Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 12) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Boeing B-52 Stratofortress (Part 12). The B-52 first flew in 1952, the last one was built in 1961, and there are still over 90 of the original 744 airframes either in front-line service or in a ready-reserve status. With extensive avionics upgrades starting this year, the USAF plans on using the B-52s until 2045, 93 years after first flight. The aircraft has an impressive resume, having served in five shooting wars and was the backbone of Strategic Air Command's nuclear deterrent air component during almost forty years of Cold War service.

Jake Burrus started this AI traffic model a couple of years ago, and I was honored to pick up the project and get it across the finish line, with no small amount of help from Mike MacIntyre, as usual. This is a 7-LOD AI traffic model representing the Stratofortress in all of its operational service. This is part 12, showcasing the B-52H used from 1993 to 2000; with a total of 32 repaints. Also included are optional models for VFR traffic use. Aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Mike Pearson, master textures and repaints by Mike Pearson, flight dynamics by Mike MacIntyre. Please read the extensive documentation contained in the file.

Paramount Air Airport JY04 , NJ Download

File Description:
Located 01 miles N of Green Creek, New Jersey on 20 acres of land, Paramount Air Airport is a private turf strip 2000' in length, although about 300' of it at the end of Runway 32 isn't in the best shape. The runway is 100' wide but closely hedged in by trees along both sides for the length of the runway. A hangar is past the end of Runway 14 but no services are offered for transient aircraft. Still, you can choose to start parked at the hangar if you wish. There is no hard surfaced runway so having your terrain mesh set as high as possible is recommended. No windsock is present, so know your weather (KWWD is very close by) and the airport is unlit so daytime VFR operations only are recommended. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 005. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

F/A18 Hornet Download

File Description:
The F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather aircraft used as an attack aircraft as well as a fighter. It was designed to replace both the A-7 Corsair in the light ground attack role, and the F-4 Phantom which operated in both the air defense and ground attack roles.  It compliments the F-14 Tomcat and can be operated from forward airstrips for the U.S. Marine Corps. In the fighter mode, the F/A-18 is used primarily as a fighter escort and for fleet air defense; in the attack mode, it is used for force projection, interdiction and close and deep air support. The F/A-18 currently equips the majority of Navy and Marine fighter-attack squadrons and will ultimately replace the F-14 Tomcat as it has the F-4 Phantom, the A-4 Skyhawk and the A-7 Corsair II. The Blue Angels flight demonstration team has used the F/A-18 since 1987.  The final Hornet to be built was rolled out of Boeing's facility at Patuxent River, Maryland, in August 2000. Over 1,400 Hornets were built and over 1,200 are now flying in fifty-five active duty, reserve and test squadrons, as well as in seven foreign countries.

P51 Black Widow for Vs. 6.4/6.51 Download

File Description:
P-61B BLACK WIDOW for x-plane 6.4/6.51 The need for a true night fighter aircraft was well demonstrated during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Aircraft used to counter German night attacks were not very effective. At the direction of the Air Corp's Carl A. Spaatz, John Northrop submitted a ground up night fighter design, which, designated as the XP-61, first flew on May 26, 1942. The Black Widow was the first aircraft designed from the ground up as a night fighter. Its innovative slotted flaps and spoiler ailerons allowed operation from short airstrips and improved handling; the radar carried in its nose made it the dominant force in the night skies of Europe and the South Pacific. From July 6, 1944, when it claimed its first victory, to war's end, the P-61 distinguished itself as one of America's most unique fighting machines. After the war, P-61s were used in reconnaissance, weather research, and flight testing. The first American flight ejections were made from a P-61. Only four P-61 aircraft are known to exist today. SPECIFICATIONS: ENGINES: 2 Pratt and Whitney R-2800 2000 HP radials WING SPAN: 66.0 ft. LENGTH: 49.42 ft. HEIGHT: 14.67 ft. MAXIMUM SPEED: 366 MPH ARMAMENT: Four 20mm Cannon.

Minuteman II Missile Download

File Description:
The Minuteman was Americas Third Operational ICBM System. During the Cuban Missile Crisis it was America's "Ace In The Hole". It has been operational at U.S. bases since 1962 reaching a peak of 1,000 missiles. The Minuteman II program was economically crucial to the development of integrated circuits. It was the first mass-produced system to use a computer constructed from integrated circuits, and used most of the production of such circuits from 1962 through 1967. The other major customer of these circuits was the Apollo Guidance Computer, which had similar weight and ruggedness constraints. The Orbiter version keeps up with the historical aspect of this horrible weapon. This add-on is created for historical purposes only, and we do not condone using Orbiter to simulate nuclear war. No active Minuteman II missiles currently exist today. The only way to see one now is at a museum or on display at various Air Force bases world wide. This add-on simulates the flight plan and package delivery of a real Minuteman II missile. The warhead included in this add-on is from the Trinity package created by Dave Rowbothham. The warhead activates at about 4 minutes to impact. It arms at 2000 feet and detonation occurs at 1800 feet.

Flight Sim Air Taxi - Pen and Paper Rules Download

File Description:
This is a PDF document providing a simple and unobtrusive roleplaying game to be used with FSX, X-Plane or any other simulator. It emulates the life of an air taxi or charter pilot. The game requires a pen, notebook and two packs of playing cards (to be combined - remove the Jokers). I hope it is of use to some people who don't want all the book-keeping hassles with add-ons like Cargo Pilot, Air Hauler or FS Passengers! I write roleplaying games (as Zozer Games) for a living, my site is at www.paulelliottbooks. Hope you enjoy flying air taxi!! Zozer Games
