| Universal Airlines Douglas DC-8-54 |

This is a repaint of the DC-8-54 in Universal Airlines colors. The payware DC-8-50-70 by JustFlight is needed for this repaint.
Universal Airlines was a U.S. supplemental carrier that operated from 1966 to 1972. It was based at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti, Michigan. It was initially known as Zantop Air Transport. In 1967 the Zantop family sold the airline and it became Universal Airlines. Universal operated military charters for the USAF, in addition to their normal charter operations. The Lockeed L-188 Electras were introduced in 1967, and Universal added DC-8s, both standard and stretched versions, to their fleet in 1969. They also leased three additional DC-8s over the next three years. On June 4, 1970, Universal purchased American Flyers Airline, another supplemental carrier. Costs, led by fuel price increases, prevented the carrier from earning sufficient revenues to sustain the new merger. On May 4, 1972 Universal declared bankruptcy and shut its doors. Its USAF contract, together with the aircraft, were taken over by Saturn Airways.
This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Trans Caribbean Airways was a US airline with offices in New York,but with its main hub in Puerto Rico. It began operations in 1945 and operated until March 1971 when it was acquired by American Airlines. It was a low budget airline with a very attractive livery.
This is a repaint of a DC-8-61 in their colors.You need the payware JustFlight DC-8-60 for this repaint.It was tested on FSX-SE.

Robert spent 8 years (and who know's how many $$$) bringing her up to a magnificent standard. I hope I've done it justice! Based on Manfred Jahn's freeware C-47.

Textures for Jens B. Kristensen's excellent Douglas DC-4/C-54, repainted by Manfred Meyer.
This are textures only, You need to download and install DC4_V30.ZIP by J. B. Kristensen, use the cargo model with no radar nose!
These textures depict N529D (c/n 10748) of Caicos International Limited.
The aircraft was delivered in june 1945 as 42-72643 to the USAAF. After conversion to DC-4 in 1946 she went to China and flew for CNAC and CAT as XT-T-07 and XT-102. 1949 the plane came into US register as N4890V and served with several companies like Trans Ocean, Southwest, Riddle and Flying Tiger. 1960 she goes to Paraguayan Air Service as ZP-CBP and later in 1968 to SAM Colombia as HK-529. Bought by Florida Aircraft Leasing in 1970 and leased 1973 to 1975 to Caicos International Limited.
After then flew for Anglers Club and Southern Aero Trades, after all it believed destroyed in Colombia 1979.

This National Airlines's DC-8-71 for the excellent model by AI Aardvark (Base package available from AVSIM). This aircraft belonged to Murray Air, which got bought out by National Airlines. Flightplans are availalbe from AIG. The 3 letter ICAO code doesn't seem to have changed, so you can just replace the old Murray Air texture with this one. Textures are in DX3 format (with and wihtout MIPs) - custom lightmap also included.
