| Texture Replacement for Phoenix (Arizona) Area Buildings |
|
File Description:
Texture Replacement for Phoenix (Arizona) Area Buildings. There are two buildings in the default scenery for Phoenix, AZ which have needed correction since FSX was released. The original baseball stadium in downtown Phoenix was the Bank One Ballpark, along with the corresponding Bank One Building. Both were absorbed in 2005 by Chase Bank, with name changes (Chase Field and Chase Tower). Also, the local MLB team (Arizona Diamondbacks) changed their colors and logo style around the same time. None of this has been reflected in FSX-through-P3Dv5, as the original FSX textures have carried forward. I'm sure this isn't the only anachronism in the P3D world, but I am fixing my small corner of it. This fix is good for any version of FSX or P3D published to date (DDS textures), just copy the enclosed "scenery" folder into the main folder of your sim of choice, and over-write when prompted. The textures are only 512x512, as are the originals, so I may or may not re-do these in an HD-size in the future, but it will have to be from scratch, so no promises.

File Description:
Since it became operational in 1955, the B-52 has been the main long-range heavy bomber of the U.S. Air Force. It first flew on Apr. 15, 1952. Nearly 750 B-52s were built when production ended in Oct. 1963. This "J" model is the future re-engined "h" model 60-0042 of the 917th Wing AFRC based at Barksdale AFB (KBAD). She flies higher, further, and faster than any previous version. The aircraft can cruise at 380 KIAS at 500 ft agl over about 5,000 nm which makes her capable of reaching targets within enemy airspace anywhere on the globe without being detected by radar until it's too late. Her normal high altitude cruise speed has been increased to Mach .88 above FL550E over 9,000 nm without refueling, and her service ceiling has increased to FL570E. The 50,000 lb payload is still nominal, but due to the lighter engines she now has more accomidations for the crew, and does not require refueling very often. She can range much further with less speed (i.e., Mach .85), but there is normally no need for that. This aircraft is designed to fly like the real thing. It is likely one of the best B-52 models available at this time. I have test-flown this aircraft around the globe several times to reassure myself that all is well. You will not have a bouncing effect occur when cruising with 16x speed acceleration and autopilot engaged because all aerodynamics and balance are perfected to a very low margin of error, or no error margin at all. Please be sure to read the INSTRUCT.TXT file for extended details. | Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer HB-HMP 1986 livery |
|
File Description:
One Pilatus demonstrator in 1986 livery. The Pilatus PC7 Turbo Trainer originally flew on April 12 1966, this initial version was essentially a modified Pilatus P3 with a 550SHP PW&C PT6A-20 Turboprop, and failed to attract any sales until 1975 when the PC7 appeared with the PT6A-25 engine (of 650SHP) and a whole host of improvements. Since that time the PC7 has proven to be a capable trainer, and has since been superseded by the more capable PC9, and recently the PC-21, however the PC7 still continues to serve well in the training role of various air force's worldwide. This model has been fully constructed with FSDS v2.11 and it uses many common parts from my Pilatus PC9 Project (@ www.aussim.com). Textures only, requires original aircraft by David Friswell to www.aussim.com .

90% accurate scheduled flightplans for the winter 2005-2006 period, which have been compiled according to the company website, and cross-cheked with Amadeus database.
Strangely AerArann publishes more flights than it can physically fly with their current fleet; therefore I can't pretend this time that this file is fully accurate due to the fact that I had to add one more aircraft in order to place all the flights published.
For this I used the ATR-72 that they eventually leased to Aurigny (G-BWDA), but which had been returned since...
AerArann flies to the following destinations:
Belfast-City, Birmingham, Bristol, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Edinburgh, Galway, Isle of Man, Kerry, Liverpool, London-Luton, Manchester, Prestwick, Sligo, Southampton, and Waterford.

| Hawaiian Air 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Hawaiian Air was a shell of itself in the Transpacific market in 1998 compared to today, while it was fiercely competing with Aloha Airlines in the intra-Hawaii market. DC-10-10s preformed all Long Haul flights as well as those to the USA, while a fleet of DC-9-50s competed with Aloha between the islands. At the time, all flights from OGG to the mainland actually originated in Honolulu and made a stop in Maui in each direction on which no tickets were sold between HNL\OGG. LAX was used as a stop over point as well for flights between HNL\OGG and LAS. All mainland flights from HNL were daily while flights to other destinations in the Pacific and between the mainland and OGG were operated only a few days per week. HNL-LAX was the busiest route for the DC-10, with 3 daily flights. The MD-80s, other DC-9 variants, and the DHC-7s were gone by 1998, but the DC-9-50s still served the smaller airports of LNY and MKK(even with some very short flights between the two) at the time which were soon after abandoned until Ohana by Hawaiian was launched in recent years with ATR-42s. AIG DC-9-50 repaint by Christian Gold and Antoine Calleja of APG included. AIM DC-10-10 by Jason King on Avsim as "aim_dc1010_hawaiian_n160aa.zip". | P-51D 52nd FG QP-U "Hey Rube! IV" |
|
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, representing 44-14227 "Hey Rube! IV", which flew with the 2nd FS/ 52nd FG from Madna, Italy in july 1944, with Captain Daniel Zoerb as its assigned pilot. Zoerb played in a carnival band before the war, and the expression "Hey Rube!" was used to indicate that trouble was about to break out. This aircraft ended up in Rumania. During an escort mission on 8 september 1944, to pick up some American POW's with a B17, Capt Zoerb lost power over Bucharest airfield and made a very hard landing, buckling the wings. He stayed overnight with the Rumanian pilots and was treated to a real feast: Sheep's head soup! The next day, he flew back in a B17. He finished his combat tour a major with seven kills and as CO of the squadron.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It should work in both FSX and FS9.
