PAKT - Ketchikan airport - Ketchikan, Alaska - USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This AFCAD requires payware "Ultimate Terrain Alaska X"!! It will not work without it as it is built on the underlying terrain features and the included file "PAKT_AP.BGL" which has to be renamed or moved to a folder outside the FSX terrain environment. The original file included some errors which I tried to correct. This patch is published with permission.

Changes: The apron layout is corrected including now taxiway "C" leading to GA parking. The pavement has been changed to asphalt as it appears to be when taking aerial pictures as template. The runway got the proper overruns at both sides and the position of the ILS glideslope and localizer has been corrected as well as the DME. The layout of the airport building arrangement including the tower should be now closer to the real world and I added a working jetway. However, I used FSX default objects. As I was dependent on quite rare layout information I just tried to adjust the taxi paths and parking spots probably closer to the reality than before but I did not put any effort to name the parking spots like in real life nor did I take care for taxi signs (only the runway entries got such).

B25 Mitchell Bomber Download

File Description:
B25 Mitchell for X-Plane 6.40-6.6 Made famous by the Doolittle raid on Tokyo shortly after Pearl Harbour the B25 Mitchell bomber is the most famous medium bomber of WWII and perhaps of all time. The B25 was the most numerous twin engine aircraft built by the US during WWII; estimates of production vary from 9300 to 11000 built. On April 18, 1942 Doolittle led sixteen B-25 aircraft from the navy carrier, U.S.S. Hornet to bomb Japan in retaliation for that country's attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Although little damage was done and all planes were lost the raid proved to be one of the most famous missions of the war. The B25 was powered by a pair of 1,700 hp Wright R-2600-29 "Cyclone" 14 cylinder, air-cooled engines. Maximum speed was 272 mph at 15,000 ft, with a ceiling of 24,000 ft and a range of 1350 miles with a full load of bombs. Armament varied considerably in the B25 depending on the type of mission the plane was designed for. Heavenly Body is a B25J designed as a bomber, so it carried eleven 0.50 caliber machine guns; two in the top turret, two in the tail, one in the nose, two in cheek packs on each side under the pilot and one in each waste window. The top, nose and cheek pack guns could also be used in strafing, if so desired. This version carried 3,000 lbs of bombs (usually six 500 pounders) in an interior bomb bay. The X-Plane version is a fairly faithful rendition of the B25. The body consists of two sections consisting of the fuselage and a fuel tank. The main engine nacelles actually consist of two nacelles, one is the 1700 HP engine, the rear section is a 5 lb thrust rocket. Engine nacelles are also used for the two rudders in order to get the correct shape. Vertical stabilizers with rudders are buried within the nacelles. Decoration of the plane is complicated by the use of multiple nacelles but the resulting compromise is acceptable though not an authentic replica.

As usual my panel leaves a lot to be desired but version 2 will correct this.

WASP PT-17 Stearman (N59293) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N59293, owned/operated by Andrew and Mike Porter, based at Spring Lake, New Jersey. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-25714 and was used continually from June 1942 until June 1945. During WWII the aircraft had multiple assignments, one of which included Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, home of the WASP (Women's Airforce Service Pilots), where it was based from February 1943 until August 1944. Sold surplus after the war, the aircraft was used as a crop duster in New Mexico all the way until 1981. Starting in 2006, the aircraft was restored to factory-original award-winning condition, and painted in the same markings it wore while stationed at Avenger Field, flying as a tribute to all of the WASP pilots. (In one of the aircraft's other WWII training assignments, Donald Strait flew this aircraft during flight training and would go on to become a double-ace flying P-51's with the 361st Fighter Squadron).

Ghana Airways 1998 AI Flightplans Download

File Description:
Ghana Airways was only 6 years from the end of a long history in 1998. A pair of DC-9-51s flew around West Africa, sometimes on 6-stop flights, while the 2 DC-10-30s(one of which was still in the old livery) flew to New York and the 3 routes remaining in Europe. Though based in ACC, ABJ seems to have had more flights and destinations from the DC-9s. One of the DC-9s was destroyed in a crash landing 2 years later and the airline never recovered, shutting down in 2004. A single Fokker 27-600 was operated by the Ghana Air Force as "Ghana Link", a regional subsidiary of Ghana Airways, in full Ghana military colors. I have included that aircraft with representative domestic flights as flights were not listed on the schedule. Links to repaints included. Part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Images related to this file:

File Description:
This packet includes a updated repaint of the harvard PH-TBR of the SKHV/KluHV (Koninklijke Luchtmacht Historische Vlucht aka Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight). Stationed at Gilze Rijen Airbase in the Netherlands.

The PH-TBR/B-182 scheme is from the so called "BAFO Vlucht" (Photo Flight) stationed at Deelen Airbase until 1967.

For more info on the RNLAF Historical Flight please pay a visit to there homepage: https://kluhv.nl/home-eng/

The repaint is both on the outside and inside (Virtual cockpit & pilots). As much detail is added as possible, accurate decals/stencils, also the bump-map was modified, some latches removed some other added, also modified the baggage compartment to look more like a Harvard then the Texan one.

In this 50 Years edition the stencils and decals are updated to 99% accurate to the real one. The VC textures got a major update.

Lufthansa "Precious Cargo" Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300 (D-ILHF) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I don't think Lufthansa Cargo actually flies a Phenom 300 with the "Precious Cargo" repaint but, if they did, I bet it would be similar to this one. This is intended for those special flights that are more than urgent, and the cargo is more special than normal, hence the "Precious Cargo". D-ILHF would be used for those downtown or city center airports that the Gulfstreams or Falcons can't get into and out of. I made this repaint with the modern cargo haulers in mind, not necessarily the 'cargo dogs' with the mid-night and red eye runs and using aircraft with questionable maintenance and those that never seem to get washed and waxed. Not this one, it is kept in the hangar when not in use and is always in pristine condition. It come with a small red square of carpet for those times that the "Precious Cargo" can walk to the cabin door. Use only with the payware version of the Carenado EMB-505 Phenom 300 for FSX, P3D, and FSX:Steam. Hope you enjoy the repaint.
