| Adding the ATC DIGIT Gauge to your panel - an Illustrated Tutorial |

File Description:
Adding ATC DIGIT Gauge - An Illustrated Tutorial. Adding this little gauge to the panel of your aircraft will allow you to respond to ATC options with your mouse - a very useful alternative to using the keyboard numbers. This brief tutorial shows how to add the ATC DIGIT Gauge by Nick Pike to the default Cessna 172 panel. While this is used to demonstrate the method, the concept can be used on virtually any panel. Setups for the default Cessna 172 and B737-400 are included. No programming knowledge is required and this package includes all of the required files. The tutorial has been compiled in .doc and .pdf formats. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary location. | TCAS and Traffic Display Gauge V1.0 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This TCAS and Traffic Display Gauge Version 1.0 has been developed for the FSX Flight Simulator SP1/2. It should also work with Acceleration. The functionality for the TCAS part is based on general specs for commercial aircrafts. It does not provide in detail the function for a specific aircraft model. It is a generic gauge, and can be simply added to any aircraft as a standalone pop-up window.
In addition the gauge provides a AI traffic display in the ranges of 10,20, and 40 miles.
Within this display mode, no TCAS rules are valid, which means all AI aircraft are displayed independent of any altitude or distance.
For installation and functional description look at the doc inside the Zip.
CREDIT goes to:
Stefan Schneider for his support on special XML issues and TCAS functionality.
Bob Familton for his review of the documentation and testing for SP1 FSX.
Doug Dawson for his dsd-XML-sound interface in order to generate the sounds.

| VTOL/Hover gauge for Adam Preece' GR7 Harrier, V1.1 |
|
File Description:
If you use the previous version (RCBhcb10.zip): this version corrects a problem where the gauge gave problems when transitioning from hover to normal flight if you had loaded the aircraft in SpotPlane view. Plus some minor improvements.
See README for upgrade instructions.
This freeware gauge adds a whole new flightmodel and new VTOL & Hover featuresto Adam Preece' freeware Harrier.
Besides true vertical takeoff&landing, it allows you to fly forward, backward, sideways and turn, while in a hover.
This solution is based on overriding the normal FS flightdynamics while in a
hover, simular to the implementation of catapult launch / cable arrest in my
Carrier Operation Package; in short, it's a VTOL&Hover FDE coded in a gauge.
Special thanks to Doug Dawson, who created a gauge that provides for overriding FS2004 variables from an XML gauge.
Besides a VTOL controller, it also contains an effects controller plus visual
effects, for things like wingtip vortex, directional engine smoke and a cannon.
Requires FSUIPC (registered or unregistered).
The README includes extensive installation and flying instructions.
