File Description:
Updated 9 March 2014, based on new aerial image background. FSX/Prepar3D dual installer.
Hokitika is a small West Coast township serviced by the regional Hokitika Airport (NZHK). This scenery includes an accurate model of the airport, plus a photoreal township, including a number of photo-textured buildings which give a glimpse of small-town New Zealand. The scenery is part of the Vector Land Class series of airfields, although you can use it with the default FSX, or any other landclass base such as FTX NZSI. It requires the VectorLandClass Libraries, but these are included in this installation.

Model developed by Tenkuu Developers Studio, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. Model design by Hiroshi Igami. Flight dynamics design by Nick Wilkinson, with assistance from David Biggar. Master textures and paint kit by Kyle Schurb. File Description:
The coverage area begins in the western end of the Florida Keys at The Dry Tortugas, heads north to Tampa, over to Grand Bahama, south to the Cay Sal Bank and eastward to Great Inagua covering all of the Florida Keys and the entire Bahamas Island chain. The scenery also corrects island position errors overlooked by UTX-USA and UTX-TAC in the Dry Tortugas, on the Cay Sal Bank, adding the missing Cays there and also on the Bahama Bank. Lighthouse placement error corrections are also included.
For those pilots with REX Essentials + Overdrive (REX3) a section of the manual is devoted to creating a custom selection of REX3 textures. by Wally-Bob

| Reduced Braking Effectiveness in Rain and Snow |

File Description:
If you want more realism and are tired of having the same braking effectiveness in rain and snow as on a dry runway then this is for you.
There are two gauges, "BrakingAction" and "BrakingAction_AntiSkid".
Use the gauge "BrakingAction" for aircraft which do not have an AntiSkid system; do not use it on aircraft with antiskid (e.g. airliners) - for those use "BrakingAction_AntiSkid".
The gauges will reduce braking effectiveness during rain, snow, and freezing rain. In addition, the "BrakingAction" gauge simulates blocked wheels if you stay on the brake for too long; blocked wheels will further reduce the braking effectiveness; in addition, blocked wheels will put wear on the tires on dry and rainy runways; this may lead to a blown tire.
NOTE: The gauges are made for users who either use the keyboard or an assigned button (or two for differential brakes) on the joystick for braking. The gauges will most likely not work with devices that allow a progressive braking input, i.e. that allow you to apply brake pressure anywhere between 0 and 100% (I guess there are rudder pedals that allow you to do that).
