Air Canada DC-8 Operating Manual

File Description:
These are scans from an old Air Canada DC-8 manual. There are four chapters: Chapter 2 - Normal Operation, which includes Takeoff through Approach and Landing procedures. Chapter 4 - Performance, which includes performance charts for DC-8-40 (RR Conway), DC-8-50 (JT3D-3), DC-8-61 (JT3D-3) and DC-8-63 (JT3D-7). Chapter 20 - Flight Instruments, which includes detailed descriptions and schematics of the pitot static system, gyrosyn compass system, and a flight director approach diagram. Chapter 21 - Automatic Flight Control System, which includes descriptions and a schematic of the autopilot system, as well as a description of autothrottle operation (Air Canada had some DC-8-63s with autothrottle). These are the only chapters I have, so don't bother asking for more! Big thanks to Herman Kreimes who provided the material for scans.

Catalunya Coast V1.0

File Description:
Catalonia is with Barcelona, the Costa Brava and many other places and sights a popular tourist aim primarily for European. The standard scenery of FSX in Spain and therefore also Catalonia has been improved strongly. But there are areas which urgently required a revision, though. So the shoreline was modelled by Catalonia only roughly (see the pictorial material). In addition, many coastal places etc. are missing in the standard. With this scenery expansion which will contain the whole Catalonia in the final construction stage, the coast of Catalonia has been improved in a first step. The following has been done: - correction of the complete coastal line of Catalonia - insert of 61 towns and villages along the coast - insert of 123 beaches - insert of 59 ports/marinas with landing stages and ships - modification of offshore landscapes - inking the offshore sea zones

ChopperWorld FSX Strobe Collection

File Description:
This Finney Air ChopperWorld FSX Strobe Collection for Instant Scenery contains helicopter related strobe/fixture sets in various sizes of square, round and triangular configurations, as well as a single strobe fixture. The collection contains two effects-only strobe sets which will allow Instant Scenery users of Finney Air FS9 ChopperWorld to install strobe effects over the non-functioning strobe fixtures attached to several of the ChopperWorld pads & towers. The collection also includes an invisible landable platform w/strobe effects only, no strobe fixtures. Since the previously released Finney Air FSX Landable Platform collection platforms are only semi-invisible, this invisible landable platform is specific to repairing the landable platforms/strobe fixtures of the ChopperWorld mountain and offshore towers which featured see-through metal grate landing surfaces which in FSX are non-functioning, refer to README file for placement suggestions.

This is and update of Ray Smith's 'yssy_rs_fsx.zip' file and has been modified with his permission for Prepar3Dv2/v3. This airport replaces the stock Prepar3D airport with two optional files: one file with the Crosswind runway 7/25 activated where all 3 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one file as the default runway operation: The International Terminal has been redesigned and now includes night lighting, assigned parking as per their website for T2 & T3, six gates added for the A380, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, Marsh St and Bridge added including Airport Drive and Link Rd, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt, lighted helipad with the area buildings and many other scenery improvements, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

EGLL (LHR) Default Scenery V1.0

File Description:
This RAFCAD file adds all gates possible at EGLL ( 159 gates ), with the all new European designators for each gate and taxi - way. This is for use with Default scenery. In this version i have opened runway 27L for take off and 27R for landing. Runway 23 is taken out of use completely as it is never used in real life except for on rare occasions. The maintenance area is not included as planes do not park here. All Taxis-ways have designators taken from real world BAA documents. Please read the readme file for more details. I will update this when Ulimate traffic is released to put all airlines in the correct place, but as there is only a limited amount of airlines on the web right now, i have selected other ( area ) for more long haul places and some short haul )

Agusta Bell AB-47G Hellenic Air Force (with floaters)

File Description:
Agusta Bell AB-47G helicopters equiped with floaters for water landings, used to operate in service of Hellenic Air Force, since 1971. They used to operate as VIP transporters, liasons, trainers or even as ambulances. Painted with bright light blue & white pattern, some of them are resting at the Hellenic Air Force museum today. This repaint version has been specifically created as an honor to the 359th Sqdr of Hellenic Air Force with an utility role. This "AB-47G_HAF_v2.zip" package is fully compatible with FS2K2 and it contains sound, panel, checklist, and a VERY completed aircraft handbook/manual (16 pages) which can be read with Adobe Acrobat. This repaint was based on the original GMAX model made by Jean Marie Mermaz. The package also contains visual effects, night lighting, floaters for landing on water, etc.

File Description:
An FS2002 GPS flight Plan by the Ancient Brit. The 53rd in a series of Round the World flight plans for the FS2002 default scenery. Depart Kulusuk (BGKK) runway 11, Greenland and arrive 2 hours 9 minutes later at Kangerlussuaq (BGSF) runway 10 Greenland. The direct distance is 337 nm, but I have gone the ‘pretty way’ taking 621 nm and using 1,340 custom waypoints in the process. The departure takes you for a low level tour (500 ft) along Fjords and between mountains, climbs to cruise then descends for another low level tour (500 ft) along Fjords and between mountains, before finishing with a VFR landing (Hand holding instructions given). The flight briefing (Word and text) is for the default B737-400; it contains climb, cruise, top of descent and fuel loading details, waypoint timings and destination details.
