Satellite Assisted Landing System Version 9

File Description:
FS2004 Gauge: Satellite Assisted Landing System, v9 (SALS). Using satellite data, this gauge provides glidepath/glideslope guidance into all runways inside the FS world. Approach heading and glideslope indicators are displayed during the landing phase in a fashion similar to those used with ILS and requires the same piloting techniques to keep the needles centered. Because SALS has the ability to guide an aircraft to both ends of a runway, every airport including grass strips and seaplane bases can be accessed with a high level of landing precision. In case of missed approaches, backcourse guidance is provided during climbout. Panel or separate window installation. Includes SALS icon gauge and Word doc with illustrated design parameters. Landing Areas for Western Australia V1

File Description:
A collection of 35 dirt station strips (ranch strips)and country airstrips for Western Australia made from a blend of AFCAD, Airport, Runway 12, E.O.D. and Google Earth and using my country api's. Some textures are mine and the rest are an accumulation of 6 years FS. An addition to the many other fine contributions for WA. Simply unzip in addon scenery and register the folder in your FS.

Landing Parameters for FSX and P3D

File Description: Landing_Params is a Lua script for FSX/P3D that displays landing parameters in a small text window that pops up after the aircraft has landed and has reached taxi speed. The script should be activated with a key or button (like the gear down key/button) during the approach to landing. Parameters displayed in the window after touchdown are Indicated Airspeed (IAS, Kts), Ground Speed (GS, Kts), Landing Distance (LD, ft), Landing Roll (LR, ft), Vertical Speed (VS, ft/min), Attitude Indicator pitch at touchdown (AI), and Bounce Count (BC). Data collection begins when the a/c passes through a radar altimeter determined threshold altitude window between 45 and 55 ft (i.e., the nominal 50ft threshold height). In addition, more detailed landing parameter information may be logged. A registered copy of FSUIPC is required to execute the Lua script.

Mount Pleasant Landing Strip Airport (67NJ), NJ

File Description:
Located 01 miles S of Hainesburg, New Jersey on 192 acres of land, Mount Pleasant Landing Strip Airport is a private turf field. The strip itself is 2100 feet in length over fairly level ground. There is no hard-surfaced grass runway in place, so setting your mesh to the highest resolution is recommended as you will be landing on bare terrain. Next to Runway 06 is a path through the trees you can taxi along to get to a hangar - although it is not available for transient aircraft and is closed. Collision with the trees along the path near the hangar and the static aircraft parked near it is disabled to make it easier to move through this relatively tight area. Immediately beyond the hangar is a clearing with ample room to turn around to taxi back out. You can also start parked in front of the hangar. The windsock is located a few feet west of the hangar and is not lit. The runway also has no edge lighting so daytime VFR operations only are recommended for this airfield. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New York 007. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

Grumman Albatross version 2.1 FDE Landing Lights

File Description:
Grumman HU-16 Albatross 2.1 Greg Pepper, Michael Verlin revised FDE with landing lights This package contains revised aircraft.cfg and air files. I've modified the contact points for the hull and nose gear and retractable landing lights The contact points for the landing lights were omitted in previous uploads. The lights are tied to the water rudder (Shift+W). It has been 5 years since version 2.0 was released. Fortunately, I kept copies of my correspondence with Greg Pepper, which had the information for the missing contact points. They are now included. My apologies for the error. This should finish matters for version 2.1 Instructions unzip this file into the Grumman Albatross G64 section of your FS9 Aircraft folder. overwrite the existing aircraft.cfg and HU16.air files with the files in this package. File Description:
Added aprons and buildings. Also added ILS/DME for Runway 5. Created with Airport Design Editor by ScruffyDuck Software using current FAA documentation and Google Earth measurements, this package offers a replacement for FSX's stock airport. All these enhancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects.
