ANY release of Microsoft® Flight Simulator that uses the splashscreen called “dlgsplash.bmp” located in the “uires” folder of the main Flight Simulator directory. Versions beyond FSX won’t automatically run the Flight Simulator program but if everything else is the same it should randomize the splash anyway. On first run, you'll pick what folder Flight Simulator is in. After that it will run, randomize and load Flight Simulator automatically. You can use this program as a shortcut for whichever version of Flight Simulator you have. You should also be able to use this same program on multiple versions. After install just copy the SplashSpinner folder to a new name and delete the SplashSpinner.config file.
The program may require Microsoft .net v1.11 or greater to be installed on your computer.

Everyone should install this file. Flight Simulator X terrain is defined in the terrain.cfg file. During testing, we have determined a certain number of modifications to this file that will correct some problems with the FS world and also provide more options for scenery designers. For example, in some places, water bodies display rocky areas - this file fixes that. Please read the detailed explanation that is included, and then install this modified file.

| 'Classic' Water Reflection |

File Description:
For those of you that miss the FS2002 water reflections, these are optimized sun and moon reflection textures for FS2004. The new files are a quarter the size of the original files, with no visual degradation (that I could see) and improved performance.
These should work with older video cards (non-DX9) as well and look great with either "High" or "Low" Water Effects enabled. They look particularly good when combined with the OceanFX 2 package (with OCEANSFX.ZIP and OCEANSTX.ZIP).

The Golden Eagles Squadron presents alternative sun and moon water reflection textures with lower waves and revised graphics. They add a dynamic quality to the fs2004 water as would be seen on a calm surface. Caution! These textures are only for DX8.1 compliant cards and will not work unless you can move the "Water Effects" to High in your display options and it stay there!
