Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 49

File Description:
We make stops in Nigeria (2), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon (2), Angela (4) and Namibia. Newbies to this pack are the Boeing 737-800 and DreamWings Embraer 170. You will run into a mild thunderstorm on the second leg. On the fourth leg the air gets rather bumpy and violent. Does FS2004 have clear air turbulence? I bounced up 2,000ft then down another 1,500ft in a matter of seconds. I reduced my speed to regain control of my bird.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 51

File Description:
We make stops in Reunion, Madagascar (2), Comoros, Tanzania (2), Kenya, Somalia (2) and Yemen. The only newbie to this pack is the HJG Convair 990A. On the 6th leg you will experience some nice chops the entire flight. Later, Mach along the African continent in clear blue skies using the YF23A. On the 9th leg, look for the lone thunderstorm brewing over the ocean on the left side. The 757 brings this pack to a close.

File Description:
We make stops in Oman (2), Iran, Pakistan (3) and India (4). Another test for HRW pilots: Speed brake down the mountain in a Learjet. Nice scenery while flying over Pakistan and India. The shortest runway so far in this adventure: 535ft. Can you takeoff? Don’t even try! Keep your King Air in one piece.

File Description:
We make stops in India (7), Maldives and Sri Lanka (2). The only newbie to this pack is the FSFrance Project Mach2 Concorde. What a thrill flying this classic sleek bird up to 60,000ft. The Lear45 has a tough time taking off on the gravel runway but I know you can make it on the first leg. Some good chops as you ride past many thunderheads. So far, 537 takeoffs/landings and 96,937 miles flown.

We make stops in India (5), Bangladesh, Bhutan and China (3). The only newbie to this pack is the HJG Boeing 720. Is leg 0549 the hardest leg in the HRW? You decide! Fly the A319 into a high altitude landing that is very steep and requires every ounce of skill you possess. Don’t miss the volcanic lake on the mountaintop. The scenery is absolutely stunning. WOW – 547 takeoffs/landings, 66 aircraft types flown and 99,060 miles behind us.

We make stops in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo (DRC) (4), Cameroon, Chad and Sudan. The first rain shower in Africa kick things off. We are now at the halfway mark in the Hopping Round the World Adventure since starting on August 3, 2003. 9 months have passed and 74,492 packs downloaded to date. 48 aircraft types, 427 takeoffs/landings and 69,856 miles flown so far. The upcoming packs take us back up towards Italy, the UK, France and Spain. Who can believe it? It’s now spring.

What FAPE does for you?? 1) FAPE adds about 50 new clickspots to make easier the opening/closing of every panel window, following GUI ergonomical rules. You won't move your mouse anymore to open popup panels. 2) FAPE adds a clickspot to display the RealityXP500 Weather Radar (if you own it, of course). 3) FAPE integrates Rob Barendregt's nice Pushback gauge within the center panel. 4) FAPE displays the FMS in a smaller size and in the right bottom corner of the screen. 5) FAPE allows using the Panel Controller Window (panel icons) from the VFR window configuration, so you will be able to open every other panel from the VFR panel.
