Airstrips of Southern Germany Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The next my Western Europe airstrips project, herewith about 170 small airfields, mostly in Baden-Wurttemberg and Bavaria, each enhanced with buildings, taxiways, parking spaces and aprons as appropriate, to further facilitate the generation of lightweight AI traffic in the area, without overloading the more major airfields. Again, there's no photo-realism here, just a selection of basic 'generic' buildings, more or less accurately sized and placed to reflect the airfield layout as seen on on-line satellite imagery and aerial photography. These buildings have minimal effect on frame-rates, so are ideal for this kind of job. The airfields are aligned as well as possible with the roads etc. in UT Europe and the Genesis Europe mesh, but should mostly be fine in a default installation or other configuration. Please read the rest of this "blurb" in the included text file. There may be some details of note or interest.

Erding Air Base, Germany Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FS2004 scenery for Erding Air Base, Southern Germany. Erding was turned over to Allied control after the second world war and served for many years as home to first the U.S. 440th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, and then the 52nd Tactical Fighter Group. When the 52nd withdrew in 1971 the base served as a rotation point for various NATO units finally becoming a repair and upgrade center for the then-new Typoon Eurofighter. Serving Southern Germany for over 50 years, the base now faces an uncertain future due to plans for a high-speed rail connection through the property. Scenery includes custom 3-D objects as well as seasonal photo-groundcover.

Germany Marine, PANAVIA TORNADO Download

File Description:
The Panavia Tornado is a family of twin-engine combat aircraft, which was jointly developed by the West Germany, United Kingdom and Italy. There are three primary versions of the Tornado; the Tornado IDS (Interdictor/Strike) fighter-bomber, the suppression of enemy air defences Tornado ECR (Electronic Combat/Reconnaissance) and the Tornado F.3 (only United Kingdom) a air fefence variant. It is one of the world's most sophisticated and capable interdiction and attack aircraft, with a long range, large payload and high survivability. Developed and built by Panavia, a tri-national consortium consisting of MBB of West Germany, British Aerospace, and Alenia Aeronautica of Italy. The Tornado first flew on August 14, 1974, and saw action with the RAF and AMI (Italian Air Force) in the Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm). International co-operation continued after its entry into service within the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment, a tri-nation training and evaluation unit operating from RAF Cottesmore, England. Including all variants, 992 aircraft were built for the three partner nations and Saudi Arabia (first export customer). Demoversion with banners. Airstrips of Central Germany Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Another selection in my Airstrips of Western Europe project, herewith 80+ small airfields in central Germany, each enhanced with taxiways, parking spaces, buildings etc. and aprons as appropriate, to further facilitate the generation of lightweight AI traffic in the area, without overloading the more major airfields. As before, the files for each airfield can be easily identified by the ICAO code, even if the airfield names vary slightly, so you can pick and choose and mix and match to suit any sceneries you already have, should you so wish. There is no requirement for any other download. Each airfield will exist as a stand-alone entity should you only want a few of them. Please read the rest of this "blurb" in the included text file. There may be some details of note or interest.
