FSDEM 1.1 Download

File Description:
FSDEM is a graphical tool designed to help on the editing and correction of NASA SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) terrain elevation meshes, and to create terrain mesh scenery to be used in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002/2004.

Program main features:

  • Can read SRTM-1 and SRTM-3 HGT file types.
  • Automatic reading of HGT files from ZIP files (as distributed by USGS), saving disk space. No need for external decompressors.
  • Can read binary raster files. Useful to import DEM data from 3rd party GIS applications.
  • Easy-to-build mosaic: just select the HGT source folder and the coordinates of the bounding rectangle, and the program will join the appropriate HGT files into a single working mesh, fully editable, on-screen.
  • Ability to load adjoining tiles for better interpolation results.
  • Graphical editing of elevation data: selective area filling, offseting, clipping, etc.
  • Interpolation capability for missing data (voids) - parametric Inverse Distance Weighted Average Interpolation.
  • Edit-enabled zoom modes.
  • Multi-level "undo" capability.
  • Ability to append overlapping bands to the output BGL (useful to avoid visual glitches caused by adjoining BGL areas).
  • Creates BGL files with a single click. No need to manually create an INF file. No need to use Microsoft Resample directly.
  • Support for user-supplied additional INF files.
  • Ability to export the terrain mesh to a binary raster file for further editing in 3rd party GIS tools.
  • Can save the terrain mesh to a BMP picture for reference.
This version fixes some bugs and adds minor improvements. See the included file history.htm for details.

VVCR Cam Ranh Airport Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Cam Ranh is currently a fast-growing beauty spot and tourist area on the Vietnamese coast. In May 2004, Cam Ranh airport (VVCR) opened to commercial traffic, initially only serving domestic traffic but international flights will commence in 2005. The airport was once a massive US Air Force base, but was later used as a base for Russion spy plane activities. This scenery adds this "missing" airport to Flight Simulator, but much is based around satellite views of the airport when the US were spying on the Russian base and other historical information and it may not accurately reflect the airport as it is today. Furthermore, my capabilities at scenery design are limited and restricted to scenery objects available through the Rwy12 scenery creation programme. You do NOT need to download and install the full 45 MB Rwy 12 Object Placer programme, which is for the designers and not the end user. Some of the scenery objects will appear without any extra downloads, but to get the greatest benefit from this scenery, you may optionally download following files, which should be installed according to the instructions within this download and not as described in their own download archive: Level 2 objects rwy12-lvl2.zip (Israel Roth and Seev Kahn/John Hinson), Level 3 objects jw_rwy12.zip (Shehryar Ansari), tl_rwy12.zip (Todd Lucas) , ford_transit_collection.zip (S Legg), hgrrwy12.zip (ESDG), and ga-hangers_lib_for_rwy12.zip (S Legg) Also included with this scenery are two EditVoicepack files which may be imported to that programme so that the controllers will be heard referring to "Cam Ranh". [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM] See also file vvcru11.zip.

ServInfo version 2.02 Download

File Description:
ServInfo is a utility that provides information for the on-line flying activity in the VATSIM, IVAO, FPI or any other network that uses the SquawkBox/ProController environment. Data are downloaded from the VATSIM, IVAO, FPI or any other network and are presented in a convenient format, allowing users to easily find out details about the current on-line activity worldwide and for specific countries, FIRs, ARTCCs or airports, including details for each flight and controllers ATIS messages. This information can be displayed in both tabular and graphical format on a map display. Additionally, ServInfo provides the possibility to display response times for all the network servers, display channel and user information for voice servers, retrieve and decode METAR & TAF reports for airports or whole regions and notify you when selected ATC positions open or close. A ServInfo gauge is also provided, that can be installed your FS2000/2002/2004 aircraft panels and display information about ATC availability while you fly online. Version 2.02 adds support for IVAO TeamSpeak voice servers, display of ATC bookings for all networks and display of VATSIM prefiled flight plans.

FSX Metal GUI Download

File Description:
I designed this for myself to darken the default User Interface for 2 reasons. I have bad eyes that are sensitive to bright objects on the screen, and I like to fly the simulator in the evening hours with the lights turned off in the room. I hope you like my end result. I also added 2 bonus features. Instead of hearing the Windows/Internet Explorer click sound when you mouse click on a menu item, you now will hear the "Fasten Seatbelts" sound effect. Be sure to back up the original sound "checkc" in case you find the new sound annoying. Secondly, I have included 4 optional Aircraft Viewer images that give the selected aircraft a more airborne look. I will make switching these simple by adding them to the Generic Mod Enabler(JSGME) that I will include in the download. The look is created using Diamond Plate and Polished Aluminum textures, and modifying the buttons with some more color. This is Freeware, and I am giving permission to anyone that wants to create their own and upload to any site they wish. I do not wish that you have to mention my name in any credits.

File Description:
In the default MFS2020 simulator, the Missouri River is raised some 300-400 feet higher than the surrounding terrain at the confluence with the Mississippi River near downtown St. Louis, Missouri westward almost to Kansas City, Missouri. This addon scenery file flattens the Missouri River from the confluence with the Mississippi River to a point 8-10 miles west of Hermann, Missouri
