| NEW Realistic HUD for the FSX F/A-18 Hornet |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
A realistic head-up display (HUD) for the FSX Acceleration F/A-18 Hornet. The HUD is an enhanced version of the original HUD for the F/A-18 by Scott Printz. The original functionality Scott built into it is preserved, and the following new features are added: 1) Precise ILS and TACAN navigation for aircraft carriers (including moving carriers) that allow carrier landings in low visibility and at night. 2) The HUD symbology is conformal to the outside world: The horizon bar stays on the horizon, velocity vector shows actual flight path as read against the outside world (if you keep your vector pointed at a certain spot on the runway, this is exactly where you will land). 3) Caged mode with ghost vector for use in heavy side wind conditions. 4) Elements repositioned to make the HUD look as close as possible to the real Hornet HUD. | Working TACAN Beacons in the UK |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Working TACAN Beacons in the UK: In real-life TACAN beacons require a TACAN receiver to receive the course (OBS) information of the beacon. With a civil VOR/DME receiver you only receive the distance (DME) to the beacon. The problem in FS is that there are no dedicated TACAN gauges, so it's not possible to perform TACAN approaches, because this requires course information of the beacon. To overcome this problem i've modified the TACAN beacons in the UK so you can fully use them with civil receivers. And so are able to fly TACAN approaches. For charts how to fly the TACAN approaches see (procedure section) http://www.cenor.org/ (reupload) by Marcel Ritzema

| LinksAir McDonnell-Douglas MD-82 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Released as an open championship gift to flight-simmers who golf (whether on a real course, or in Links 2003), this file contains textures for the Jet City Aircraft payware, which you must have, to make them function. There are FS2002 and FS2004 versions of this payware, and the FS2004 version is known to work in FSX, with a proper FSX panel. The fictive tail number has been placed unobtrusively, and shows a sense of humor. LinksAir is another concept of mine fusing FS with a popular PC golf sim that is still going strong, 9 years after it first appeared. Plans call for operating a virtual European mini-tour, this September (details in the READ ME).

| Air Atlantis Boeing 737-200 'CS-TEU' |
|
File Description:
FS2002 Air Atlantis Boeing B737-200 with CS-TEU registration. It contains a very great panel and a super realistic sound set. The textures were made based on real photos from airliners.net. The Boeing 737-200 brings a new aircraft fully compatible with FS2002, created completely using Gmax. It features the latest reflection including dynamic shine, lighting, and animation technology including accurate flaps, landing gears, and thrust reversers and dynamic wing and engine views. This is a second release in a line of MD aircraft from FFX/SGA. A huge thanks to all these FS designers. Model by FlightFX/SGA, FDE from Sam Chin, panel from Helio Estrela, sounds by Daniel R. Careri and repaint by André Silva.
