| Chisasibi CSU2 in northern Quebec, Canada |

File Description:
Chisasibi is in northern Quebec on the east shore of James Bay, 60 miles from the corner of James Bay and Hudson Bay. Originally called Fort George and founded at the mouth of La Grande Riviere around the Hudson Bay trading post that was established in 1803, the town had to move 5 miles upstream in 1981 when the Quebec hydro project increased the flow rate of the river. The name was changed to Chisasibi at the time of the move (Chisasibi = Great River in Cree) and the population (750 as early as 1940) has now grown to around 2,000. There is a paved road east to Radisson that connects to the north-south James Bay road, which was built at the time of the hydro project work. The original Fort George airport runway is still visible but not usable, just south of the original town site. Chisasibi airport is to the west of the new town, and the gravel runway is 3,792 feet long and aligned 14/32, which is approximately parallel to the river. There is officially no fuel available, but there is JetA on site for Air Creebec in a tank protected by used fuel drums (filled with sand?). The terminal and the garage building are both relatively new; the terminal dates from 2002 and has unusual touches. There are two AI flights by Air Creebec each day plus other private planes.

This aircraft is the advanced upgrade from previous versions, and there are no more upgrades scheduled for the future. The paint is fictional, but illustrates what would be used for Charter flights by some airlines. Even in that case, I tried to make it as real as possible, as you will see. All authors credited other than myself are not involved with any of the engine or aerodynamic or detailed corrections. I even enhanced the parking data, callsign used, lighting effects, gear, MOI, weight & ballance, flaps and smoke for realism. There are no known issues with this model as it stands, and it is now possible to easily achieve FL510 and cruise over 8,000 nm, even with 16X simulation speed activated using auto-pilot. This perfection is based on real world aero/engine dynamic data and formulas employed within the aircraft.cfg and .air files. Flight Tuning is no longer used in this model. There is no other FSX Gulfstream G-550 available anywhere (Free or Payware) that includes all of this realism, and if there is in the future, it was copied from this data. Don't be fooled. I don't expect any world-wide awards or the "Nobel FS Prize" for any of this, but your comments related to the results will be appreciated, and acknowledged. Please understand that this work required many hours of study and testing, and is offered free for Educational Purposes primarily. The results illustrate the realism of the G-550 in almost every aspect imaginable, which is possible with all FSX aircraft when you know how and what is needed. General Electric CF6-80 v2 soundpack simulating the engine type fitted on the Boeing 767.
This is a quite major rebuild of the first Boeing 767 GE soundpack I made in February 2005. I've spent a lot of time tweaking and listening to how the the engines spool-up and I think the results are quite pleasing. Soundset is matched with the flight dynamics engine to make flying a lot more enjoyble. Instead of taking off with 100% thrust to really hear the turbofan and letting the speed rocket up to 240 in seconds and then have to decrease the thrust to 30% to not pass 250knots, you now can take-off with 85-90% of thrust, make a very smooth take-off roll and controlled climb. A recommended N1 setting (thrust) is 85-90% for take-off! New features in this set: Matched to use with the Project OpenSky Boeing 767v4 family flight dynamics engine exclusively (this pack might not work correctly with other 767 planes), New spool and turbofan sound for the interior as well as the exterior, New cockpit environment, Cockpit environment can now be turned off when pushing the "Battery on/off" button (for those panels fitted with these), New interior and exterior APU (These sound kicks in when engines are turned off).
