Avro York (Base Package) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Re-upload. Used variously as a long-range freighter and/or passenger airliner, the York was designed around the wings, engines, undercarriage, and tail assembly of the Lancaster bomber, adding a box-shaped fuselage and a center fin. Of a total of 253 production aircraft built, 208 initially went to the RAF, 25 to BOAC, 12 to BSAA, and 5 to FAMA (Flota Area Mercante Argentina). Specially fitted VIP versions were used by Winston Churchill and General de Gaulle. After completing 29,000 sorties in the Berlin Airlift of 1948-9, many RAF Yorks were sold to charter operators such as Aviation Traders, Dan Air, Hunting Clan, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation, and Skyways of London. Some of these re-acquired RAF roundels for "trooping flights" to the Middle East in the 1950s. From 1955 onward, the Yorks were gradually withdrawn, although some soldiered on until 1964. Two such veterans have been preserved as museum exhibits in Duxford and Cosford in the UK. Gmax exterior model and textures by Manfred Jahn, FDE by Paul Edwards, panel by Phil Perrott (Alphasim), Paul Edwards, and Lars Fors. A dedicated AI version has been released separately. The textures in this package represent MW207 of 246 Squadron RAF, BOAC G-AGNP ("Manchester"), and Skyways G-AHEY. The Flight dynamics are for a York fitted with Merlin-500 series engines.

FSX Grand Canyon North Rim Simulation Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Welcome to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon! This scenery is a mostly fictitious representation of what the North Rim might look like of it had been developed like the South rim. A new airport (KKPA, Kaibab Plateau Airport) is the centerpiece. It sits at 8,730 ft MSL so density altitude is a real issue. Runway 17/35 is 6,500ft long so biz jets can get in and out safely. A new resort sits atop the ridge to the east [Eagle's Nest]. There is a helipad for access. An NDB makes finding it easier [AZ95 220.9 kHz]. Or you can just follow the traffic on the access road that branches off from highway 67 just south of the airport. To the north I have added a gravel strip to Jacob Lake where 67 joins 89A. Runway 14/32 is 3000 ft long and sits at 7900 ft MSL. An NDB [AZ93 393 kHz] is included. At the south end of Highway 67 sits the North Rim Visitor Center. There is a helipad on the roof for those who like rotary wing challenges. The NDB is AZ94 at 423.4 kHz. The entire length of Highway 67 is represented with traffic going both ways. You will see air traffic from KGCN at the South Rim and traffic between KKPA and Jacob Lake.

Hunting Percival Sea Prince Belgian Air Force (RM-7) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Percival Sea Prince by Rob Richardson, in the colors of RM-7 of the Belgian Air Force, in the paintscheme it wore in its first year of service. In 1953 the Belgian Government ordered 12 Percival Pembroke's through Contract N° SP140 as a replacement for the ageing Avro Anson. The aircraft was used for short-range transport and liaison flights. Between 1956 and 1957 several brand-new Pembrokes were stored at Wevelgem awaiting a future detachment to the Belgian Congo, which eventually never materialised. A number of Pembrokes were also used for the benefit of the Belgian National Geographical Institute that used the aerial photographs obtained with the Pembrokes to produce very detailed maps of the country. In 1978 the Pembrokes were struck of charge after their replacement, the Swearingen Merlin III became operational. All but two Pembrokes were sold to the rather dark company Air America (not to be confused with the CIA-supported Air America that was operational in South-East Asia), which was owned by a drugsdealer. After some very adventurous carreers in Souith America, several former Belgian Pembrokes were acquired and preserved in the USA. RM-7 is preserved in Belgium at Melsbroek air base by the Dakota Historical Center 15th Wing. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Rob Richardson.

LIPZ - Venezia Tessera Intl. Airport "Marco Polo" - v2.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Afcad of LIPZ (Venice Tessera "Marco Polo") airport for FS9 default scenery. In order to make the scenery as close as possible to the real airport the layout is based on the newest Jeppesen parking chart of LIPZ, on the Aeronautical Information Publication Italy and on photos of the real airport. The previous version was v1.4; instead of naming this version v1.5, I named it v2.0 because the entire airport had been redesigned from the begining in order to achieve a new level of realism. When I decided to redesign the entire airport, the idea that I had in mind was to make it more like a full scenery as real as it gets using FS stock buildings and objects than only a plain afcad. Main features that have been added since v1.4 (released on April 19th, 2007): - since October 2009 a new tower is operative on LIPZ to better manage the ground traffic on the apron, I added it trying to make the environment look as close as possible to the real one; - more than 95% of the buildings of the real world airport have their place in the scenery using FS stock buildings; - static objects and vehicles have been added; - pole lights and antenas have been added; - parking gates and ramps have been adjusted; - airline parking codes have been updated. For more afcads made by me visit my website www.skycolors.com.

Piaggio P-166 Collection Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains an updated re-release of all my original Piaggio P-166 models developed for FS-2002/2004. All versions are included in a single package: P-166A, P-166BL-2, P-166CL-2, P-166M, P-166S, P-166DL-3 and P-166DP-1. The 3D models are the same, so these are fairly simple models. Yet they come with a VC (no 2D panel this time!). With respect to the original releases, they come with very much improved panels, in two flavors: Piston and Turboprop. Gauges developed by Milton Shupe & Scott Thomas for the Aero Commander / Turbo Commander Aircraft series, and Edgar Guinart López of Aeroproyecto for the Embraer 110. Other Gauges from my own Piaggio P-180 & PD-808. Also Included is a brand-new flight model redeveloped from scratch. Please refer to the Reference and Checklist pages provided via the FS Kneeboard for flying and operating instructions. The Piaggio P-166 is a light small twin. An Exotic twin-engine prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light amphibian, which the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tail planes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957. The aircraft was still in production in the early 21st century in an improved turboprop version, the P-166DP-1.

