This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. One repaint represents Resort Airlines' C-54B (modified to DC-4 standard) N88709 while performing military charter flights (Logair) for the U.S. Government from October 1954 till sometime in 1955. Then she was placed in open storage at Oakland, CA. The other repaint represents the same aircraft in her British ferry markings she carried in late June 1961. Around 1961-62 five ex-Resort C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N88709, which was in an extremely poor condition after her Logair period of minimal maintenance and repeated overloading, as well as the abuse by the elements during the open air storage close to sea water, was one of these lucky birds.

| The Hawaiian Islands - Kauai, Part 1 of 5 |

File Description:
The complete scenery package is 446MB in size. In order to accommodate AvSim's file size requirement, this scenery has been broken into five smaller files. However, all five files -- Hawaii-Kauai-RS-01.zip through Hawaii-Kauai-RS-05.zip -- are necessary for this scenery to work properly. My apologies in advance for the added complexity this involves. "Hawaii-Kauai-RS-01" includes a ReadMe with detailed instructions on how to install this scenery.
Kauai itself is the fourth largest of the main Hawaiian Islands. Also known as the "Garden Isle" due to it's lush tropical foliage, it is located about 105 miles (170 kilometers) west of Oahu and just to the east of tiny Niihau. The east side of Mount Wai'ale'ale is considered to be one of the wettest spots on earth receiving an average annual rainfall of 460 inches (1,200 cm). All that water has carved out deep valleys in the central mountains, the most scenic of which is Waimea Canyon, often referred to as "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific". From shoreline cliffs to mountainous heights, to pristine beaches, enjoy exploring this picture postcard perfect landscape.

| Alternate Ultimate Terrain Roads |

ALTERNATE ULTIMATE TERRAIN ROADS

Being an autogen designer in the Birds Eye View team inspired me to manipulate whatever I can to make FS9 look as realistic as possible. This is an alternate set of concrete and asphalt highways and local roads, color matched exactly to photographs of roads and highways, and with more realistic local roads. THESE WILL ONLY WORK WITH ULTIMATE TERRAIN, and you need to have purchased Ultimate Terrain USA/Canada to make these work.
INSTALLATION :
They are simply installed into FS9/texture. The default 'bright' UT roads are also included in case you`d like to revert back to them.
The screenshots I have included are all with BEV summer textures. (www.flightsim-bev.com). I strongly advise getting Ultimate Terrain if you dont have it already, as it will greatly enhance your road/river/water bodies network . Also, if you change a setting in Ultimate Terrain, you will probably have to reinstall these roads. They should work with UT settings of 'residential roads on' or with 'main highways and roads only' .

| Colorado Lakes Project II |

File Description:
This project features the Blue Mesa Reservoir and the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and adds over 300 highly detailed lakes to the central portion of western Colorado. Three reservoirs, named for corresponding dams on the Gunnison River, form the heart of Curecanti National Recreation Area. Panoramic mesas, fjord-like reservoirs, and deep, steep and narrow canyons abound. Blue Mesa Reservoir is Colorado's largest body of water, and is the largest Kokanee Salmon fishery in the United States. Morrow Point Reservoir is the beginning of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and below it is Crystal Reservoir.
These lakes are specifically designed to show off their photo realistic detail when used in combination with "FSGenesis-The Rockies 38.2m Terrain Mesh-Colorado" available as "fsg_dem38m_usrk_co.zip" at avsim.com, or comparable mesh. The free FSGenesis US National Landclass Project Beta 6 also adds beautifully to the landscape. These lakes work equally as well with the default mesh.
All lake information was projected from satellite imagery and compiled with a beta version of Jim Keir's "Slartibartfast" utility. Much thanks to Holger Sandmann and Jim Keir for their help and advice on interpreting the satellite data properly.

This is a repaint of a Boeing 777-300ER, registration code PK-GIA, operated by Garuda Indonesia, the flag carrier of Indonesia. Headquartered at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, near Jakarta and operates flights to a number of destinations in Southeast Asia, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Australia. Garuda uses a "nature's wing" graphic painted on its fleet vertical stabilizer, inspired by the wings of tropical birds as well as the ripples of waves upon the water. Garuda currently operates 4 Boeing 777-300ERs.
This repaint has plenty of clear markings so if you enjoy exterior detail, then you will love this repaint. You can see (and read): Door opening instructions; Static port directions; Air vent warnings; Engine hazard area; No Step warnings; RAT caution; APU intake warning; Stabilizer compartment access; Ground power supply; Forward and aft access door instructions; Pitot, ADA probe, Ice detector and TAT probe markings; Visible rivets; Enhanced window frames; Authentic Garuda logo; Bold, colorful Garuda livery and authentic flags; Lovely Garuda flight attendant; No frame rate hit.

