| Palestinian Airlines 1998 AI Package |

Palestinian Airlines was the short-lived hopeful airline of Palestine. Until the opening of the Yasser Arafat International Airport on the Gaza Strip(GZA\LVGZ) in November 1998, all flights were based out of the Al Arish Airport(AAC\HEAR) in Egypt. As I find GZA more interesting, I have made a version of these plans that use GZA and a version that use AAC, as in the September OAG, all flights were using AAC. Scheduled flights were flown by a lone Fokker 50, with 3x weekly to AMM and 2x weekly to JED. The 727-200 was doing charters to cities in the region, so I made representative plans for it using photo data and some other information I was able to find out about the routes and even general timings. The 727-200 departs GZA/AAC at 0830 daily and spends the night upon arrival, so you can often catch it at the home base while still seeing it abroad. | Mikonos and Ikaria Island Airports |

File Description:
FS2002 Mikonos LGMK and Ikaria LGIK of the Aegean sea in Greece. Two typical summer holiday destinations in Hellas. The scenery represents Mikonos and Ikaria Island Regional Airports. Several objects like trucks, houses, stones, fences, and proper photorealistic textures have been used to make this airport as real as it gets and help the scale perception of the pilot. Special care has been taken for night lighting. Ikaria, a mountainous, thickly forested island, perpetuates the myth of Ikarus and his fall into the sea near its south shores after his bold attempt to reach the sun with his waxen wings. Mikonos in the center of Aegean sea, has been one of the best keeper of traditional Aegean architecture and is well known for it's popular golden sandy beaches and ecstatic nightlife. It is called "The island of winds" and indeed it is. Most frequent North winds have no physical barrier, all the way from Northern Greece, to weaken them and the constant seabed from there helps the increase of wind's speed by the time it reaches Mikonos. Beware of steep rising terrain and the wind gusts and downdrafts on short finals. Use this scenery preferably tohether with the free Greek Mesh Scenery by Babis Perivolas.

This package is a ficitional campaign with 28 single mission days. The tasks are typical for tactical air transport operations, containing low flying, day- and night ops, airdrops, medevacs... The mission package is designed for the IRIS Battlefield Airlifter (Payware) but may be used also with other aircraft. Here is the basic story: The Royal Airforce sent their new Alenia / Leonardo C-27 Spartan to the Caribbean Sea for the current Joint Transatlantic Exercise (JTAX). You are one of the selected pilots for this campaign. There are two atlantic crossing flights included but mostly short missions within theatre of operation. All locations used are default scenery. Eventually You have to adjust starting positions or waypoints if You are using special scenery within caribbean area. Content: Saved Flights for each mission (P3DV4 standard flights using IRIS Battlefield Airlifter with default liveries) Weather files for each mission (P3DV4 standard flights) P3D Flight plans (Default flight planner) Mission explanation and daily orders (PDF files) Addidional NAV-Logs for the atlantic flights (PDF files). Read the mission documents, load the flights at P3D and fly them as often as You want. The Campaigns use the following airports and locations: EGVN, GVSV, TKPK, MKJP, MKNG, MWCL, MWCB, MWCR, MUGM, MYIG, CYQX, Jamaica area, Cayman islands and Inagua / West Indies.

Here is a mighty PLAN fleet, capable of respectable force projection anywhere within the nine dash line and even beyond! I tried to find the Chinese Navy crest, similar to the one I used to represent my US Navy collection, but the only thing available anywhere is a depiction of the Peoples Liberation Army Navy flag.
These ships are currently assigned to the South Sea Fleet and so might be present at any of the events in the disputed South China Sea.
The LST YutingII/Type 072a Luhua Shan, pennant number 997, is the same type vessel that participated in the "near collision" with USS Cowpens recently. Now you can re-enact how a 18 knot transport was able to in any way interfere with the 32 knot Arleigh Burke class destroyer. Also in this fleet are two Houbei class missile boat catamarans, the Yuzhao class type 071 amphibious transport dock Changbai Shan, Luyang II/Lanzhou class type 052C destroyer DDG-171 Haikou and the Jiangkai II class type 054A frigate Hengshui.
All ships have landable decks, animated effects and night lights, Haikou has an animated Z-9 helicopter escort.
The ships are intended for placement with AICarriers, by Lamont Clark.

LGKF Kefallinia Greece
The island of Kefalonia lies on the west coast of Greece. The nearest airports are LGZA Zakinthos, LGKR Kerkira, and LGPZ Preveza. During the tourist season the island is a very popular destination for flights from Frankfurt, Berlin, Gatwick, Rome and many others.
This scenery has been designed to sit on top of Yiannis Dermitzakis's file - grcoastlines.zip, available here on Avsim. I would also highly recommend Angelo Tassoglou's photoreal scenery called ionianislands.zip, also available here on Avsim.
The scenery has been created using real photographs where possible and has been repositioned in line with satellite imagery. It features many objects painted with Hellenic features and Mediterranean vegetation. It also includes animated flags, windsocks, vehicles, aircrew and road traffic around the airport. Full night lighting is included together with wash lighting of the apron and carparks. The scenery has been sub-divided so that each part can be switched on or off according to user preference. Traffic files are based on real schedules effective to 2013. The scenery has been designed for, and tested with FSXA only. Full installation instructions, settings, hints and tips are included.
Please enjoy and I hope you like my scenery as much as I enjoyed building it.

On third day of the festival from evening to midnight the entire sky of India is full of colorful fireworks. Its the most awesome night of the year to witness. Every single family in India celebrates Diwali with lights, fire-crackers and fire works.

Unfortunately, between the early 1990s and 1998, Nigeria Airways had drastically reduced it's European network, ending service to places like London and Amsterdam and disposing of most of the A310s and DC-10s. Flights to Dubai were now on a charter basis, with the DC-10 only doing a LOS-KAN-JED route once per week. The DC-10 also did maintenance in MIA, so I included a ferry flight there but it usually sits in Lagos unused. A single PW-powered A310-200 and a DC-10-30 were doing the longhaul flights while the A310s and several 737-200s were flying around Africa. There were 3 A310s stored; 2 in Lagos and one impounded in BRU(to become a cafe in 12/99) with none in flying conditions. I have them sitting idle in LOS as in real life, but since they were not in flying condition, they only do a touch and go landing once per week in the middle of the night. I will give them proper parking spots when I do the LOS ADEX eventually, but delete them if you wish. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. Repaints are in the Avsim library, filenames included. Northern Pacific Airways 757-200 with winglets (for the Rolls-Royce model). This livery was made before Northern Pacific Airways began operations and painted their first 757-200. The renders published by the company of the aircraft were used. The registrations, American flag and other markings were also added to the textures (which were not shown on the renders) using references from other US Airlines. Northern Pacific Airways is due to start operations by 2022 and will fly between East Asia and North America via Anchorage in Alaska with an initial fleet of 757s (of which N627NP will be the first). Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio (TDS). Features high-resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low-speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reverse with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more.
