Tips and Tricks - Number 22 - May 2006 Issue. This is the last issue before Summer Vacation and it is packed fuller than usual with a wide assortment of tips and ideas designed to enhance your FS2004 flying experience. Of special interest is a segment which will help you create your own VIP parking space. The regular "From the E-mail bag" and "Of Historic Interest" segments are included as well as several suggestions for unusual Vacation Destinations - three in South America and one in the Caribbean. Also included is a brief tribute to the late Leon Louis. An updated index in .pdf format for the entire series by John Burford is also included. UK2000 Scenery "Stansted Xtreme" for FSX . Made to a high level of detail and accuracy but still maintaining a friendly frame rates. It uses animation to bring the airport alive. Includes detailed images of the real Stansted airport taken from actual photographs used under licence. Stansted Airport is one of London’s main gateways, which has expanded to rival Heathrow and Gatwick. This Scenery is the third of the next generation of airports from UK2000 Scenery, using new methods and modeling systems.Today Stansted is a very busy airfield for low cost airlines like Ryanair, Easyjet and Air Berlin, It’s also is a large cargo hub for TNT and FedEx.
You can download and use Stansted Xtreme in 'DEMO mode' for FREE. A FS2004 version is also also available.

To Eric Cantu for an easy to use paint kit (I used only the standard paint program.) This download includes two models - The two represent a "what of". What if Sandals resorts owned and operated a couple of 727s - one serving their "Signature Resorts" and a second providing family services to the Beaches resorts - well, it could happen! Note that the aircraft proudly sport the Sesame Street logo, as Sandals is a proud sponsor of this long running achievement in quality TV. Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints.
This texture represents "Lil 8 Ball" from the 709th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group. These were all delivered to the 447th in spring of 1944 and, incredibly, all survived only to be scrapped at Kingman, Az. L'il Eight ball was one of the 447th's "Century Ships" (completed at least 100 missions).

| Italian Air Force Lockeed P-38 / F-5E |

File Description:
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was one of the most prominent fighters throughout WWII in both major theaters of operation. The L was also the only series to be produced under contract by a different manufacturer than Lockheed. In all, nearly 4,000 P-38L's were made, making it the most numerous variant. Many of these were converted to F-5 Photo Lightnings. The Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare Italiana) received from U.S.A.A.F., after the war's end, several used P-38 in various version (L / J / F-5), but many aircrafts were bought as 'metal' from U.S.A.A.F's scraps by A.M.I. and 'heroically' restored in flight condition by Italian technicians. Textures only for a P-38 / F-5E, in 'A.M.I. 3rd Stormo' livery for payware 'Sky Unlimited Lockheed Aircraft P38 Vol.1'. Repaint by Manuele Villa.

| Royal Italian Air Force Lockeed P-38J |

File Description:
The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was one of the most prominent fighters throughout WWII in both major theaters of operation. P-38s scored some of the first victories in the Pacific Theater. In Europe, they often provided high-altitude long range escorts for bombers. A P-38 was captured by the Italians on 12th June 1943 after a mistaken landing in Capoterra airport (Cagliari, Sardinia). After a while, with 'Regia Aeronautica's insignas (Royal Italian Air Force), it was flown by Colonel Angelo Tondi in a fighter mission over Torvajanica (Rome), where a B-24 was shotted down. The aircraft was finally grounded due to the damages caused by Italian fuel to the tanks.Textures only in 'Regia Aeronautica' livery for payware 'Sky Unlimited Lockheed Aircraft P38 Vol.1'. | KMHV Mojave Airport v2.0 |

File Description:
This remote former World War II desert airfield has developed some very interesting and unusual features. It is a center for civilian aviation R&D, a major aircraft storage and scrap yard (possibly the largest nonmilitary one in the country), a busy film site, and is the home of the National Test Pilot School, the largest civilian test pilot school in the world. Also located here is Burt Rutan's Scaled Composites company, where many innovative aircraft designs have been conceived and constructed. Mojave Airport is also where many commercial carriers store surplus or otherwise in- limbo airliners. There are currently around 90 airplanes waiting to be sold, repaired or reused here, including several 747s. This file has been designed to work on both FS2004 and FS-X platforms.

File Description:
One Pilatus demonstrator in 1986 livery.The Pilatus PC7 Turbo Trainer originally flew on April 12 1966, this initial version was essentially a modified Pilatus P3 with a 550SHP PW&C PT6A-20 Turboprop, and failed to attract any sales until 1975 when the PC7 appeared with the PT6A-25 engine (of 650SHP) and a whole host of improvements. Since that time the PC7 has proven to be a capable trainer, and has since been superseded by the more capable PC9, and recently the PC-21, however the PC7 still continues to serve well in the training role of various air force's worldwide. This model has been fully constructed with FSDS v2.11 and it uses many common parts from my Pilatus PC9 Project (@ www.aussim.com). Textures only, requires original aircraft by David Friswell to www.aussim.com .

File Description:
I am proud to present this Project Airbus A320-214, registration N270AV, of USA3000 Airlines. USA3000 is a FAA Part 121 Air Carrier based in Newton Square, Pennsylvania created out of the idea for the travel company Apple Vacations to have its own airline. Although it does operate scheduled flights, USA3000 is principally a (vacation) charter airline. The USA3000 fleet comprises exclusively the A320. This is one of the current fleet of 10 A320's operated by USA3000. This aircraft appropriately bears the name 'Cancun', as she and the rest of the USA3000 fleet regularly dominate the international gates at MMUN. The textures in this repaint are 32-bit. This is a complete install; Project Airbus A320 CFM model and air files included. Uses default 737 panel and sounds.

File Description:
Procedures based on current cycle (0711 25Oct-22Nov) Update to procedures contained in the Cycle 0711 Collection. FAA Digital Aeronautical Information and published charts, including all three 18/36 runways. All arrivals and departures are provided with NOATC enumerations for routing without ATC vectors as well as the "as published" procedures requiring an ATC service (such as VATSIM). The vectors-only Cincinnati departure is excluded (it has no routes) but I have created four NOATC departures for commonly used departure gates (APE DQN MIE & RIKLE). All STARs are included, each one with four runway selections for use in lieu of ATC vectors. All approaches are also included. The text header of the file is copied into a readme with details on each procedure. For PMDG 737NG/747-400/747-400X only.