Googlyafcad A&F Data file for Ketchikan International based on Google Earth satellite
data - a small but relatively busy airport located in one of the wettest parts of
Alaska, USA. Ketchikan is Alaska's fifth largest city, with its economy based on
salmon fishing.
For some curious reason the facilities provided in Flight Simulator 2004 omit a crucial
taxiway at the west end of the airport, causing all traffic to taxi from the opposite
end. These files redress this issue, and also provide realistic levels of parking for
commercial and general aviation traffic, allowing you and your "AI" traffic to land,
taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner. The layout has been cunningly designed
to fit both with the Flight Simulator default scenery and version 2 of Alan Wright's
enhanced scenery (paktv2.zip on AVSIM) and is compatible with both in every respect.
Apart from conventional and water-based general aviation aircraft Ketchikan International
is regularly served by commercial flights of Alaska Airlines and by smaller operators
such as Alaska Central Express, Everts Air Alaska and LAB Flying Service. [File re-uploaded at request of AVSIM]

Prepar3D Scenery--John F. Kennedy International Airport (KJFK), New York (NY), USA. This file updates Ray Smith's KJFK scenery previously uploaded for use with FSX. Ray has given me permission to adapted his scenery for Prepar3Dv2 and replaces file Prepar3d_rwc_kjfk.zip This airport update incorporates two optional files, one version with the Crosswind runways activated and in full operation where all 4 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default runway operation: assigned parking now updated as per their website including gates for the A380, Terminal 3 demolished, Delta has now moved much of its operations to T4 as well as using T2, the new terminal extension added to T4 concourse B and allocated only for Delta connection, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, the freeway traffic that crosses taxiways A and B now ends before these taxiways, Autogen around the water edges of the airport removed, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other improvements, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation. This VJPL production of the Cessna Citation Sovereign comes fully loaded with all the features one could expect of a 16 million dollar business jet Custom designed to be frame rate friendly using a "Lite" switch that during use in high density scenery hides the passenger cabin in an instant and reduces the load on the computer. Further, this model performs better in the VC than with the 2D panel in view, interior appointments include a high detail passenger cabin with running water in the lavatory and a flushing toilet, all tables extend for use and include wine for the animated passenger, a functional bar, an operational computer and all cabin doors including closet open and close and leather seating, animated copilot, fully click able Virtual Cockpit animated down to the visors and custom cabin lighting, the exterior has all control surfaces and exits animated and thrust reverser's.
PDF documents for this model include performance data, flight instructions and FMC operations manual. My thanks to Glenn Copeland for the computer display, the good Friar and all those who helped with specifications and layout.

This project adds and updates all of the airports of Bhutan. Bathpalathang (VQBT) and Gelephu (VQGP) are added, Yongphulla (VQ10) is updated and recoded as VQTY, and Paro (VQPR) is fully updated to reflect current satellite imagery. These are all fully functioning AI airports as well. Special attention was given to the entire Paro Valley, and numerous road/river vectors were updated around Gelephu. Accurate coastlines, lakes, road and river data, as well as corrected landclass are provided based on the latest available satellite imagery. They are optimized to fit seamlessly with FTX Vector's roads/water, but they should be fully functional in all FSX configurations.
GA-encoded flight plans for the Buddha Air/Kathmandu charter are provided to enhance service to Paro. NASA SRTM Global 3 arc second terrain mesh is also included for all of Bhutan. Updates were created or rebuilt in a manner which carefully aligned airport data with current satellite imagery, when available. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X v1.61.5298, SBuilderX 3.13, and the FSX Object Placement Tool. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FSX scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airports.

| How to correctly use SimConnect in standalone applications in C++ |

This is an article and a demonstration program for programmers.
This article describes the correct way to create a Windows application that uses SimConnect functions as C++ classes. "The correct way" involves the creation of a multi-threaded application with the exchange events between the main and working threads and encapsulation of the client thread, functions and structures of the SimConnect library in C++ classes.
Paying attention to points of principle, the process of creation client application is described. Some original solutions of the wrapping of the functions and data structures were applied. Detailed comments are present. The executable file is absent in the archive due to license restrictions. You can build it from the source code. There is a project for Visual Studio 2010 in attached archive.