Piaggio P-180 v2.0 Download

File Description:
www.mariopilot.6x.to What's new in version 2.0: 1) gMAX re-formatted model: FS-X compatibility, and new animations. 2) Completely new Avionics 100% XML formatted 3) new ultra-fine tuned flight dynamics 4) Hi-res virtual cockpit with 3-D throttles and 3-D virtual cabin. 5) Lots more... Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The Piaggio P-180 Avanti is a Luxury Jetprop. Its design is the result of a "thinking outside the box" project philosophy. It means that building techniques are standard while aerodynamics are unique for it's kind. It features a three lifting surface design, laminar flow wing and twin pusher turboprop configuration. Passenger comfort features the possiiblity of standing in feet inside the plane, low noise due to pusher propellers and "Pininfarina" designed arrangement. Performances are unique too, cruising at 395 KTAS (260 KIAS) at 28000 ft, a jet-like speed, being the P-180 a twin turboprop. The result is a 40% reduced operational cost respect to a jet of similar size, and 30% less respect to a similar size turboprop, all at same price of a small Jet. This model is 804 Kbs with c.a. 19000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. Features Clickable Dynamic Photortreal VC with Night Lighting, night lighted internals, Photoreal 2D Cockpit, Engine start Effect, advanced FDE, Customizable Payloads. **READ NOTES BEFORE FLYING**(README.TXT, P180_REF.HTM AND P180_CHECK.HTM, also available as reference and checklist in FS kneeboard...) Integrated Simavionics: Dreamfleet 727 GNS Edition 1.0 Download

File Description:
Here's probably the best addition to your favorite Trijet! The Dreamfleet 727 sure is one of the best simulated classic airliners out there for Flight Simulator, but being a classic, it also brings some problems when flown in a modern air traffic environment. Radio navigation alone just won't do it anymore, especially if you fly online with real controlers. A "go direct XXX" instruction can easily turn into a nightmare - nowadays technology offers some things to ease the workload and increase safety, and it's time to use these means wherever possible. Boeing 727 jets are still being flown in almost all parts of the world, mostly as freighters, and almost all of them have been updated with modern avionics, ranging from small GPS devices up to full blown glass cockpits with flight management computers. Thanks to Ernie Alston and his "Integrated Simavionics", you will now be able to equip your fleet of Dreamfleet 727 aircraft with a GNS, allowing not only detailed flight planning but also access to many informations that will very useful during your flights. In case you haven't already done so, now would be a good time to pick up the manuals that came with the "Integrated Simavionics Package" to learn about the many new possibilities you will gain by adding the GNS to your cockpit. The gauges will be added both to the 2D and 3D cockpits! Another benefit you get with this package: the Virtual Cockpit textures will now appear in a much higher resolution, providing crisp and clear instruments and a much better look! Note that this is only enabled with the GNS-equipped cockpits.

Nulato NUL in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Nulato is a small village on the west bank of the Yukon River, around 8 miles south of where the river turns from north-south to east-west, east being upstream towards the distant Fairbanks. The population is just under 300 and living from fishing and the land. During the late 1800's the village lived by the spin off from gold mining, such as supplying cut wood as fuel for the boats plying the Yukon River. In 1900 a measles epidemic cut the population down by a third, and in the early 1900's the gold mining moved to Nome and Fairbanks, with obvious results for local prosperity. The airfield is close by and has a gravel runway aligned 2-20 and just under 4,500 feet long. Apart from the airfield itself, and it's buildings, this scenery modifies the local land class, adds village buildings while reducing the village size to reality, and creates a new airfield background. Don't ask me about the odd arrangement of the airfield buildings, I have no idea why they are like that. Nulato is served by Wright Air from Fairbanks in the east and this is included in the AI. A note here about my scenery making. This is post number 508 and there will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes. There is a limit to what can be located online and I have already been making use of the little there is; eg Unalakleet. So, if you are near an airport (preferably Canadian or Alaskan) and have a camera..... Let me know.

Elim ELI and Moses Point MOS in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Elim is a coastal village 90 miles east of Nome, living from fishing and with a population of around 330. The airfield has a gravel runway 3,000 feet long. The majority of flights to and from the airfield originate in Nome, but there are also others to and from nearby fields such as Golovin, Unalakleet, Shaktoolik, and Koyuk. A further 7 miles or so east of Elim is another field called Moses Point MOS, which is included here and was an Army Airforce field before being transferred to the private ownership of the Elim Native Corporation. Until Elim ELI was established (date unknown, but after 1988) this served the village of Elim and although the runway is now unlit and not in very good condition (translate that as "full of potholes") it is stated that the longer runway can still be used if Elim is not adequate. However, the note is undated and there are no details of how often it is used or even if it is actually still currently in use. There is one hangar still in existence; all the rest has been demolished and (mostly) removed. A note here about my scenery making. This is post number 502 and there will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes. There is a limit to what can be located online and I have already been making use of the little there is; eg Unalakleet. Republic P-47D-22 365th FG (C4-Z) "Dry Run" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-26124 C4-Z "Dry Run", the assignjed aircraft of Lt Zell Smith, of the 388th FS/365th FG. Hailing from Monroe, Louisiana, Lt. Smith was one of the original pilots of the 365th. He had a very dry sense of humor, which was sometimes mistaken for a serious demeanor, but other pilots liked to fly with him because he exuded confidence. During the october 21, 1944 'turkey shoot', he was credited with shooting down a 109, a 190 and damaging a second 190. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.
