| Val-U-Prop DC-3: Coast-to-Coast with American Airlines 1937 |

File Description:
Following as closely as possible an authentic American Airlines flight plan from about 1937, this is an NDB to NDB flight with GPS and ATC for FS2002 users (just place the files in the "myflts" subfolder of the "Flights" folder), with a text file that includes all NavAids, headings, etc., for all users to print and follow. The route leaves Newark and flies in seven stages to: Chicago; St. Louis; Tulsa; Dallas (Meacham); El Paso; Phoenix, and finally to Burbank, California. The route can be flown using a DC-2 or DC-3, and is scenic, fun and challenging.

FS2004 Special effects for default DC-3.
Customized engine startup smoke and high
altitude contrails are now enabled by MS
for use on each aircraft, jet or prop,
single or multi-engine, by using the FS9
version of the aircraft.cfg's [EFFECTS]
section to specify them. The temperature
below which the contrails occur can also
be defined in aircraft.cfg by the user.
DC-3 startup smoke, contrails, and tire-
mark (14" wide) are included in the d/l.
Also fixes wrong prop rotation; has more
scrape points/effects for bellylandings.
Easy manual installation with all new
filenames.

Just as I am releasing this flight plan, one of Biman's DC-10s has overrun the runway at Chittagong and will be in maintenance for at least six months. Sorry about that! This flight plan contains all the flights Biman would have flown, both domestic and international, had all their aircraft been in flyable condition. You don't have to use fixed arrivals, but I suggest you do.
The DC-10s and A310s are available from Project AI in decent quality. The F-28 is available from Avsim, but you'll need to download model and textures separately.
The file is MRAI compatible.

GMAX built version of the Classic DC-4 conversion the Aviation Traders Carvair.
Four liveries included 2 X British Air Ferries, British United and BUAF representing the Carviar in its intended role as a Car Ferry, later used purely in a Freight role the versatile Carvair saw widespread service world-wide. 2 or three out of the 21 distinctive DC-4/C54 conversions remain operational today.

File Description:
Powell, Wyoming was a major stop-over for Frontier Airlines starting in 1950 with DC-3's for people going from Billings, Montana to Salt Lake City, Utah and points in-between. A nice little airport that needed alot of help.
I discovered this airport flying the Frontier route in my DC-3 and didn't like the looks of it at all! So I fixed it.
It has a 6175X100' asphalt runway and 2 dirt-grass useable runways.
Look at the default pics and then see what lots of help from Google Earth and FS Earth can do to a sad airport.

For the FS2004 Model of the freeware SGA DC-9-10.This package contains only DXT3 textures,base model needs to be installed.
This Special rare Livery was to be the official "New look" in 1982,but due to the merger with Continental Airlines,this livery was only put on 2 aircraft.
I, as well as several former TI employees do remember this livery concept being discussed,and to even find a photo of it after 25 years makes this an even more special repaint.

was taken over by British Airways and the BCAL dc-10's were repainted into this Caledonian paint scheme to come into line with the British Airways network. The Dc-10's were based mainly on routes out of
Gatwick but also could be seen when covering for other flights out of London Heathrow.You must have the great PMDG MD-11 model to use this repaint.I hope you enjoy.

From 1996-2000, AeroLyon operated a single DC-10-30(with a 2nd being added in 2001) mostly between secondary French cities and the French Caribbean, with the occasional intra-Europe charter. These plans will work for the whole era, but I kept the DC-10 rather busy to ensure that all French cities that saw AeroLyon get used at least once. The aircraft usually makes a stop in France on the way to TNCM/TNCC or TFFF/TFFR then does the same on the way back. The only day the aircraft visits LFPO is Sunday, on the way back from a real charter that took place to LOWW in 1998. Jason King has painted the DC-10 on avsim as: "aim_dc1030_aero_lyon.zip". FS2002 Vans DC-9-32(freeware version) Legend Airlines
Legend Airlines was a Full Service Low Cost Aircarrier that started from Dallas Love Field,on April 5th,2000.Flights were non-stops to Los Angeles,Las Vegas,& Washington Dulles.And then added service to New York (LaGuardia) on Sept.6th,2000.Despite the fact the LEGEND was making a nice profit,The events of 9-11 saw to this carriers demise,as well as several other air carriers.Legends DC-9's were literaly Luxury Liners.Configured for 56 seats instead of the normal 3-2 102/115 seating,with plush Leather seats with an unheard of 46" seat pitch!.There were also Satellite TV's on each seat back as well as a Laptop computer port at each seat!!.
This DC-9 has its roots with Texas International Airlines and Continental,and then the storage facility in the desert.The N12508 Reg.# was later changed to N920LG.
