P-61B BLACK WIDOW for x-plane 6.4/6.51
The need for a true night fighter aircraft was well demonstrated during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Aircraft used to counter German night attacks were not very effective. At the direction of the Air Corp's Carl A. Spaatz, John Northrop submitted a ground up night fighter design, which, designated as the XP-61, first flew on May 26, 1942. The Black Widow was the first aircraft designed from the ground up as a night fighter. Its innovative slotted flaps and spoiler ailerons allowed operation from short airstrips and improved handling; the radar carried in its nose made it the dominant force in the night skies of Europe and the South Pacific. From July 6, 1944, when it claimed its first victory, to war's end, the P-61 distinguished itself as one of America's most unique fighting machines. After the war, P-61s were used in reconnaissance, weather research, and flight testing. The first American flight ejections were made from a P-61.
Only four P-61 aircraft are known to exist today.

*** This is an updated version with fixes and instructions for locating some of the ai aircraft needed.***
Imeson Field, as it was also known, has been long closed down and replaced by the Jacksonville International airport (KJAX) in 1968. This scenery will bring back Imeson Field (and remove KJAX) to its glory days of the 1950s and 1960s with traffic files to match. Dan French has provided custom terminals, hangars and buildings for this project and Deltadart has provided many custom Military aircraft textures covering the many aircraft types employeed by the 159th FIS Forida Air National Guard during this period. This scenery is meant to work with the Calclassic retro environment by Tom Gibson and the Calclassic community.

File Description:
I did this Scenery to add P.A. Air National Guard traffic as well as some USAF traffic from the period this scenery covers. This is an Addon to the great "KPIT Pittsburg 1962" scenery by Mike Stevens, Nick Botamer, and Tom Gibson. With Tom Gibson's permission, this is the whole scenery. DeltaDart has provided Squadron Textures for most of the aircraft included in this scenery including the F-84F Thunderstreak, F-86L SabreDogs, and the F-102 Delta Dagger. Individual traffic files included for 1957. 1959 and 1962, all with various aircraft from each covered year. This scenery is meant to be used in the Calclassic environment by Tom Gibson and the Calclassic community.

New York Harbor cruise - passing by Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge - featuring the marvelous model of the Circle Line Ferry, created by Ron Jeffers. This package includes a custom Afcad - using the invisible runway and taxiway technique - and a flightplan which has the Ferry cruising around the harbor every 1/2 hour. Each cruise lasts approximately 30 minutes. This enhancement has been designed for use with the default FS2004 scenery. It has not been tested with Ultimate Terrain but may work in that environment if the Afcad is adjusted. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. Project Shamrock was created by René Bruun to produce 'Old School' Aerlingus repaints. I have painted many fine models by FFX/SGA/IFDG/POSKY etc but when you fly these you need to create a good environment for them. Download the Irish Scenery for Ireland from www.ifsd.ie - the best freeware Irish scenery available - the only Irish scenery available! Now, you need AI. I find the best AI are from AI-ARRDVARK www.ai-aardvark.com I have painted and included the full package for Boeing 737-300, 747-400, 767-300ER. Models, FDE, Paintkits used by AI Aardvark. All repainted by René Bruun
